- Kronich, on 10/27/2008, -2/+10I have always wondered how acupuncture really works. I've heard that it releases pain killers naturally produced inside the body - but I prefer the more traditional chinese theory about unblocking energy pathways.. Perhaps the two theories will merge at some time in the future.
Regardless - if it works - don't worry too much about why. - DirectTulip, on 10/27/2008, -0/+5I could have massage ;) ... perhaps chiropractice .... but needles. Uah, no needles, please! :P ... And animals and needles? Noooo...
- qi4all, on 10/27/2008, -1/+3As an Acupuncture Physician, I can attest that it works on animals (who don't know about "the placebo effect") and humans, as well. The needles are about the same diameter as a human hair and do not hurt. If you have pain, you really should give it a try.
- RevAradia, on 10/28/2008, -0/+1I'm with you. I go with the "unblock energy pathways" I do some crystal healing and believe it or not THAT works...not for ALL things but for some...and very likely for psychosomatic illnesses it works very well. And regardless of WHATyou hear psychosomatic illnesses are REAL. So Sayeth the Crone.,
