  • hogar983, on 06/19/2008, -1/+205This story is a couple of months old, the poor woman had mental issues and was allegedly involved with religious cults (read: everyone avoided her, including her family) so the neighbours just assumed she'd gone away. They called the police on several occasions (first time in 1970.) but the police refused to enter the apartment for reasons unknown and "somebody" left a notice on the door that said forced entry is prohibited, which is kind of bizarre. The windows were all open so the smell escaped through there.

    One is the difference in time. CNN says 1973 and Gizmodo says 1966.

    The second difference is a missing report. CNN: "Police said Friday that no one ever reported Golik missing" Gizmodo: "What's absurd is that she was in fact reported missing, but somehow no one ever checked her apartment,"

    There are other differences too. Which source is correct?
