- absurdist, on 11/11/2008, -0/+138Hmmm... so will this be Obama's first diplomatic crisis? ;)
- thegamingguy, on 11/11/2008, -2/+119That's a pretty sweet gesture... not sure if it is cute enough though.
- TexasShiv, on 11/11/2008, -2/+90Awkwardddd...
- EdgarVerona, on 11/11/2008, -4/+84How do you tactfully tell a country "I'm sorry, but your national dog is butt ugly?"
- DrewBlood, on 11/11/2008, -0/+68My Peruvian friend has one of these dogs and it's a total doll. Ugly in pictures but the cutest, friendliest, most playful dog I've ever had the pleasure to dog-sit for. They are real characters!
- affiliatebroker, on 11/11/2008, -4/+61What a lovely dog and gesture. I hope they take it.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+56Bald and toothless? They should name it Dick Cheney
- kismetropolis, on 11/11/2008, -0/+54That dog is so ugly it's cute.
If you're being generous. - Jowsley, on 11/11/2008, -0/+51I it's not as ugly as I expected. This one doesn't look half bad, IMHO-

- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -5/+50They should get a pit bull and name it sarah. lol
- renegadeafk, on 11/11/2008, -1/+41and pan flute bands
- Cloned, on 11/11/2008, -6/+46I really want the Obama family to adopt from a shelter, mainly to raise awareness for the millions of homeless animals. The media and Obama is making such an issue about this that it would be huge disappointment if they got a purebred from a breeder. Besides, shelter dogs are the greatest dogs, they always remember who saved them.
I work at a shelter, by the way. - natenovs, on 11/11/2008, -1/+35he should name it 'Maverick'
- PoizonFrog, on 11/11/2008, -0/+34No teeth? I s'pose it couldn't bite anyone, but still...
it's like the Sphinx cat of the dog world...heh..heh - whatthefu, on 11/11/2008, -0/+30That dog is awesome.
- stealth45, on 11/11/2008, -0/+25IT'S A TRAP! First comes the dog, then the guinea pigs.
- jboitnott, on 11/11/2008, -3/+27Well that is definitely not a mutt. It's so different looking - don't know if the Obama's would take it.
- alex7575, on 11/11/2008, -1/+25Awww, come on people, the little dude's cute!
- H4cksaw, on 11/11/2008, -8/+31Peru?! But that's where them terrorists come froms!
- godphase3, on 11/11/2008, -1/+21Obama referred to himself as a mutt when discussing picking dogs.
- natenovs, on 11/11/2008, -0/+18yeh, its like a black deer
- airwalkery2k, on 11/11/2008, -2/+19We Will Name Him Sparkles.
- OmegaWolf, on 11/11/2008, -2/+18I think it's a sweet gesture. Maybe they could accept the Inca dog and adopt another from a shelter as a playmate for it.
I suppose a dog could manage with no teeth since they swallow their food whole. - DealDown, on 11/11/2008, -1/+17"...because it has two large, perky ones."
I knew there was a sexual motive. - killtrocity, on 11/11/2008, -0/+16That is a cool looking dog, IMO. Not exactly cute, but I'd take it for sure.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+15LOOK HOW LOUD I HAVE TO YELL!
- Jumba990, on 11/12/2008, -1/+15and this hot girl in my class.
- Nasterisk, on 11/12/2008, -0/+13and Machu Picchu
- andreo, on 11/11/2008, -2/+14Actually it kinda looks bad assed. I say they go for it. Though you know the right wingers will be up in arms about him not accepting an "American Dog"... Sigh...
- AlexDenne, on 11/11/2008, -1/+13"said Claudia Galvez, 38, director of the Friends of the Peruvian Hairless Dog Association."
Good Job title. - melisser, on 11/11/2008, -2/+14I really hope they adopt from a shelter. It could save hundreds of animals when people follow their lead.
- tonytheshoes, on 11/11/2008, -0/+12Yeah, I think it's kinda regal and majestic looking when it's full-grown.
- zeblith, on 11/11/2008, -1/+12The dog is just fine. Most of these grumpy-butts calling it ugly haven't taken a look in the mirror lately to calibrate their aesthetics metric.
And as a person who typically hates dogs, has terrible allergies, and fears being bitten, I can't help but want one. - zeblith, on 11/11/2008, -0/+11Malia is allergic, and poodles suck.
- fluxion, on 11/11/2008, -0/+11tis true, but i cant help but think its not quite what obama's little girls had in mind...lol
- gorkaboo, on 11/11/2008, -1/+11El Chupacabra!!!!!
- sanman, on 11/11/2008, -0/+10ughh, I'm having a Ren & Stimply flashback
- lostarchitect, on 11/11/2008, -3/+13and crazy sweaters.
- absurdist, on 11/11/2008, -0/+9Who says they can only have one dog? They've got a big yard. :)
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+9'Thanks for the offer, but we've just bought a labrador'
*frantically sends aide to buy labrador* - m0tbaillie, on 11/11/2008, -6/+15It reminds me of a fat chick. They know they don't have much going in the looks department, so they make up with it by having (usually) awesome personalities. Some of the nicest guys/girls I know are fatties.
I say take the dog...it'll grow on them. - IHaveCrayons, on 11/11/2008, -0/+8Thanks for the insight DrewBlood, I was interested in more info about the actual dog rather than remarks about its looks. I love friendly dogs.
- the2989, on 11/11/2008, -3/+11You're ugly.
- ajwinder, on 11/11/2008, -1/+9It looks like a freakin rat. I mean, the thing is just ugly. However, the offer is pretty damn generous, and considering the only thing the current president has been offered is middle fingers (and lots of them), hopefully this is just a signal of how many people around the world want to work with us now.
- BadseedJR, on 11/11/2008, -0/+8As long as it's that toothless breed, he'll be ok.
- OtterStratton, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7...is what Sarah Palin would say when faced with the same offer.
- christinme, on 11/11/2008, -0/+7i like your pic better than the original.
- lintmonkey, on 11/11/2008, -1/+8*often* toothless
