- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -1/+14if i were a monkey that chimp in the picture would be my role model. he looks very wise. I bet he could teach you some awesome secret monkey handshakes like the article mentions.
- Brad324, on 01/10/2008, -0/+10Pretty soon monkeys will be saying things like "I'm the decider!"
- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -0/+8he looks far too distinguished and proud. He probably has gay sex in bathrooms with a "wide stance"
- inghamb87, on 01/10/2008, -1/+9I for one welcome our chimp overlords
- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -0/+8All stories are about monkeys, unless they are about cats.
- madk, on 01/10/2008, -0/+7I wonder if they look up to the other monkeys who don't have to pay for sex.

- entrophize, on 01/10/2008, -1/+4What's with all the monkeys on Digg recently?
- yuutokun, on 01/10/2008, -1/+4I lie alone. Naked on my bed. Why did you leave you leave me like this? I shared with you my my inner most hopes and dreams... yet you left me here in the dark. This emptiness inside fills me with sorrow, but who will be there to comfort me now that you're gone. Everything, all my hopes and dreams... shattered...
All because I fell in love with a monkey. - roberto_deneero, on 01/10/2008, -0/+2Yea, it's called George Bush.
- duggreen, on 01/10/2008, -0/+2I guess the Scots are as far behind the Japanese as all the other Western cultures when it comes to studying primates. I was a teenager When Jane Goodall started getting huge flak for actually naming her subjects instead of numbering them and remaining at a non interactive distance to study them like any normal western scientist. Of course I read Conrad Lorenz as a preteen, so I was prepared to draw the line of distinction much closer than most other humans already. Now 'culture' is the new line. S'posedely humans have it but...get this... animals dont....(stifles laugh). When will western scientists realize how deeply ingrained religion has become in our thinking?
- fluidfoundation, on 01/10/2008, -1/+3I wonder if that monkey pays for sex..
- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -0/+2Leave GW Bush alone! You are lucky he agreed to be your leader!

- invectivelover, on 01/10/2008, -0/+2You forgot to add "...is dumber than a baboons ass."
- smek2, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1God gave that to them to test our faith. or something or another
- SeldonPsych, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1Great article but no there's mention of monkeys, only chimps. Evidently, some people confuse great apes with monkeys. Crazy.
- empiric, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1What do you mean "came from"? I don't acknowledge you've made any transition from "animal", since you have no rationale for suggesting so. So, "came from" is without meaning for you--no category state change has ever happened.
However, for someone who does have such a rationale, I'd have to evaluate him/her differently, of course. - lazerus9, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1The primate pictured above is on a book signing tour of his latest work entitled;"Darwinism Debunked"
- Sunflare670, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1and, eventually, secret monkey kung fu

- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -1/+2Lets just hope their role model is not Vanilla Ice
- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1We are...
- j4ck80, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1Chimps aren't monkeys.
- offspring06, on 01/10/2008, -1/+2Yes we are animals. Just because were intelligent doesn't mean we aren't animals. Humans still act out on instinct before intelligence sometimes.
- seriatim, on 01/10/2008, -1/+1So captive monkeys act like scottish children? Scottish children are in a lot secret societies, I guess. Do the monkeys like haggis? Maybe scottish children are their role models.
- lacolonel, on 01/11/2008, -0/+0read the research done by the Gardners.....cited in Dragons of Eden by the late and great Carl Sagan.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” - electricyoda, on 01/10/2008, -0/+0Here's a shocker! Humans are animals too! Oh, my god! I just heard of this guy named Darwin. Can you imagine? Monkeys are similar to humans and learn by watching others! Oh, this is big big big news! Animals are actually similar to humans? You'd almost have thought that we came from other animals! No, that would not go along with the bible... it can't be true. I can't believe it! Monkeys have similar traits to humans? Who'd a thunk?
- mstanley, on 01/10/2008, -0/+0So do you feel the chimp captured on this you tube clip is a role model or is lacking a role model?
