- adamroach, on 11/04/2009, -1/+14#34 - Opossum? Better have another look.
- bobadilx, on 11/04/2009, -1/+12Since when is a stuffed animal a pet? That aye-aye is clearly long gone. Here's what it should look like: http://lineout.thestranger.com/files/2007/09/ayeay ...
The guy's flickr even says it's from the Chicago Field Museum....
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ciscel/2086640949/ - cptcliche, on 11/04/2009, -0/+7Looks an awful lot like a skunk. Either that or the skunk looks an awful lot like an opposum
- Maddawg579, on 11/04/2009, -1/+7I stopped at 4. Couldn't go any further after seeing that.
- SpamHat, on 11/04/2009, -1/+6That's one creepy creature.
- danconia, on 11/04/2009, -1/+5Whoever owns that opossum is in for a nasty surprise...
- fluidfoundation, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4Half of these things look like extras from Dark Crystal.
- BlackSnakeMoan, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4Oh God I want a Fox for a pet.
My kindergarten when I was a kid had a pair of chinchillas in one of the rooms. Huge cage with heaps of running space. - xander1062, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3I want a Hover Ferret!
- iheartbakon, on 11/04/2009, -2/+5Pic #2 is aweALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!
- bag2p, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3Not sure if I would consider it exotic though. Who doesn't know someone who has/had a ferret?
- eleraama, on 11/05/2009, -0/+2...You mean ferret?
- eleraama, on 11/05/2009, -0/+2NO YOU DON'T.
The one saving grace about ferrets is they can't get into anything above knee level. Remove that obstacle... *shudder*.
(Happy ferret owner, but Jesus. Christ. Almighty.) - SpazAttack5000, on 11/04/2009, -1/+3Is #4 the Mongolian Death Worm?
- askantik, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Anyone who would keep a hissing cockroach as a pet is ***** up. Also dugg for baby hedgehogs and pot-belly and micro pigs. BTW, since they seem to have put the skunk pic twice instead of the opossum one, here's an opossum: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Opossum_2.jpg
Generally keeping wild animals as "pets" is a bad idea, though, whether or not its illegal. - DforSpiD, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2You missed all the best ones!
- GenerousLinus, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Do you happen to have a picture of an opossum where it isn't staring directly into my soul with its evil little black beady eyes?
- bettverboten, on 11/04/2009, -2/+4I actually have given room & board to a few of those creatures.
The alpaca was really cute. - IKORKYI, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Exotic like a....
box turtle?
ferret?
hermit crab?
Goat?
Boa?
Pot Bellied pig?
Dwarf Bunny?
I don't call animals that you can find in 90% of pet stores and/or farms exotic - tmanv, on 11/04/2009, -3/+4Big ups for the ferret! Crazy little bastards.
- pjsk8, on 11/04/2009, -1/+2lmfao, right? They might as well check to see whether it's a male or female "opossum"
- askantik, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1No, that is what possums do. They also hiss and will come up under your carport and eat your dog's food. My girlfriend also found an injured baby possum but it died a few hours later. They are pretty neat.
Technically opossums are in America and they are just called "possums" in Australia, but everyone in the southern US calls them possums regardless. :P - megamod, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1which one? the flying squirrel going =O
- Phosphan, on 11/04/2009, -1/+2Exotic. Well, the majority is. But why are dwarf bunnies and goats on this list?
- gl77, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1a lot of them you can have as pets as long as you possess some sort of exotic animal license.
- pjsk8, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Then I got to #35.......
- SpamHat, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Don't know which one's meant to be a flying squirrel.
I mean the first one that looks like it's from resident evil - with those 2 front teeth and the spindly fingers. - Tkuebrich, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I don't think a tortoise is too exotic. I mean, I have one and I am barely cool at all.
- Izult, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1LOL i hear that!! they get into enough trouble w/o having hover ability. I have 3 and at least one is a climber. Gods help my family should he EVER learn to fly.
- gl77, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1HA! nice to see the Degu getting some recognition! I have four of them and a gerbil (used to be 2 gerbils till one died couple months ago)
- tylercanopy, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Dugg for the flying squirrel.
- Tarkaan, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Cats are bad enough, howling at your feet when they hear the can opener. Imagine one of those things going "MY PRECIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSS......."
Edit: The kinkajou would be cool. - NewsHunterk, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Ferrets, rabbits, goats and pigs are all quite common
But whats worse is quite a few on the list are endangered/illegal to keep as pets - MrBenC, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1i have a pacman frog and a dozen stick bugs at the moment. the stick bugs are asexual and one turns into dozens in a matter of months. should have hundreds in a few months here. may start feeding them to the frog at that point. (he eats feeder fish currently) :)
- gloopofdoom, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1I had a sugar glider for a while. Then it died. My theory is that it died of loneliness. B/c it's living conditions were perfect.
- daviz0, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1are they the Thorneberrys ?
- andoru, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Doesn't everyone have a levitating albino possum?
- carl25, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1wouldn't mind a tame racoon
- palehorse864, on 11/04/2009, -2/+2#5 was unexpected and cracked me up. :)
- asgardshill, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1I might not have lived in the country for a long time, but 34 ain't no possum.
And I had a prairie dog up until a couple of years ago. Apophis the male went nuts and took a chunk of meat out of my right hand - took 13 staples to fix. - RubberSumo, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1You wouldn't want that first one sleeping at the end of your bed at night...
- perre, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1My Normal Pets Can Do Something Your Normal Pet Can't Do
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65c1ng0G1nQ - eviscerator, on 11/04/2009, -2/+1These are some great pictures ^_^
- JoeNaguib, on 11/04/2009, -2/+1Awww those hedgehogs look like little creepy vagina's with huge *****!
