Death by Fish
bountyfishing.com — Maybe even more frightening is the adult Snakehead, not afraid to attack humans either. Growing up to three feet long, these bastards can crawl on land and survive for up to 4 days. If they do appear in a lake near you, it ’s the rest of the lake’s marine life you should be worried about - entire lakes have been poisoned just to get rid of them.

- NightcrawlerX, on 04/28/2008, -0/+6I didn't know that fish can jump from your hands directly into your mouth and choke you to death.
- starfocus03, on 04/28/2008, -0/+4I won't be swimming in the Amazon anytime soon... that's for sure!
- Goodanswer, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1The problem is not just in the Amazon they have been found in the UK and the United States as well.

- angusm, on 04/29/2008, -0/+5Not a worm. A small fish called a candiru: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candiru
- tournesolqc, on 04/28/2008, -0/+3How scary those fishes are! I think I will only continue swimming in swimming pool. :)
- TLSC, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3Guess we're only safe once they're sitting in our plate!
- nicolask7, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3not worried about fishes, snakes are a lot scarrier !
- rsk4you, on 04/29/2008, -0/+4that was so nice.
- Berkana, on 04/29/2008, -0/+5The fastest way to get rid of them: Vietnamese chefs. They slice fillets of this fish against the grain, making slices about as thin as a tortilla, and wrap them around ground pork, chopped mushrooms, and chives, dip them in batter, and deep fry them, serving them with some awesome sauce. Then, sell them cheap as fast-food. I'm telling you, they'll be under control soon enough.
If you want death by fish, there's also fishing by flashlight in the Amazon:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XehBbGH8rnM - yellowcakewalk, on 04/29/2008, -1/+6These damn things are all over the Potomac here in Washington DC now. They are not dangerous to humans but do represent a threat to the local ecosystem, as invasive species often do. @starfocus above, swimming in the Amazon is no more dangerous than most other big rivers ( I still have a boat down there ) but there are stingrays in the shallows to watch out for and do not skinny dip because the candirú likes to swim up where the sun don't shine. :-P
- Gordito, on 04/29/2008, -0/+4I wish the crocodile hunter had been more cautious.... he was a likeable guy, but man at least it happened to him and not his little baby that he put around the Alligator that one time... that`s some wikid fish tough.

- boodaa, on 04/29/2008, -0/+2I would crap myself if I saw one of those coming at me in the water. Hate fish unless it's sushi. ;P
- LomasLou, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1Now if there was a God water would sugary, and given that fish do not usually have dental coverage, their teeth would rot & fall out.
- UltramegaOK, on 04/29/2008, -1/+4OM NOM NOM NOM
