Lets take mr professor of humane society guidelines back to dog school 101
lesson 1
*dogs are very territorial they will bark so you know they are there if they continue to bark once they have seen you that means they are not satisfied and want to know you better eg pat the dog and it will smell you or something. Dogs will not bite you if they bark they are just trying to communicate.
lesson 2
*If a dog growls then they are not happy with you AND THEN have the propensity to bite.
