- IllBeBack, on 12/08/2007, -2/+54Oh please let the writer's strike be over soon.
- usrlocalbin, on 12/08/2007, -15/+48Black people?
- 5alarm, on 12/08/2007, -1/+27Reality game shows are getting more and more extreme. I wonder how long until somebody produces the fictional game show from the movie Time Bandits, "Your Money or Your Life".
- andrewcsayer, on 12/08/2007, -1/+24Who wants to blow up their TV?
- EvanVolm, on 12/08/2007, -1/+23I'm still waiting for "Who Wants to be a Survivor". You get a question wrong, you're shot.
- inactive, on 12/08/2007, -1/+20Laugh all you want, just wait till the pilot for my television show, "Who wants to marry a serial rapist?" airs.
It's about 20 women competing for the affections of who they believe is a multi billion dollar internet executive. In reality, however... - RockStories, on 12/08/2007, -1/+15I've never seen Time Bandits, but I've often wondered the same thing about Running Man.
- inactive, on 12/08/2007, -1/+14You can get paid as much as $15k to marry an alien for citizenship, although I think the average is closer to $10k. A Russian guy offered to hook me up with a 19 year-old once. Actual quote: "you can ***** her and everything."
- RedHerringHack, on 12/08/2007, -0/+8Do yourself a favor and see time bandits.
- XxATAROTHxX, on 12/08/2007, -1/+9Do you have said Russian guy's e-mail? I could use the $10k...
- inactive, on 12/08/2007, -0/+7Anyone with any real assets probably doesn't need the $10k.
- orxor, on 12/08/2007, -0/+7They should just bring back the show "Survivor" but set it in a place like Iraq. Challenges could be things like: Go to town and get a ham sandwich. Person to actually survive the longest wins.
- danconia, on 12/08/2007, -0/+6I'm going to assume that original post by 01I0 was sarcastic.
I hear the "they're taking our jobs" argument a lot but to be honest when they do that they help decrease inflation and in general just keep the prices of goods lower so the wages of those who ARE employed have more purchasing power. The only jobs they take really are low-paying ones that would have otherwise gone to unskilled laborers, and I'm not sure that people who are 30 years old and unskilled have much to blame on anyone else but themselves (granted there are exceptions). Also low-paid American workers just screw themselves over by creating minimum wage laws which just cause companies to go for the undocumented (illegal) workers. And you can't really blame them much because if one company doesn't hire illegals for cheap but its competitor does then the former will have more of a tendency to get pushed out of the industry. Companies are really only doing what they can do survive.
The only REAL problem with illegal immigration is that they (not all) get entitlements that are funded by taxpayers. This is unfair regardless of what country the illegal immigrants are from.
And yes Lou Dobbs is a complete hack. Tilting your head like you're concerned all the time doesn't make you a heroic person. He keeps on trying to take credit for the increase in Independents in the political culture of America but in truth he's just a confused wannabe. - Klowner, on 12/08/2007, -0/+5Forget the $10k, I'd take her for free
- legoalert33, on 12/08/2007, -3/+8Get the taser...
- xXMetalJesusXx, on 12/08/2007, -1/+5"Wake up liberals sheeple and stop watching bias media"
...lolz
"the illegals are wild with lust for yuor women"
...Double lolz - fearlessfx, on 12/08/2007, -2/+6so did you take the offer?
- inactive, on 12/08/2007, -1/+5You must be a real ***** if an illegal immigrant took your job. You're an even bigger loser if one took your woman.
- mikedmoon, on 12/08/2007, -1/+5Do you have said Russian guy's e-mail? I could use the sex with a girl 10 years younger then me...
- KungFuJesus, on 12/08/2007, -3/+6... way to be a xenophobic *****
- Snowspot, on 12/08/2007, -9/+12Illegal immigrant is the new slave. They work cheap, you can punish them at any time, hold their job/life/family over their head... basically make em do whatever you want. Meanwhile, they are villified, when most are just poor people that had no other choice than to leave.
If you find it so hard to understand. Imagine you grow up in mexico in a shack, you live there for years trying to make end's meet in Mexico.. but you cant, you watch as your neighbors and relatives hop the border and try to start a new life. The choice is clear... and any logical person would risk being sent back than spend their life in squalor.
People need to stop being a bunch of selfish pricks. They're here illegally becasue they come from a poor nation, it's either America or living a ***** life. Are they just supposed to stay their and obey when they can try and be happy?
