- casbar, on 08/01/2008, -15/+261I'm not going to watch this but I saw the exact same thing happen two weeks ago on a freeway here in Sacramento, California. People are truly ***** up.
- FURIOUSgeorge24, on 08/01/2008, -20/+247We could all sit here and wish bad things upon the person who did this, or we could use Digg to do something good. It would only take a thousand digg users to donate two or three bucks to have this poor cat up and running again. So let's get the word out.
- mrbeagle, on 08/02/2008, -35/+229Four days ago 48 people were killed in suicide bombings across Iraq. Nobody cared.
Today, a cute animal is wounded and Digg has suddenly lost all faith in humanity. It's enough to make you lose all faith in humanity... - roastedbagel, on 08/02/2008, -2/+178I just spoke with a Lisa at the Vet's office as of 11am EST, enough donations came in yesterday, she had her surgery as well and is going to be fine. The lady who found her on the road is officially adopting her.
- fas2, on 08/02/2008, -32/+145You gotta be kittyng me.
- waluum, on 08/01/2008, -9/+121Good to see that some people still have a heart. God bless the woman who saved this animal.
- alexanEmpire, on 08/02/2008, -9/+113I just called the animal hospital where the kitten is staying. They have raised enough money for the surgery and care costs. He's gonna be ok. And he'll grow up to can has cheezburgers.
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -36/+138That is just f*&^%ed up. Whoever did that should be thrown out of a speeding car while a 18 wheeler hits him right in the face!
- roastedbagel, on 08/02/2008, -10/+92Does it make me a bad person, that I can hear about people getting murdered on a daily basis and not care, but I see a story like this and it crushes my heart...
Oh and $50 of the $100 i got for my birthday yesterday is going to Virginia, If I were closer I'd take the kitten home with me no questions asked. - jotate, on 08/02/2008, -53/+134Don't get me wrong. This is ***** up. Beyond belief. But $3000 for a kitten? Put the poor thing down. I'm going to be dugg down for this, but it needs to be said. Animals die. Lots of animals by our own hand. $3000 could be much better spent saving hundreds of animals rather than allowing a tragedy struck kitten a second chance.
- jontalisman, on 08/01/2008, -15/+92You're a sick *****.
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -15/+87here's a better idea felix...lets make a video of someone throwing your stupid ass out of a car at 65mph....
- MakiMaki, on 08/01/2008, -6/+74That's just a ***** sick thing to do. I'm glad he's doing ok and is looked after now by people who care.
- synystar, on 08/02/2008, -2/+67Since there might be more Digg users willing to donate a buck a two to help get this kitten back on it's feet than will be needed, donations should probably be made to the Chesapeake, VA Humane society with explicit instructions to use the donation to help cover the cost of it's surgery - unless the costs have already been covered in which case the money would go to the Society.
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -4/+66$5.00 check is in the mail...
- n8o8, on 08/02/2008, -13/+73It makes me really happy that there are consistently so many people that care about animals on digg.
- porplem, on 08/02/2008, -8/+65I can email a check?
- dan0964, on 08/02/2008, -1/+52What ?
Why arent you guys arguing, this is the INTERNET! - Pilot85, on 08/02/2008, -0/+46hooray!
- cnot3, on 08/02/2008, -3/+46Yeah, there's starving kids in China that would kill for a cat like that, and here people just throw them away.
- Rotzooi, on 08/02/2008, -10/+51Excellent trolling. Short, concise, and to the point, with a whiff of obviousness (the amount of R's). Well executed. +1
- ZincSaucier, on 08/02/2008, -30/+71It can still get thrown out of 7 more cars and survive
- jotate, on 08/02/2008, -3/+43Every life being equal, those decisions are made with bias all the time. I don't hold it against you for doing so. Compassion is a biased emotion. For something that your emotional stability is likely so attached to, I don't blame you for doing it.
- BeefBaron, on 08/02/2008, -7/+45***** you, humanity.
- halfdirt, on 08/01/2008, -9/+43Life is precious!
- spiritflare1, on 08/02/2008, -12/+46the poor kitten's legs were broken..you know, something innocent comes into this world and doesn't even know what life is and experiences this level of pain - if u look @ that kitten's eyes, it has this look of shell shock. in any case, i'm sure that person will get that karma back at them - because you can already tell the character of a person who would do that, and what goes around comes around. In the meantime, i'm calling the clinic to see if they take credit cards from canadians to give a donation.
