      Macro is what close up photography is called. since you use a macro lens(makes little things appear big). Most point and shoots have a "macro mode" which normally is symbolized by a flower. a sure fire way to know it's a macro is because the closer the shooting distance the shorter the depth of field which is why the other crab is blurred right out even though he's only a couple inches away.
