Take away on-photo comments now. They are ruining photos.
Signed,

- asskicker32, on 11/30/2008, -0/+35wow. Users on Flickr are stupider than the users on digg.
- mrgulabull, on 11/30/2008, -1/+22Hi, I'm an admin for the digg group 'Funny Commenters Anonymous' and we'd love to have your comment added to the group. (Post 1 - Give a digg to 5)

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called I'm a ***** Idiot, and we'd love to have your photo added to the group
seriously whats up with that? - consterXnation, on 11/30/2008, -0/+10A) it shouldn't be up there to begin with (it should at least be something that you voluntarily activate with a click or something)
B) it doesn't always work. In fact, with Firefox it doesn't work most of the time. - cparsons, on 11/30/2008, -0/+10all three of you copied the on-photo comment
- wiredclimber, on 11/30/2008, -0/+9Nope. Thanks for the info.
- teh_spazz, on 11/30/2008, -3/+10"***** humans"
- Adgeman, on 11/30/2008, -0/+7With you there; I go to Flickr to look at pictures not to real LOLjokes.
- AmyVernon, on 11/28/2008, -10/+17Awww. Very cute.
- depro9, on 11/30/2008, -0/+7This is the fate of Polar Bears, at the bottom of the ocean crying.
- SgtOompa, on 11/30/2008, -0/+6Double Facepalm
- sockpuppets, on 11/30/2008, -0/+6Wow, promoting your obama wallpaper site. One day you're going to make one special lady really, really bored.
- cl2yp71c, on 11/30/2008, -0/+6Picture was taken seconds before it teleported.
- Schmich, on 11/30/2008, -0/+5Title is indeed inaccurate. He is obviously playing hide and seek.
- Maghook, on 11/30/2008, -0/+4Who's to say someone from Digg with a Flickr account didn't copy mine instead?
- Koadan, on 11/30/2008, -0/+4Everyone who read this title imagined the same voice.
- Snokage, on 11/30/2008, -0/+4but the box is always there...
- HeavyWave, on 11/30/2008, -0/+4Sometimes it glitches and you have to reload the page.
- CrazyUncleKevin, on 11/30/2008, -0/+3Am I really the only one who thought "goatse" when they saw this? Curse you internet I want my innocence back.
- Dyasa, on 11/30/2008, -2/+5I don't know dude. Sarah Palin is pretty bad.
- TheObviousChild, on 11/30/2008, -0/+3UP AND AT THEM!
- godofallcows, on 11/30/2008, -0/+3I see what you did there.
Good thing you can move your mouse and read other people's comments.
facepalm.jpg - inactive, on 11/30/2008, -1/+4And thus the experiment to introduce the polar bear, into its new habitat in the dead-sea did not go as planed.
- liquisoft, on 11/30/2008, -1/+4This is not funny, it's sad. How can I ignore the plight of the polar bear and its habitat simply because somebody slapped some lolcat-esque humor on top of a simple photo?
I'll get buried for not being a mindless tool, but so be it. - deezeejoey, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2He's obviously a peek-a-boo master.
- Jadey, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2What's with all the "I'm the admin of x group" comments on the pic on Flickr and why am I asking this on Digg?
- openbah, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2There is a Greasemonkey script to hide all photo notes:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/4909 - SilverBack101, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2...ummm what? :x
- Kakemonstere, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2Or say that basically any picture with a creature holding over its eyes gets that comment.
- Xviper78, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2Your comment sucks even more than the title.
- wiredclimber, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2Spambot fail?
- ansatsu29, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2You should have seen this:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ucumari/427035041/in/ ... - Atario, on 11/30/2008, -6/+8You do realize they go away if you mouse off the picture, right?
- Halsfield, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2i think there should simply give a checkbox for submitters to check or uncheck to allow or disallow comment boxes on photos. That way for pictures that the submitter might want comments on (aka he's practicing his photography, or other reasons) its possible, without defaulting to allow them on all photos where they are incredibly annoying and usually pretty infantile.
- consterXnation, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1Amen! Cool idea, but make it something the person can voluntarily activate with a mouse-click or clicking a check-box.
- ..eD, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1Flickr has a defect. The comments only go away if you mouse over a part of the photo that has no comments and then move off the photo. When some idiot fills the entire photo with a comment, it is not possible to mouse over an uncommented area.
- toddkay, on 11/30/2008, -2/+3Buried for WAY too many flickr tags, successfully ruining the picture
- inactive, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1The seal is in his belly. He is hiding in shame but nobody can ignore the polar bear in the tank.
- inactive, on 11/30/2008, -1/+2Where's the seal....
HERE IT IS! - zerosixtyseven, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1it was probably just the camera flash blinding the bear
- HoraceBalthasar, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1Nope.
- tgc1, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1I agree. That's one of the most annoying features to date. Totally ruins most peoples work.
- inactive, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1Actually dude you can also disable the youtube notations by clicking the notation icon in the lower right portion of the video.
