Grizzly bear struck by vehicle near downtown Anchorage
adn.com — A 700-pound, 15-year-old grizzly bear came off a city greenbelt trail and was struck by a Land Rover vehicle early Friday morning on the Seward highway near Sullivan Arena east of downtown Anchorage. It was the latest in a series of bear incidents in the city this summer.
