- LaurenElder, on 10/27/2009, -5/+306Aww wonder what's wrong with the little guy. I also have a feeling this is how ape revolutions get started.

- AgentRoyIV, on 10/28/2009, -1/+162There is an amazing amount of emotion in this picture..
- eastwood24, on 10/27/2009, -2/+137Something tells me the big stoic looking ape in the back of the group knows where they're taking him.
- Lucas123, on 10/28/2009, -3/+127That's horrible. Your dog died?
- chadsmith729, on 10/28/2009, -1/+112RIP Dorothy. You will be missed, granted you lived to be 40 which is damn old for an ape but still you will be missed.
- pault107, on 10/28/2009, -5/+116My mother bought me and my brother a puppy when I was a kid and we grew up together. She lived to the age of 17. When she died I was devastated. I'm welling up just writing this and I'm now a 35 year old man. Call me a pussy, I don't care - I loved that dog and she was part of the family.
I don't think I could ever have a dog again due to the thought of it dying and having to go through all of that again. - dinuguan, on 10/28/2009, -1/+97Why I oughta..!
- Lucas123, on 10/28/2009, -2/+93It is heart-wrenching to lose a dog. They're the ultimate loyal friend. Every time you walk through the door, for them, it's like a rock star just entered the room - even if you only walked outside to get the newspaper. And every dog has a very distinct personality. I hope you overcome your fear of losing another dog, because it's better to have loved and lost -- even more than once.
Dogs are just awesome. - BenRoth, on 10/28/2009, -1/+91I hope that was a copy-and-paste double typo.

- askantik, on 10/28/2009, -2/+61"Do chimps grieve?"
Did they actually ask that question? FFS. I can see how thinking that non-human animals aren't just retard drones could be upsetting to our traditions, but seriously, how could anyone not know this? I read a study where a mother chimp carried around her dead baby for several days... and she knew it was dead. Elephants grieve when they lose a herd member. Dogs get sad when we're not at home... - B1ackD0g, on 10/28/2009, -4/+61BoingBoing link: http://www.boingboing.net/2009/10/27/do-chimps-gri ...

I suppose I need to stop working and start checking comments while I post to digg ;) - fingerrockets4, on 10/28/2009, -0/+55I love seeing animals show curiosity or concern.
I have seen something like this before with black birds
when i was a kid a black bird had a bloody broken wing and was stranded in my back yard. the neighbors dog wanted to see the bird the other birds kept that dog back by swooping down and biting it on its ass.
my older brother ended up dropped a cinder block on that wounded bird to put it out of its misery. The other birds went nuts and scratched him up pretty bad.
LOL even to this day he thinks all black birds know what he did and are out to get him. - amcnair, on 10/28/2009, -2/+54Make sure you get a dog when you have kids. Nothing better for kids than a dog around the house. Nothing better for a dog than to have kids to play with.

- tswelti, on 10/28/2009, -0/+30Crows have one of the largest brain/body ratios of all birds. They're very intelligent. Even considered by some aviary experts to be the most intelligent of all bird species. They're also cannibals.
