- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -5/+76I tried to find the company by typing "*****" into Google...
and uhhhh, moving on. - nyrol2, on 10/12/2007, -18/+70How is this politically incorrect? They are fat because they ate sugar. That actually happens. Fat people who gained their weight from food cannot complain about their weight. It's their own fault that they are fat, and should probably eat this ***** o' the Walk fruit cocktail. I wish that more fat people were this jolly instead of being depressed about their weight.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+47Honestly, I was just kind of "okay... fat girls dancing" until they showed the can...then I died laughing.
The 50s and 60s were much more innocent than nowdays. - jonathantneal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+42Was there no innuendo to ***** back then? At the moment you see "*****" on the screen the singer is at the phrase "Big Fat". Old school parody?
- sjm20k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+40you'd be hard pressed to stamp ***** on anything edible these days.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+41"Plump used to be pretty sexy."
Plump can still be sexy nowdays... but not *that* plump. - ZippidyDoo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+35Bunch of ***** lovers.
- Nougat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+32Edible ... pressed ... stamp ... ***** ...
... trying so hard to come up with joke using those words. - golhra, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31At least I have chicken.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -2/+32Man, that guy is eating so much ***** that anybody would get sick......no matter the sugar content
- empeethree, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28those ladies remind me of benny hill when he dressed up like a female on his show.
- Antha, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Somehow I think that company was doomed for failure.
- hartley, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23imo this commercial is neither politically incorrect or surreal.
i was expecting to see a woman chained to the kitchen, or a black man working in a field.
its sad we live in a day where the term 'chubby' is deemed politically incorrect. i was raised when you said someone was chubby to be nice, instead of calling them a fatass. - Nougat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22Mmmmm, nothing like the taste of metallic fruit in syrup!
- techweenie1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15hmm low cal eh? Something tells me those two girls have been cheating...
- jmkiii, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18That video was not so much offensive as it was dumb and boring.
- beaurich, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16Who really cares. They are fat so what is wrong with calling them fat. Bury me if you like but I am personally sick of everyone being offended because something wasn't "politically correct."
We all need tougher skin. I suck at dancing an yet I am not offended when people make fun of others who can't dance. Shocking isn't it. - BIGGY350z, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Those don't look so bad. Dad used to make me eat Jims Pole Smoked Ham when I was a kid.
- briangig, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/632/cock20soup002740117zo0.jpg

- vap0r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Oh yeah? How about this?
http://www.buygracefoods.com/site/product.cfm?id=cock_soup_env
mmmmm....***** soup..../homer - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9@Eturner - wtf are you talking about man, I've NEVER heard anyone say anything remotely offensive about smokers, but yesterday I was told to "look at that fat ***** over there".
I have no idea what ground you're standing on because that is far from the norm. - loquax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Weren't those gals the November 1963 Chunk N' Jugs centerfolds?
- griz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7You can't go around saying "smoked" and "pole" in the same sentence and not expect someone to comment.
- dvddesign, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8It's "politically incorrect" because today, you don't show a fat person selling diet food. Skinny people in need of losing that "last 5 lbs" are usually much more appealing pitchmen. You especially don't show fat people dancing around to announce your product, shimmying like retards. If this were a modern commercial pitching anything else, say Budweiser, Ford Trucks, Macy's, or a John Waters movie, would you consider using said service? Wait, scratch that last one.
We've made it politically incorrect because our nation is ashamed of our fat people and we hide them instead of accepting them, and helping them. We're a nation of enablers, not much else. We rarely want to actually commit to solving the obesity problem past throwing out simple foods or exercise patterns that aren't invigorating or inspiring.
Hey, Nyrol, it's not always people's fault they're fat. Yeah a majority, but I've got a tumor in my head that keeps me from losing weight properly. What's your reason for denial? Poor dietary habits established by parents are hard to break. My only saving grace is that my parents were concerned about my diet as a child and I managed to break my own bad habits pretty easily that I picked up during college.
Everyone critical of fat people needs to read up on nutrition and health before touting easy one-liners like "watching what you eat" and "exercise" There's a whole complex biology behind why fat people ended up the way they are. Again, some are just poor eaters and lazy, but there's a lot of people out there that struggle with this daily, and food, psychologically, becomes the easiest thing to escape to when times are tough. - equitium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8*****?
