- DigitalHippie73, on 04/11/2009, -7/+684This is the best thing I have heard all week. I honestly think violence against anyone working for TMZ should be legal.
- davmuss, on 04/11/2009, -2/+303I had a hunch TMZ was staffed by monsters without brains.
I think we should thank Woody for bringing this to the light of day. - haemonculasx, on 04/11/2009, -2/+295Seems like a proper excuse for self defense. . . You can never be too careful.
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -29/+239We should start a fund on Digg where we could pay these ***** photographers to follow people like O' Reilly, Limbaugh, Coulter, Beck and so on. With how paranoid they are to begin with they wouldn't last a week under this type of scrutiny.
- bthree78, on 04/11/2009, -1/+193common mistake
- D1Foley, on 04/11/2009, -2/+190Well I don't blame him, you should always be prepared for zombies.
- ThirdPoliceman, on 04/11/2009, -1/+187"You just Killed the Zombie TMZ photographer!!"
"He was a Zombie?" - popzero, on 04/11/2009, -1/+143I do not recall Woody Harrelson ever lying to me before. *reaches for shotgun*
- GrooTheWanderer, on 04/11/2009, -2/+112"I correctly identified him as an irritating photographer" should be a valid defense too.
- bodger, on 04/11/2009, -2/+93To be fair, the photographer should just be grateful that Woody was coming back from shooting a zombie film rather than a porno film...
- Elbryan233, on 04/11/2009, -1/+84That seems legit. I can't fault him, you can never be too careful when there could be zombies about.
- BillDoE, on 04/11/2009, -0/+82So then the dirtbag photographer keeps on chasing and nagging him, trying to get beat up. This ***** was just fishing for a lawsuit.
- EklektikMC, on 04/11/2009, -0/+77I know who I want on my Left 4 Dead team now...
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -2/+75Dead Air
- kerouac906, on 04/11/2009, -0/+68Forgot to mention, is it not a fact that the Z in TMZ stands for Zombie? Case closed...
- oriondr, on 04/11/2009, -0/+49Are you kidding? The paparazzi probably PRAY for celebs to attack them. Then they get to file suit.
- Grazzit, on 04/11/2009, -1/+47I don't understand how this kind of thing doesn't happen more often, zombies are all over the place
- bincoder, on 04/11/2009, -24/+66Good for Woody.
If some ***** were chasing me around with a camera he would be lucky to just get it smashed into the pavement. More like a 357 round to the skull.
The photographers, or whatever you want to call them, should be treated with no less mercy than a guy chasing a child around with a camera peeking up under her dress. One thing is the same as the other.
In fact, Woody should be on the receiving end of any lawsuit limited to not only the photographer, but also whatever corporate entity he works for or sells to.
A zombie? That sounds rather smart actually. Better than 'I knew it was a photographer, so I attacked him'... legally speaking.
Self defense works against robbers, terrorists, psycho axe murderers and zombies, not against a known photographer or salesman.
Bravo! - Akram, on 04/11/2009, -0/+40Easy mistake to make. Heck, happens to me on a daily basis as I get a coffee from the local cafe. Everyone in the line looks like a zombie.
- Renian, on 04/11/2009, -2/+40Exactly what I was thinking. He's been playing that campaign waaaay too much.
Also, pills here. - HAL90000, on 04/11/2009, -0/+38Crazy town? It's called zombie preparedness 101. You can never be too careful.
- EvilDweeb, on 04/11/2009, -3/+35Let me get this straight....the zombie was operating a camera AND has a lawyer.....WTF????
- krazikamikaze, on 04/11/2009, -9/+39"who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie"
Best, excuse, ever. I'm going to start using that for all sorts of situations.
I'm sorry officer, I quite understandably mistook you for a zombie when you were chasing me for speeding.
No honey, I didn't mean to say you're ugly, but you weren't wearing makeup and I quite understandably mistook you for a zombie.
I plead not guilty to the charges of going on a murderous rampage with a sawed off shotgun. I quite understandably mistook everyone for zombies. - satori3000, on 04/11/2009, -1/+31I couldn't agree more, Billy Bob made his own misery, and didn't on the CBC. This happens with some TMZ douche and I'm thinking Woody gets a ticker tape parade.
- satori3000, on 04/11/2009, -1/+30I'm seriously thinking that he won't.
- anonymousmedic, on 04/11/2009, -0/+29I think the Undead want to be called the Differently-living now.