- roastedbagel, on 08/02/2008, -18/+52Beings that I sepnt $1800 without thinking twice last year on my cat that I only have had for 3 years at that point, Im not agreeing with your post.
- illegalamigo, on 08/02/2008, -14/+45gravity cat not amused
- spiritflare1, on 08/02/2008, -6/+37I just called the clinic from Toronto (Saturday at 11am) - the lady who picked up (Barb I think) said the kitty is doing well, and is recovering from surgery. She advised they have enough donations to cover the cost (i guess as result of the TV broadcast) and is now telling folks to just donate money to their local shelters, etc. Good on the folks who donated to cover that cost, and good news the kitty is doing well!
- ZolasMoviePics, on 08/02/2008, -25/+55PLEASE catch the ***** driver and throw his ass out the window of a speeding train over a cliff. I work at a animal hospital and see all kinds of sick *****. I'm totally and eye for an eye when it comes to animals!!!
- DeadFox1, on 08/02/2008, -6/+35I think it's because animals generally aren't malicious like people can be.
- roastedbagel, on 08/02/2008, -2/+31Well I appreciate that, cheers mate
- anthraxe11, on 08/02/2008, -1/+29I e-mailed my $5 already.
- HelloVelo, on 08/02/2008, -14/+42i haz a sad
- Rotzooi, on 08/02/2008, -9/+36You are way too sensitive to be allowed on the internets.
- coastiefish, on 08/02/2008, -0/+26YaY. Yeah, heh! How could she not adopt that itty bitty kitty?! Thats awesome!
- Alegoo92, on 08/02/2008, -1/+27I don't "expect" charity out of anyone, ever.
You know which world we live in, right? - daedalous, on 08/02/2008, -1/+27I want to give jotate and roastedbagel some kind of award for that.
Bravo, guys. - Crazymaniacc, on 08/02/2008, -10/+34I'd expect Fox to pay for the surgery since they got a story from it and publicity
- phenom2k7, on 08/02/2008, -2/+25£5 cheque is in the post...
from me o/ - coastiefish, on 08/02/2008, -8/+30Thats a bold and weak statement. To loose all faith in humanity because people are sickened by someone throwing a kitten out of a car window? And before this war that the lot of us didn't want to be a part of-would you say the same thing? And is it okay, that we can also be sickened by what is happening around the world in third world countries *and* this kitten as well?
It is okay to express our feelings about this kitten and not always feel tied and our feelings so obligated to all the other horrors of this world. - chkdg8, on 08/02/2008, -7/+29I saw this earlier on and I was disgusted. This is actually a very common thing to see and it's very disturbing. I live in Rancho Cucamonga and about two months ago I got on the I-10 heading west into L.A. and I quickly got on the HOV lane and less that 1 mile into my trip, I dodged a cat that was just sitting against the center divider but still with the possibility of being mangled by any car behind me. We were all traveling about 70mph and in less than a second I looked deep into this cat's eyes and I saw a true fear of death. I quickly swerved not to hit it but I knew deep down that there was no possible way that a cat would cross an 8 lane highway while dodging speeding cars just to hang out on the inner most lane. Damn the mother ***** who threw that feline out the window. I don't believe in Karma but that person will one day realize what he or she had done. I'm from Miami and according to many Santeria and Voodoo folklore down there, if you kill or harm a cat, that brings horrible consequences to your home and life. ***** that dude. I'm donating a couple bucks.

- Cenobite, on 08/02/2008, -2/+23I'm choosing to do something good AND STILL wish very bad things upon the person who did this.
Maybe it's a sign of my nature, but picturing the perpetrator with both of HIS hind legs broken makes me feel even better than donating money does. - Klowner, on 08/02/2008, -9/+29It appears as though waluum has a different belief system than you do, so why do you feel compelled to be an ass about it rather than just keeping your mouth shut?
- joegibes, on 08/02/2008, -0/+19I faxed my $5 already.
- DOPPELGANGING, on 08/02/2008, -0/+19I sent my $5 by owl.
- cardyology, on 08/02/2008, -6/+25Stuff like this just makes me feel sick. ***** evil *****, everywhere.
