- mbelly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Inaccurate.. it was static electricity from getting back in the car.
- TubaTechno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1she used her cell phone to take a picture....no where does it say that using her cell phone caused the fire.
watching the video clearly shows that she got out of her car without discharging the static from herself...inaccurate... - horrortaxi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Umm, no. Woman PROVES what Mythbusters found. The Mythbusters found that a static electricity charge from sliding in and out of the car is what causes the explosion--it has nothing to do with the phone. This woman wasn't even using a phone! What the linked article says is that the woman got in and out of her car and built up a static charge. Boom. Exactly what Mythbusters found.
- BillDoE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Static. Watch as she rubs her sweater, jeans, and sliding in and out of the car, generating a static charge. - Lame story.
- dgtlmoon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It is sure interesting seeing it arc out from the end of the nozzle tho!
- dgtlmoon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yeh but she used the phone at some time, you could say it was the car that caused it using that logic, it all adds up. Personally i think it was a combo of her car and her fuzzy jumper
