The cheerleader cub is defenseless until she is nearly fully grown, her pompoms at this time only just starting to come in, and her plumage, which as an adult would allow her to distract or stun even the most persistent of predators, has not even begun...

  • fnv2001, on 05/11/2008, -2/+3I hate to sound like the most depressing ***** on here, but these - and other - beautiful creatures of nature are being routinely killed to build more factories, more highways, and more land - a total destruction of the animals and their habitats. In the case of elephants, for example, it's done for their ivory - which is completely repulsive.

    That picture for me is bittersweet. That panda could end up being slaughtered by us.
