- xxl3w, on 08/01/2008, -0/+5Now whose fault is it, they don't import from China?
- funkydude101, on 08/01/2008, -1/+6I bet you do.
- PurpleFirefly, on 08/01/2008, -0/+4Smart animals..
- spepin, on 08/01/2008, -0/+4We complain about having to drive 45 minutes out of our way to go get something.
Caribou walk 3,000k in ***** weather to eat food. - digifuzz, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3You just sent me spiraling into a totally random Street Fighter II flashback.
- musicmanryan, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3Call me a sicko, but I really thought after reading the title that there would be pics of animals humping different animals.
- bigtimslim, on 08/01/2008, -1/+4Mmmmmmm Bison
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX_luglyqFw - thedogfatherx, on 08/01/2008, -1/+3Man do humans look like a bunch of pussies compared to what these animals can do.
- T00NY, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2Loved the bats.
- patrarno, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2Apple Belt buckle, yeahhhhhh. that's gangsta!
- iNNeRKaoS, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2Try driving through a herd of buffalo. Not fun, but you get used to it.
- aklu, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2sicko
- asnider, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2Agreed...bison is tasty.
- deathfix, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2***** lawl
- whoitis, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1no hummingbirds...?
- wallyhartshorn, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Great pics, but also very interesting captions.
- bosssmiley, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1"Animals! ***** Yeah!" :-
- ldw4686, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Am I the only one who was saddened by this slide show? After reading the text by each photograph you learn that these animals had to result to unusual migration patterns b/c of various human made elements. Some of the animals are even on the brink of extinction but it was funny that nobody mentioned that. They are great pics but that is all we might have left to show for these beautiful creatures.
- feihung08, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Dugg for the 'natural' Batman poster. Amazing!
- nbyn, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1I blame it all on affluent Mongolians!
- coastyvet, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1what about the damn Canadian Geese that never seem to migrate anywhere. They are around all year, I hate those things. News Flash Geese, you have wings--FLY!!!!!! why do they insist on waddling across every major road causing traffic to come to a standstill.
- IphtashuFitz, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1I visited a salmon hatchery when I was up in Alaska a few years ago. It was absolutely amazing to learn about them. They'll release millions of tiny salmon when they're only an inch or so long. Those that survive after swimming hundreds or thousands of miles over the next few years will eventually find their way back to the hatchery based solely on a sense of smell. It absolutely amazes me that they're able to do that.
- kelmaster1, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1lol, i thought that was a mock ad, the backdrop and the cheese factor is great. Bison is great, they're becoming more popular but they eat so much damn food it's hard to keep them on a ranch.
- Halsfield, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1Im ***** tired of these ***** bison in my goddamn ***** road !!
(insert butterflies + sky instead of bison and road for more hilarity)
(sorry) - dazman, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Sick *****.
- thedogfatherx, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1I think you get my point but i'll clarify.
*Little tiny butterflies flying/traveling thousands of miles each year back and forth and surviving.
*humpback whales traveling 20,000+ miles a year
*blind bats traveling vast distances and knowing where in the hell they are going is amazing - bridow, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1$40-50 dollars a pound? i'll just eat some buffalo.
- abajaj2280, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1Order now and you'll get a free Bison digg.
*dugg* - h0ly, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Boom de yada
- digdugdog, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1It's always amazed me that Monarchs fly that far. It would be one thing if they were capable of flying in a straight line...
- bosssmiley, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Pussies? We have sufficient endurance that we can *walk* prey animals to death if we want to.
Walk up to gazelle/deer/sheep, it hops or runs away a short distance. Walk up to it again. It runs off again. Repeat until the exhaustion and nervous tension of trying to avoid you does the animal in. Kill the knackered animal. Take steaming gazelle meat back to family. Breed many fine young and expand across the world.
We might not be as flashy as some of the top predators, but we're a tough (and almost infinitely adaptable) bunch of neurotic bald monkeys. - shibashake, on 08/01/2008, -0/+0I agree with you. And sadly now we want to drill drill drill in the few preserves that are left.
- diggystardust, on 08/01/2008, -1/+1mexican bat photo looks like a bunch of dark knight logos
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -0/+0it pisses me off when someone says "all the animals are dying because of human activity and climate change" - well you know what? screw all these stupid friggin animals. if they were supposed to survive they would have evolved as fast as us and hocked ***** out of the earth to create an economy and cars and flying machines like we have. the human being is the most amazing and advanced thing on this planet and possibly the universe and dont ever forget it. if other species die out because of us its their own fault.
- gordonrp, on 08/01/2008, -1/+1buried for having to click through on the flash object. plant html would of been better
- penguinxp, on 08/01/2008, -1/+0i dont think you get the point actually.
*humans creating a spaceship that flys them to a different ***** planet (well, the moon isnt technically a planet, but meh. not the point)
now what about a butterfly? i dont recall any of those being spotted on the moon.
humans have done far more amazing things than these animals will ever do. you can feel like a pussy all you want, i for one dont.
ps: i drive 20,000+ miles in a year(in a car humans invented might i add, what have whales invented?), often to places where i have no idea where im going, and usually when i go somewhere. i do indeed come back. so uhh, yea, still not seeing your point. - penguinxp, on 08/01/2008, -1/+0what they can do? like turn into a tastey steak on my dinner table?
you do realize that most of us "pussy humans" are at the top of the food chain, where as several of those species are nearly extinct right? how impressive on their part.
"what these animals can do" indeed. ill be truly amazed when a herd of bison takes a picture of me and my friends migrating to a football game, then post it somewhere for every other bison in the world to see. - xsecretfiles, on 08/01/2008, -6/+2I can't open the link, but is Britney spears or Paris Hilton l listed there?
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -7/+2buried because it's a god damned slideshow. If there was ever a need for a war, it's the WAR AGAINST SLIDESHOWS.
- cryman159, on 08/01/2008, -6/+0cool
