- ronpaul20008, on 12/19/2007, -17/+118THEY don't? It seems they spend money much better than we do....their people are housed, clothed, fed, with healthcare AND entertained. Our people aren't even housed. we use ALL our money to kill people.
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -27/+110And this is when someone should advise, "You don't know how to manage your money"
- bfaulk04, on 12/19/2007, -1/+82*hides robotic dinosaur embryos in shaving cream canister*

- wetfishshop, on 12/19/2007, -2/+60So long as they have a 'Triassic Red Light Zone' with a 'Lickalotapuss' in it.
- Weip, on 12/19/2007, -2/+57Homosexuality is gay.
- AJH16, on 12/19/2007, -4/+55No Bush throws around a bunch of money he doesn't have. There's a difference.
- mesysg, on 12/19/2007, -2/+52Wonder if they will have the old man carrying the cane with the mosquito inside?
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -4/+52Compared to what kind of development $1.1 billion buys in the USA, I'd say this is dirt cheap. My place of work is currently throwing up a 45 story hotel, about 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a large sports bar, a moderate amount of "core revenue" space, a 20,000 square foot concert hall, and some other minor additions for a hair under $1 billion.
- Prodigal19, on 12/19/2007, -5/+52Remember when the US used to build all the cool stuff in the world?
I guess its hard to do that now when all of our money goes towards war... - MetaMars, on 12/19/2007, -1/+47Must go faster.
- DeadBabyFloat, on 12/19/2007, -2/+43so, Muslims believe that there were dinosaurs?
- lostradamus, on 12/19/2007, -0/+36For $1.1 Billion why not just clone some Velociraptors? What's the worst that could happen?
- markthegoth, on 12/19/2007, -1/+35bad idea, Life will find a way
- noots, on 12/19/2007, -0/+34"scheduled to open in 2008" ??
it's like they just come up with the most outrageous ideas known to man, and complete them in less than a year. - johnso68, on 12/19/2007, -2/+33They obviously know what they are doing. Everything they put their money into makes them money. They are trying to make their country a tourist attraction. Come on, they have a ski slope in the desert! Now that is how you make money!
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -4/+35Not when they have a ***** ton of cash to throw around.
- Xerces, on 12/19/2007, -3/+33Dubai has and will be thriving heavily in the next years. Investors keep a look out.
- gthyb, on 12/19/2007, -0/+30This is unix! I know this!

- Speaking, on 12/19/2007, -0/+25Yeah, except for that whole slave labour thing. I mean the slave masters in the south had wonderful cotton clothing and health-care for all those that qualified as "people". http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/11/dark_s ...
- 1337Einstein, on 12/19/2007, -1/+26Robotic dinosaurs eat man
Fembots inherit the Earth. - phantom_mullet, on 12/19/2007, -1/+24You sir, should patent the technology of sound through words.
- paloooz, on 12/19/2007, -0/+23Do you know anyone who network three connection machines and debug 2 million lines of code for what I bid for this job? Because if you can I'd like to see 'em try!
- Snuff99, on 12/19/2007, -1/+23Shoot her!!! SHOOOT HEERR!!
- bahamutxd, on 12/19/2007, -1/+23Yeah, between 5-10% and their reserves are expected to run out in 2010. Dubai makes a ton of money by being a center for economic trade and by investing in foreign companies as well. So yeah, they do know how to spend their money well.
- spiritditch, on 12/19/2007, -1/+22Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
- broncosoul, on 12/19/2007, -0/+20Hold on to your butts...

- SomaPhotos, on 12/19/2007, -0/+18they'll have it ready for 2008 cause they'll have their slave labour - mostly indians and pakistanis - who they treat like ***** and pay peanuts, working 24hours a day. i've been to Dubai and the construction never stops 4am and they're still building. and you can bet your ass that none of the locals are doing any manual labour...
- Hoogs, on 12/19/2007, -0/+18Pfft...call me when they build the real thing.
- directedition, on 12/19/2007, -0/+17Indeed. What if the animatronic robots found a way to breed?
- domlachowicz, on 12/19/2007, -0/+16The Burj Dubai has 164 floors and will ultimately cost a hair over $4 billion USD. Not saying this is an apples to apples comparison, but that's about $1 billion for every 45 floors.
- jasonkolb, on 12/19/2007, -0/+15Lame. From the title I was totally hoping for some real dinosaur clones.
- Iwantawii, on 12/19/2007, -0/+14AH AH AHH. You didn't say the magic word. AH AH AHH. You didn't say the magic word.
- tattertech, on 12/19/2007, -0/+14They should all be destroyed....