Instead they are being turned into slaves. The slave-owners give them enough money to eat and that is it. At any time, at the discretion of the slave-owner, the slave can sent be back home, so that slave better do what he's told. He's an illegal, he has no rights, he can be used, then sent back home. - blackjack75, on 12/08/2007, -0/+3So basically you were offered 10$k to ***** 19 old russian girl and your refused. You'll laugh about it in 20 years when you'll have to pay 10$k in order to invite the same girl to the restaurant.
- inactive, on 12/08/2007, -0/+3@Snowspot
Partially true -- however -- if you a dirt ***** poor it might be a good idea TO NOT HAVE KIDS, WHICH ENSURES THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE POOR
--- just my 2 cents - ordig, on 12/08/2007, -3/+6How about "Who wants to see a doctor?" that wouldn't be illegal would it?
- druakara, on 12/08/2007, -0/+3I agree with helping them, but ONLY if they are willing to help themselves, and change the way THEY choose to live, and behave.
I sit here and watch illegals live off of welfare using stolen social security numbers, have 4 families in a house built for 1, refuse to learn to speak the language (English, and the one thing GW has done right is enact a national language) (or refuse to speak it for those that have learned it), locally the majority of crimes that are committed are by illegal immigrants (not to mention absolute rudeness in the stores, or while driving, or any other situation) When an illegal immigrant gets in a head on collision, who pays? (certainly not an insurance company, as many illegals don't bother with insurance, since their driving illegally anyway) The newest cars and newest houses are being driven (in my area anyway) by illegals (although their trashed almost as soon as they get them) I step outside with my fiance and a ***** beaner leans out the window of his car and says "punta", this also happens with my mother, my sister, and my 8 year old niece. Its strange that OTHER immigrants do not behave this way, OTHER countries (including iraq, iran, south africa, and brazil) can get a visa without a problem, they don't sneak into the country, then treat the LEGAL citizens like *****.
If beaners (not just Mexicans) have such a ***** country, why the ***** are they raising the mexican flag? If you WANT to be an American, behave like one! IF beaners want a better life, IMPROVE YOUR GOVERNMENT, revolutions have been done by every group of people, I'm certain that if the beaners lay off the taquilla, and stop enjoying so many siestas they might be able to do something for themselves instead of being parasites.
Oh, and raise that goddamned mexican flag above the US flag again and I'm putting a godamned bullet between your eyes. - PanicAK, on 12/08/2007, -2/+5Then come over legally?
- aussieNickuss, on 12/08/2007, -2/+5Go back to your hole...neocon.
- cmw72, on 12/08/2007, -1/+42 contestants 1 cup?
- ECas123, on 12/08/2007, -2/+4Let me guess....Fox?
- MacEnvy, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2Whatever you say, Lou Dobbs.
- topace3000, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2Was it really any better before?
- danconia, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2LOL wasn't it Russian Roulette? I personally think people should be able to risk their life to make money if they want (though from a moral standpoint I think it's horrendous) but I'm not sure the game has enough complication to keep it from being repetitive. Like in "Who wants to be a millionaire" they don't keep asking the same questions (yes it also must prevent people having already heard the answers).
Throw a little twists and turns into the game and who knows maybe you'll see it a hundred years from now on Tuesday Nights on NBC. I doubt it though... - ecidnac, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2There's nothing inherently illegal about this. If the potential immigrant (this article does NOT state that these would be people who were already in the country illegally) and US citizen fell in love and got married, it would be perfectly legitimate. Good luck convincing the immigration officer at the interview that the relationship is for real, though. Replying when asked that you met on a TV show called “Who Wants to Marry a U.S. Citizen?” might be just a bit suspect...
- Harboggles, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2It wont work. I interned at a Senate Office this summer and did immigration casework. You need to prove that a marriage is genuine with a series of interviews. Even if they win, they won't get in.
- jxfallout, on 12/08/2007, -2/+4THIS ISN'T RUINING THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE, HOMOSEXUALS ARE WHAT IS RUINING IT!!!!
/sarcasm - kurejibitch, on 12/08/2007, -0/+2Has anybody ever caught a reality tv show on called "The Iron Mask"?
