- StickWST, on 09/06/2009, -0/+32There's an albino squirrel living near my house. One morning I woke up super drunk and looked out my window. It was staring back at my, with what appeared to be bloodstained fur around it's mouth. Of course I later remembered that the bush it was standing on was a berry bush, haha. But those beady ass eyes freaked me out man.
- Tomboys, on 09/05/2009, -1/+24I think most squirrels are cute.... this one actually looks like a rat with a bush tale.
- MarkBrent, on 09/05/2009, -5/+25A white among a brown world. Good to see a change once in a while :P
- wondertwins, on 09/06/2009, -0/+14I would have ***** bricks if I saw that.
- ftc08, on 09/06/2009, -0/+12I once lived at an apartment who had two albino squirrels living in the courtyard. Named them Johnny and Edgar.
Couldn't really tell them apart. - Gwyddyon, on 09/06/2009, -1/+10I've got four in my neighborhood, plus one albino with a black tail. HOW is this news, again?
- Atario, on 09/06/2009, -1/+10A lot of us have Bush tales, after the last several years. Seems like more come out every day...
- dinosauronfire, on 09/06/2009, -0/+8Hah. THIS is news...*****...

- jmeads50, on 09/06/2009, -1/+9BETTER STORY-- almost 2 years ago, on Ohio State's campus our famous albino squirrel was nabbed by a hawk. picture delivered (on facebook) http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=432259&o ...
several pictures follow. Apparently another albino squirrel has been spotted on south campus on OSU's campus since Whitey's passing. Is albinism genetic? If so, Whitey was a pimp... R.I.P. - roomforsquares, on 09/06/2009, -0/+7Purple squirrel is better: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howabou ...
- kylescousin, on 09/05/2009, -0/+6Nah, it's still cute alright :)
The red eyes are somewhat creepy though. - littlewing82, on 09/06/2009, -0/+5Randomly, in Brevard, NC there is a whole population of a white version of the Eastern Grey Squirrel.
Freak, white squirrels... but without creepy red eyes. - johnsmith3210, on 09/06/2009, -0/+5Cool story bro.
- nyxerebos, on 09/06/2009, -0/+4"Celebrity"? It's a ***** squirrel.

Ha! - jks52086, on 09/06/2009, -0/+3Those things were all over my college campus. Always fun to show visitors. I wonder why there were so many concentrated in that area, though.
- Rkstar, on 09/06/2009, -0/+3There's an albino squirrel that has sort of become legendary around the RPI campus in Troy, NY. Called Alby. http://www.libbydance.com/squirrel/pictures.html
- windmarble, on 09/06/2009, -1/+4Zim: What did you learn?
Gir: I saw a squirrel. It was doing like this: Chi Chi Chi Chi. - levitron, on 09/06/2009, -1/+4Here in my part of Ontario, we've got natural (non-albino) white squirrels. They actually don't get along well with their brown and black cousins.
- palehorse864, on 09/06/2009, -0/+3That's just a squirrel that tried to rob a bank.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 09/06/2009, -0/+3There are colonies of them many places it seems

- palehorse864, on 09/06/2009, -0/+2Ebony and Ivory, live together in perfect harmony!
I hope you ate a black and white cookie by those trees. - DaviDTC, on 09/06/2009, -1/+3Why does the story say it has 3 diggs on the link, but here it says it has 69 diggs? Oh, you found a different link to submit. When I change the ref= to something random, the dupe detector comes up with both stories.
Please enforce your dupe filter Digg or just get rid of it and the option to bury as dupe. - inactive, on 09/06/2009, -0/+2I guess living around them for thirty years it has become a "no big deal", but we see them all the time around here.

oh so rare - sofacushionfort, on 09/06/2009, -0/+1There's an albino squirrel on the University of Texas at Austin campus, and there's a huge superstition that if you see the squirrel on a test day then you'll make an A. I, on the other hand, have found that the opposite is true so I avoid that part of campus. Also, it comes around quite often and the squirrels there are somewhat domesticated so you could feed him if you'd like.
- UK31337, on 09/06/2009, -0/+1There's an albino squirrel that I see in my back garden every few days. This is hardly news.
- matrixbandit, on 09/07/2009, -0/+1There is/was an albino squirrel living in my neighborhood awhile back. I chased him around with my camera one day.. If you're curious, follow the link and just keep hitting the next button.
http://picasaweb.google.com/matrixbandit/Pets#5365 ... - Shaymojack, on 09/06/2009, -0/+1...It's not albino if it's tail is black, is it? It's just a white squirrel.
- Twicec, on 09/07/2009, -0/+1lol i guess in Africa an albino squirrel is kinda of rare lol lol

- pvbklyn7, on 09/06/2009, -0/+1Funny thing there are two unusual squirrels in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY USA. One is white as snow and the other is coal black. I almost snapped the white one but couldn't get my camera phone ready quick enough. Pity. . .
- McHoffa, on 09/07/2009, -0/+1they're slowly expanding their territory outside of brevard now... all over surrounding towns...
- ftc08, on 09/08/2009, -0/+1You obviously don't know jack ***** about good music.
- inactive, on 09/07/2009, -0/+1A few days ago at my college i saw a squirrel smooshed flat on the pavement. Surprised me, i always thought squirrels were too fast. (It was in a low speed zone)

- jkash23686, on 09/06/2009, -0/+1i bet hes delicious.
- Pasha90, on 09/06/2009, -0/+1I live in Princeton, and I see all black squirrels all the time. Even though this articles says they're rare.
- parkskier, on 09/07/2009, -0/+1I was hoping someone would bring this up. I remember when that happened. But I've seen one since...I thought the hawk thing was awesome.
- electrikyle, on 09/06/2009, -0/+1"An albino squirrel named Frosti has become a celebrity after being spotted in an inner city park."
Is this implying that his name has always been Frosti? Do all squirrels have names? -
