- DeadSkinMask, on 05/15/2009, -1/+268Good thing they could put him back together before he croaked.
- temujin2012, on 05/14/2009, -6/+169You know, there comes a point when you just have to say "***** it."
I think when nearly half a being's skin is ripped apart, that's the point. - malice8691, on 05/15/2009, -5/+117What about the grass that butcher was cutting? Who's going to save the grass!
- soupdawg30, on 05/15/2009, -11/+94Can anyone explain to me why they did this? If I had done this I would have felt bad for running over it but I would have just put it out of it's misery not had it stitched up. Maybe I am being insensitive but it is just a frog. Right?
- gvoakes, on 05/14/2009, -2/+78Frankenfrog lives again!
- zimsters, on 05/15/2009, -1/+73Amazing how a toad gets better medical treatment than you'd get in most developing countries.
- Deemun, on 05/15/2009, -2/+71Sounds like a vet that is very Kermitted to saving lives.
- Sinanm89, on 05/15/2009, -5/+66....kill...me....
- DeadSkinMask, on 05/15/2009, -0/+55They had him hopped up on painkillers for the surgery...
- maxstr, on 05/15/2009, -4/+59"You can judge a society by the way it treats its animals" - Gandhi

- directedition, on 05/15/2009, -0/+47but if you just so happen to be a very bored surgeon....
- Henzee, on 05/15/2009, -1/+47I guess you could say he had a... RIBITING experience, HAH!
Seriously though, that frog should of ***** died. - sambono5, on 05/15/2009, -1/+42An experience he'll never froget...
- NickLee808, on 05/15/2009, -3/+35I'm sure he'd rather have his rib bit by a stray dog than a lawnmower attack.
- norman619, on 05/15/2009, -0/+31I was thinking maybe some medical students were practicing on it. It makes no sense otherwise.
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -1/+32That's funny, weren't they brought to Australia to control pests?.
- Satanael, on 05/15/2009, -5/+35After the surgery he's been green with envy at the sight of other, normal-looking, frogs.
- domfosnz, on 05/14/2009, -1/+28I guess those tree frogs must be indigineous to Australia. I don't think they would have done it for a cane toad.
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -4/+29in their attempt to feel good about themselves and convince themselves they are caring people they put the frog through 10x more suffering than it would have otherwise.
if the frog could talk i'm sure it would say "**** humans!" - HunterKiller, on 05/15/2009, -2/+27Good to know that these doctors leaped to the occasion.
- fwertz, on 05/15/2009, -2/+25"Miss Piggy, he's going to pull through after all."
- brainflakes, on 05/15/2009, -0/+20Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology.
- telecastah, on 05/15/2009, -0/+19Simpsons did it.
- Cowboy1015, on 05/15/2009, -3/+22all that frog needs now is plastic surgery
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -7/+24We kill animals for fun in America.
- angusware, on 05/15/2009, -0/+16I'd have called them Chazwozzers.

- osko2052, on 05/15/2009, -2/+16What's next? Surgery to save flies?
- myempyrean, on 05/15/2009, -3/+17His vision was a little froggy after from all the pain-killers
- StiGUP, on 05/15/2009, -8/+22Maybe it's just so sad that frogs in Australia get better health care than US!
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -3/+15Frogs can't speak, you're confusing amphibians with people again aren't you.
- welestgw, on 05/15/2009, -1/+13Moved it with a Mower blade.
- punkcat, on 05/15/2009, -0/+11"The obvious one is Dettol"
yeah duh, who doesn't know frogs can't handle dettol. - celotil, on 05/15/2009, -0/+11Why not?
Actually, this gives good practice to vets who might need to work on an animal with a similar skin consistency, encourages good sterile practices of skin transplanting - or closing - and teaches anaesthetists how to fine tune their skills to cope with anything big or small, just to name a few reasons.
It's one thing to simply freeze a frog and pull it apart in science class, it's another entirely to take a sick/injured frog and give it a future. - broevol, on 05/15/2009, -2/+13I did that once with a snake and duct tape.
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -0/+10Why not....As trivial as it is, the organization can use it to get experience for when their help is really needed.
- iletumi, on 05/15/2009, -0/+10He will need a human to take care of it for how ever long it survives. If the air is not humid enough his eyes will dry up, so they effectively turned it into a needy pet for the remainder of its life.
- RealmDown, on 05/15/2009, -2/+11ripit .... ripit .... ripit....
- MaxIsBored, on 05/15/2009, -5/+14Frogger failed .

- Xaevier, on 05/15/2009, -1/+9Yeah im pretty sure when you start wasting time/medical supplies on something that is just going to get run over by a car 5 minutes later, you have officially flipped off third world countries who have 0 medical supplies.
- MokeyAUS, on 05/15/2009, -1/+9Don't digg FinalSolution down, he's dead right. They were brought here to control cane beetles, now the toads are a far worse pest.
- ZackM, on 05/16/2009, -0/+8Doctors are a tad polarized on whether or not this is a waste of time.
- ChoiceMad, on 05/15/2009, -1/+9:(
- frozenpxl, on 05/15/2009, -0/+8Not when you're Jack Shepherd.
- inactive, on 05/15/2009, -5/+13This frog's gonna have an awesome story to tell.
- ligyron, on 05/15/2009, -1/+9Where do you draw the line? What about the grass that got ripped apart?
- wigren, on 05/15/2009, -0/+7Aww.... now I want to know what was said!