- linagee, on 04/11/2009, -1/+27It would only cost $0 if you baited a photographer to O'Reilly, and friends. Just give them some interesting story and the photographers will stick to them like ants to honey.
- HAL90000, on 04/11/2009, -2/+27"More like a [sic] 357 round to the skull"
Definitely. Head shots are dead shots. Aim for the head, get 'em dead. I like my zombies like I like my women - dead. If it ain't red, it ain't dead. Don't kick 'em in the rear, shoot 'em in the ear.
No but really, zombies are dangerous. Shoot them. - phillips1080, on 04/11/2009, -7/+31Damn, 2.5 mil. law suit. That'd better be a really nice camera. And previosly owned by a renowned photographer. The sad thing is, he'll probably get a good portion of it.
- patchbag, on 04/11/2009, -1/+23I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you...
Judge! Woody hit me! - tsotha, on 04/11/2009, -0/+19It doesn't cost any extra to put a really big number on the paperwork.
- arytsola, on 04/11/2009, -0/+18I feel sorry for Woody.
These money-asking (2 M) paparazzis should be stopped somehow.
I bet the lowlife wasn't even interested in the pictures but to get to sue Woody. - kerouac906, on 04/11/2009, -2/+20I wonder if the onus is now on the photographer to prove he is NOT a zombie. This could turn out to be a fascinating case!
Oh, and I'm totally going to see Zombieland when it comes out. - funkyloki, on 04/11/2009, -0/+18I hate airports.
- bobbystarbuck, on 04/11/2009, -1/+18We really need to regulate these photographers, it's unjust. Watch the video:

I don't think Woody did anything wrong, he was walking home and the photographer was harassing him, plain and simple.
I hope this guy doesn't get a dime in his stupid suit, this TMZ photographer is just milking it and everybody knows it. Let's call ***** on him. - inactive, on 04/11/2009, -0/+17Dude, zombies are a real danger and you need to be prepared. Shotguns and axes are preferred weapons.
- crilen007, on 04/11/2009, -0/+17Paparazzi shouldn't be able to sue for being in the face of a dad with his daughter. If it was a normal person, me for example, and I was walking around with my daughter and someone started taking pictures I'd smash his camera too.
I feel sorry for famous people having to deal with this ***** all day. They work long hours then have to deal with crap like this. If I was an actor, I'd have people taking pictures of paparazzi that hastle me for a few months and see how they like their life being invaded. - Torley, on 04/11/2009, -0/+16Let's look at the similarities between paparazzi and zombies:
* They're both considered scum of the earth.
* They often travel in packs. - Astillian, on 04/11/2009, -0/+16I had no choice but to digg that sweet sweet quote.
- leif777, on 04/11/2009, -6/+21He's so cool.
- jpmonkeycat, on 04/11/2009, -0/+14yeah, those guys at TMZ need MMMORE BRAINS!!!
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -2/+16But you're keeping it to yourself, yeah?
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -4/+18Funny, I remember an article on digg's homepage just a few days ago talking about how photography is a first amendment right and how the police are facists for trying to stop it. But then comes this story and all of a sudden the paparazzi are evil people and need their rights taken away.
Look, I hate the paparazzi just as much as anyone, but the solution isn't to start changing people's rights... It needs to start at the source of the problem - tabloid magazines and the ridiculous amounts of money they pay for pictures of celebrities. But then again, that would mean America getting rid of its stupid obsession with celebs, which isn't too likely. - dinnerplatejack, on 04/11/2009, -13/+27He'll be celebrating.
http://www.zombiejesusday.org - pmonay, on 04/11/2009, -6/+20probably the best thing ever, ever ever ever
i believe woody, i believe! - waluigi14, on 04/11/2009, -0/+14Looks like that photographer's flight just got delayed...PERMANENTLY
- HerrWolf, on 04/11/2009, -0/+13Holy *****. That's the most annoying zombie I've ever seen.
- da_bradler, on 04/11/2009, -0/+12I miss golden era Simpsons cartoons :(
- billricardi, on 04/11/2009, -0/+12If he had followed my advice, he would have taken a boat. You can't trust airports to be zombie free. I'll send a copy of this to his agent right now:
http://knol.google.com/k/bill-ricardi/the-perfect- ...
Zombies with cameras are the worst kind by the way. Within an hour of the attack, they'll have pictures of your face being eaten on CNN! - inactive, on 04/11/2009, -4/+15What do you have against Beck's music?
