The three-day old kitten, born in Midvale, had an extremely rare deformity that left it with four eyes, two noses and two mouths that were identical.

  • superkendall, on 11/23/2008, -4/+65It's sad this cat perished, but if you feel empathy there are a lot of cats out there in shelters needing homes - as economic times gets harder, some people abandon cats and they end up in shelters (if they are lucky).

    If you can't take in a cat for whatever reason, consider finding an donating to a local feral cat rescue organization - they attempt to spay/neuter wild cats so colonies will not grow, and rescue domestic cats living in the wild and put them into foster homes until they can get help. They are also a good source of cats that need the most help.

    Just google for "Feral Cat " and you'll probably find something related. In Colorado, one group that helps is the Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance:

It's not much, but they're overcrowded and we have too many already. Just a few weeks ago, we took in a feral kitten. It doesn't like us, but it loves the other cats, so we think it's a success anyway.