Basically 100 people in the audience, one hostess, all circled around someone wearing an iron mask and sitting in a chair in the center. The person wearing the mask is some sort of criminal/has some sort of secret (dog fighting, etc) and the woman interrogates him as the audience boos, hisses and yells at him, screaming how much they hate him and jeering to get the person to take the mask off and "reveal themselves".
I've only caught it once, and I might just be overreacting, but I literally couldn't even bear to watch it. The entire thing might as well have been a mob lynching 200 years ago -- it just felt THAT sick and horrifying to watch. Yeah, I love animals and the guy was a dog fighter, but he was shaking and crying and -- I have little sympathy for criminals, but it was just eerie. Plain eerie, and very dehumanizing. - stoanhart, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Hmm... an actual survivor game might even be legal. After all, if two adults consentingly perform a dangerous competitive act, knowing fully in advance that there is a risk of death, that does not break any law. That's freedom. I can do any number of risky things I like and there is nothing anyone can to stop me.
I wonder how long it will be until the first eXXXtreme Reality Show comes on? - stoanhart, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Who wants to stop paying for Cable?
- Killbot2015, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1thanks for the input... i dont think that's what this article is about.
- xfirei, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1I'd rather have a million illegal Mexicans than one legal Albanian.
- nudedos, on 12/08/2007, -1/+2I better get all dolled up, I'm gonna get married.
- elvisB, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Another reason to shoot that goddamned ***** box that molds your perception of the world more then anything else in your life. I watch this show every day at my apartment complex, observing the illegal aliens harassing every girl that walks by in the parking lot, where they hang out, tinkering with their lowriders. When will we get up and change the channel, America?
- elvisB, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Not me, you could contract leprocy or something. We need to bring our troops home, put on some rubber gloves, and remove the third worlders before middle America looks like Mexico City!
- bigt8dogg, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:02OqDGVuPUEJ:b ...
- inactive, on 12/08/2007, -1/+2Who wants to invade mexico and take it over like illegal immigrants are taking over the us.
- IllBeBack, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Yes, it was better.
- litebox, on 12/08/2007, -1/+2Well, i am, as you say a "Beaner", and except for the abuse of the racial slurs and generalizations, i certainly have to agree with you. I am a Mexican, and i live in Mexico.
You say Mexico is a ***** country, i have a different concept for ***** country, but i would agree that has a lot of people living in poverty conditions, and some people living in extreme poverty conditions (No running water, No hospitals, No education). We are flooded with corruption in almost every level, it is so present and so ancient and it has become like systematic and people is used to it and somehow overlaps existing laws to make things work.
For me it is not that hard, i have no need to move out of here, and believe me, some people think Mexico is getting empty because everyone is moving out, but you are wrong. Of course there is a huge amount of people leaving but the number represents hardly a 2% of the population every year. We have middle class which is bigger than the lower class, the problem is the disparity between the upper and lower class, we have people who are extremely rich and some that are extremely poor, and that is not good.
Mexicans fight every day, and work our asses of to get things, social programs are not efficient, health insurance is almost non existant, law enforcement in someplaces is dominated by organizaed crime, so it is hard to grow up, but we try everyday to subsist, some people try harder to even get food to their tables. Minimum wage is $10 dlls a DAY.
So you say we should fight to change things?, oh the people have been fighting everyday, only to be abused by the interest of politicians and the rich, using the people for their own causes and then forgetting them. The fight still goes on, believe me.
I agree with you because you are defending your country, you have every right to demand security and sovereignty over your nation, as a citizen you are proud of your national identity and you feel offended when someone else shows theirs and doesnt recognize the one who is giving them shelter.
You are completely right, so, why not express your ideas in an appropiate way in order to be listened? What can you accomplish in calling me and all of us Beaners?.
I mean i am not so well informed, so i cannot dissprove right now that Mexicans living illegaly in the US are just people taking naps and drinking Tequila all day and picking wellfare checks to live. I would be very pissed if that happened to my country. But is it necessary to offend and denigrate to prove your point? - Klowner, on 12/08/2007, -1/+2Author needs to do some homework on the show, the grand prize doesn't involve marriage, just giving the couple a pile of cash so if they *do* decide to get married then everything is paid for.. It's just a multi-national matchmaking show
- jxfallout, on 12/08/2007, -1/+2So what happens if all the contestants get deported during the filming of the show?
DRAMA!!! - Klowner, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Contestant #5: And then Donny made us all drinks! Yeah, they're really good.. I'm getting tired all of a sudden.. *snoring*