- Days, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Gay, Fags, *****, among many other words that carry a heavy innuendo today, meant wholly different things back then. Womens weight also was not nearly as critical back then as it is now. Plump used to be pretty sexy.
- wirah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6LOOLOL those fat chicks.
Therye so jolly!
Wrong topic though. It should be in 'Comedy Videos' - lukas88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I think you are missing the point, using the word "*****" wouldn't be politically incorrect because it carried a different meaning back then. But making fun of fat people by calling them "roly poly" is politically incorrect.
I still thought it was awesome :) - techweenie1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6according to Kinsey's scale 10-15% of the population loves *****
- irregardless, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7there's actually quite a lot of sugars in fruit. yeah, it's heathier than a candy bar, but not really a quick ticket to weight-loss.
- _loopy_, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Just so everybody knows what they are talking about and not show how juvenile you are.
***** of the Walk is the name given the a Mississippi river boatman.
From http://www.cockofthewalk.biz/about_us.htm (great place to eat by the way.)
"In the early 1800’s, much of the nation’s commerce took place as a result of riverboats transporting goods such as cotton and tobacco. Before steamboats came along, all commercial riverboats were either keelboats (pointed on both ends so they could be pulled back upstream) or flatboats (flat on both ends, they were dismantled after a one way trip). Folklore has it that the brawny, bawdy bunch of men that manned these boats would fight to see who got to man the rudder (the easiest job). Whoever came out on top was called the “***** of the Walk”, the ruler of the roost, and the best of the best!" - persaltier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4if anything the commercial is supporting exercise as part of a healthy diet...the two chicks don't stop movin' the whole time.
- Mykey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I don't get what so non-pc about this.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Much like 'bitch' and 'pussy'.
- ClassicJBC, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Some things are politically incorrect because of a direct statement about a minority group. For example, if they outright said "Fat people should eat this. It has less sugar," then that's overt. However, some things are politically incorrect because of the covert associations they make. For example, Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben's are two brands built on an association of black people as cooks and/or servants. Are they saying ALL black people are just cooks? Of course not, but it's taking a minority or otherwise stigmatized group and associating it with a lower social status.
I can see why this raises questions for some people, because it's not like they're really saying anything directly. But that's what political correctness is all about--protecting minorities or stigmatized groups from unfair stereotypes. - tsf5000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3So fat girls should eat ***** to lose weight?
- Bullsnot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I remember once hearing this urban rumor that Rod Stewart ate too much of this stuff and had to go to the hospital and have his stomach pumped. Too much sugar in all that fruit salad isn't good for you :)
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks like a creepy smut film.
The in your face bite of the peaches, the two fat psychotic twins, and the name ***** Walk... - kirkness, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it was the 50's tho.. you have to remember that racism was almost completly OK back then. and the term politically incorrect didnt exist.
- adamal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3***** of the Walk is the best name EVER!
- Koosebane, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2To a modern generation who has largely turned over its chicken population to chicken farms, I suppose the term for male chicken would eventually lose its true meaning.
- foomojive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"Everyone critical of fat people needs to read up on nutrition and health before touting easy one-liners like "watching what you eat" and "exercise" There's a whole complex biology behind why fat people ended up the way they are. How much exercise do you get in a week? I rest my case. - Antha, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3That's true. Sadly, there is *still* a restaurant in Cherry Grove Beach, SC called Tarbabies.
- JeffD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2***** of the Walk doesnt refer to your mississippi boatmen, they just used the term. Its just a phrase that means what you said those boatmen used it for. Its basically like saying "you're the man." Nothing racist about it.
- Jelfish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@ techweenie1
hmm. I thought the hetero women population would contribute more than that ;)
@ callusemul8tor
do you get turned on when you look at your sister? - fjvwing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Tracy Turnbladt had a twin sister?!???
- jellygraph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2***** of the walk???
(which looked like ***** Walk to me at first) - Thuktun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yep, all fruit is good for you, especially the kinds that are canned in heavy syrup. Mmmm, heavy syrup...
