Nothing is wrong with killing animals if you plan on using them for food. after all most people here eat fish, chicken and cow. Not to mention the love of bacon that has overtaken digg.
but what that guy did was sick and wrong and was doing it to be evil and or for sport.

- DarthVolta, on 09/03/2009, -1/+39When I lived at home with my parents, we had an orange tabby cat like the one in the article adopt us (he had been stray, we think), and he was the greatest - we fed him and he slept on the porch and loved attention. He would leave us dead mice and chipmunks as gifts all the time, as he was a completely badass hunter.
Anyway, he came back after a long absence and was very skinny, and had some type of injury on his jaw. We had to take him in and have him put under to examine it, and they found out it was a bullet that had shattered his jaw. Some ***** douche shot the cat in the mouth and didn't bother to even make sure it was at least dead - just let him walk away with a terrible injury.
Poor little guy had to get put down, as he also had feline leukemia. His name was Leonard. I took him in to the vet, and was at school the next day (full disclosure, university) when I found out, and I am not ashamed to admit that I shed more than a few tears over him. - Dietrich, on 09/03/2009, -5/+42Yeah, keep telling yourself that. My cats throughout the years have perpetrated a bird/rodent holocaust and have never actually ingested them. They just like to leave them dead on the carpet. Plenty of National Geographic footage of Orca's killing seals, sea lions, etc. without eating them too. Chimpanzees also have a habit of killing others for non-food related purposes. It goes on and on.

I didn't want to watch at first, either, but you'll see that it's actually not quite as bad as it looks from the still image. The arrow struck just above the eye, and only skimmed its skull under the skin and muscle. They show it removed, with just the wounds, and say he's expected to make a full recovery. YAY! -
