- Chompy, on 03/27/2008, -0/+13As someone who grew up on a horse farm, let me tell you that there are few things on Earth that smell nastier than horse hoof clippings. It's like.. weapons grade ass.
- jemka, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1And by "feet" you mean toe nails.
- kemuelste, on 03/27/2008, -6/+68That kind of nasty
- richmessenger, on 03/27/2008, -1/+25My roomate owns a horse and is always bringing the hoof clippings for our friend's dogs. The dogs go nuts for those things but they smell like horse *****, literally. Think of a giant toe nail that's been standing in horse ***** all day.
- FlexiChick, on 03/27/2008, -0/+2At first I thought it was gross but then remembered buying pigs feet at the pet store for my dog to chew on. So no, I dont think its that bad. Weird to watch them eat fresh rawhide though.
- biotch, on 03/27/2008, -0/+3hahah yeah man that happens when we shoe my horses if theres a dog around. They smell soooo bad but apparently its just attractive as hell for dogs.
- 1randomguyO8, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1I think dogs have a thing for anything that smells like *****.
- Civilizationist, on 03/27/2008, -0/+5This reminds me of when I used to bring my foot up to my face and bite my big toe nail off. I got it from Fred Flinstone.
- capiCrimm, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1my pinky toe tends to be the crunchiest and tastiest. Not that I've ever done that... and I've definitely never eaten the calluses off of my feet...
- beargrylls, on 03/27/2008, -0/+9I don't get it. Dogs eat/chew everything, who cares?
- karmaghost, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3Ever had Jell-O? That's what they're eating, only less processed. No, really.
- KingGorilla, on 03/27/2008, -0/+5ever had cow meat? That's cow poop that has been absorbed by grass which was eaten by the cow that is in your belly
- tEhKewleSt, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Kind of?
- Benuuu, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0Humans Eat Horses Hooves!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelatin
Gelatin is a protein produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from the bones, connective tissues, organs, hooves and some intestines of animals such as the domesticated cattle, and horses.

- neighsayer, on 03/27/2008, -15/+11Yes, the dogs really love the hoof clippings . . . . until they york them up later. Ugh! Horse fans: have you visited THE MANE POINT? It's a haven for horse lovers. http://themanepoint.blogspot.com
- Chompy, on 03/27/2008, -0/+9Hell my dog used to skip the middle man and just ate raw horse *****.

- thedzigner, on 03/27/2008, -3/+27You learn something new every day I suppose!
- microchp, on 03/27/2008, -2/+18I knew someone that had show horses and their German shepherd would go after the feet and ankles all the time. They used a remote control shock collar and the dog never went near a horse again.
- sexybobo, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3Neighbors got a new dog it jumped the fence and tried to attack our horses got one of them on the leg and we has to doctor it for about a week. The dog on the other hand quickly became a little dog patty.
- caponumen, on 03/27/2008, -3/+19The smell is weirdly appealing.....
- LongJohnSilvers, on 03/27/2008, -0/+3I'm hoping that you don't mean it is appealing to you...

- grrad, on 03/27/2008, -3/+12My dogs enjoy a delicious & nutritious balanced diet courtesy of the horses...both the hoof clippings and the manure (steaming fresh or cold). And the day one of the horses was gelded, the dogs managed to get another taste treat. Hint: It was bloody. And round.
- doctechnical, on 03/27/2008, -1/+10After WWI dog food in the US contained horse meat. Nothing wrong with that, meat's meat and a pooch has to eat.
- sublimemind, on 03/27/2008, -0/+0well plus, its bone, dogs love chewin on bone
- miggie, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1Ill! Your dog ate period blood!

- maffiou, on 03/27/2008, -0/+2My dogs eat so much of it that they end up puking everywhere... Really gross...

- CalmBlueOcean, on 03/27/2008, -2/+18Dogs often eat poo, I don't know why this is any gross-er?
- doctechnical, on 03/27/2008, -1/+11We had a dog that considered the cat's litter box a bounty of warm snacks.

- Gemfinder, on 03/27/2008, -3/+5My trainer has a Red Heeler that is *so* there when the farrier comes. The horses don't mind when she walks right under them and snaps up the hoof trimmings.

- bashnu, on 03/27/2008, -1/+6Do you eat your nails?
- grantmoore3d, on 03/27/2008, -0/+2No
- Errdoth, on 03/27/2008, -2/+3Better than them going after the horse's excrement (which they do anyway...nasty)
- punchinelli, on 03/27/2008, -3/+3The horse is too small, the jockey too big, the trainer too old, and I'm too dumb to know the difference!
- JesseRuth89, on 03/27/2008, -4/+9why is this stupid ***** on the front page? buried
- shadowmoose, on 03/27/2008, -2/+1Same reason dogs like to chew on bones? Why do they do that stuff?
- boydrew, on 03/27/2008, -2/+0dogs eat their own vomit it really isnt surprising they go after something else to gnaw on that isn't the most appealing looking
- mGARANDEUR1, on 03/27/2008, -4/+2Dogs eat ***** all of the time. I don't know why this is unusual.
- Mikhail101, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1ugh they only will if they cant get anythign else to eat, wouldnt u.
- ultralights, on 03/27/2008, -1/+4isnt dog food made of horses?
- ekravchenko, on 03/27/2008, -2/+2So what does horse feet crud tastes like?
ssssssss, tastes like chicken! - bernlin2000, on 03/27/2008, -2/+2What is it? It was kinda white colored...but it could've been a mix of anything the horse had stepped on, I guess
- djAnakin, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1Quite normal if you've ever been around horses and dogs.
It's the horses hooves... not "crud", or dirt. It's like your fingernails... sort of.
Why is this on the front page? - gordonf238, on 03/27/2008, -2/+1Well, it only seems appropriate for dogs that look like horses' feet.
- Rizmaster, on 03/27/2008, -2/+3Humans eat Chicken Menstruations!
your point?- transitive, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1not exactly the same thing. menstruation is discarded placenta, meaning it is unique to placental mammals. the placenta equivalent of any egg-laying animal is the yolk i suppose, but still, its not the same. if you want to use this kind of terminology you can just go ahead and say that we eat lots and lots of plant ovaries throughout our lives, that's what fruits are after all.
- trbmtf, on 03/27/2008, -3/+2We have two horses and when they get shoes my golden retriever goes crazy over the clippings.
- Mikhail101, on 03/27/2008, -4/+2Isnt this bad for the dogs, isnt that stuff like used to make glue and glue is like addictive and can cause damage, so they are basically eating glue? am i right?
- sonicularulus, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1well glue is mixed with other chemicals and what not. a horse's hoof is more like a nail and im sure that its not harmful in anyway.
- briangig, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1this makes dogs very sleepy...the farrier who used to come to our house had a dog, and he would basically fall out of his truck and sleep the whole time he was there.
- sonicularulus, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1i would say its more like chewing. kinda like how a dog chews on a bone.
- Barmat, on 03/27/2008, -4/+1My dog will eat his own ***** if I let him.
- Jenadae, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3This video made me feel like they were going to ask me to donate money at the end...
- birdly, on 03/27/2008, -4/+1I always wondered where Spuds McKenzie has gone.....now I know.
- waluum, on 03/27/2008, -3/+3OM NOM NOM NOM nom nom ... nom ... nom ... *sigh*
- kds405, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1Is this as disturbing to anyone else as it is to me?
- hellogoodbye, on 03/27/2008, -3/+1That's gross.
- dewyjuhl, on 03/27/2008, -0/+2Did anyone actually gain something from watching that video?
