- AlbinoRaven, on 05/17/2009, -2/+12Ummmm, you are talking about a state that has recipes for Possum and a road kill cook book (only other state I've seen one is Washington)
Who cares, it's meat. it's invasive and I'm curious as well. - lsloany, on 05/17/2009, -0/+10I have three alligators living in my pond in my backyard and you want me to be afraid of some big lizards? We live next to the Everglades giant lizards are kind of expected.
- lsloany, on 05/17/2009, -1/+10I think that makes it even more worth it.
- pingveno, on 05/17/2009, -0/+9Ah, but do they taste like chicken? Kill the pests, feed the hungry. Two birds with one stone.

- Stevanoski, on 05/17/2009, -1/+7Recently I saw a picture taken in Florida of a dead boa that tried to eat a monitor lizard or komodo dragon. As rigor mortis set in the foot of the lizard ripped the boa apart.
Tried to find the photo but couldn't discover the search engine words that would find it. - Wormwoods, on 05/17/2009, -0/+6steelersfan7roe and Nile Monitor Lizards, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G
- fishstock, on 05/17/2009, -0/+5Florida is plagued by all kinds of evasive species for instance we used to have these cute little green lizards http://floridagardener.com/critters/anoles.htm but they were eaten by the Cuban brown lizard I rarely see any green ones now.The same thing is now happening with our green tree frogs are being eaten by big ugly Cuban frogs
- domnu, on 05/17/2009, -1/+6It's much older than that.

- weister42, on 05/17/2009, -1/+5We had a few of these in a pet shop that I used to work for, they are very active and can chew the ***** out of your fingers if it wants to.
- TheZorch, on 05/17/2009, -0/+4Their bit contains a vicious cocktail of deadly bacteria which is often fatal if not immediately treated with lots of antibiotics.
- inactive, on 05/17/2009, -0/+4I got excited when I would catch those when I was a kid. It was like catching a rare pokemon. They can camouflage and turn brown.
- Stevanoski, on 05/17/2009, -1/+4Hugo Chavez reminds me of a big ugly Cuban frog.
- Sejes89, on 05/18/2009, -0/+3All the predatory animals reside in Florida because for them old people are easy to capture.

(Australian) - maussimo010, on 05/17/2009, -0/+3I once worked for an Italian man, and he gave me a job transporting them from the airport his private zoo...one time, i had to stop for gas after I left the airport, and one got out of the car and ran into a local mall. My friend and I had a hell of a time catching him, but we finally did...you should have seen us trying to wrangle him into the backseat of the car, trying to get his seatbelt on! hilarious!!!
- inactive, on 05/17/2009, -1/+4It's "GOJIRA!"
Sorry.. someone also had to say that. - secrity, on 05/17/2009, -0/+3Because it is an invasive specie
- insanebrain, on 05/17/2009, -1/+3how does a lizard taste ?

- Orsenfelt, on 05/17/2009, -0/+2Where's David Icke? He'll sort it.
- HawgFrog, on 05/18/2009, -0/+1I had one of these guys visit my back yard last year. It stuck around for a few weeks. During that time it devoured all the frogs in our pond. Then it solved our fruit rat problem, (orange trees attract rats every spring). Unfortunately the lizard was a couple feet long and posed a threat to our dogs, so they had to stay inside unless we accompanied them out back. The lizard disappeared after cleaning up our rodent problems and I haven't seen it since.
- inactive, on 05/18/2009, -0/+1Oh Jeeze...Yet another thing George Bush did!
- davidlaskiewicz, on 05/17/2009, -1/+2The Komodo Dragon is known for killing humanbeings and large animals. They are nothing to mess with.In a recent documentary the Show Host was charged by the Komodo. He was a tad worried! They will kill you!
- MaxIsBored, on 07/14/2009, -0/+1haha, and i bet you would.
- skeetwipes, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1I'm just outside of Tampa. About a year ago I saw a 2 1/2 ft lizard in a tree. I think it was a monitor, but, it could have very well been an iguana. I have been hearing about this and related stories for a while but until I saw it for myself I didn't think it was such a big problem. I hadn't thought they made it this far up from the Miami area.
@supermanly : I have had alligator, I'm not sure if it's similiar to how a monitor would taste.. It had the texture of chicken but had a gamier taste, and the way it was prepared left is very salty. Not bad though. - liuite, on 05/18/2009, -0/+1lots of animals in history have been hunted to extinction. so if you want a specie to vanish, put in on the dinner menu as a delicacy.
- EmperorAwesome, on 05/17/2009, -1/+2Will they eat bombs?
- brucealmighty, on 05/17/2009, -1/+2It's Nature's way of thinning the herds of retirees.....
