- akredraven, on 12/20/2008, -0/+0I am an EMT-B and a paramedic in training and this article is full of holes...for 1. 129 "ambulance attendants" that can be anyone from first responders to cops. 2. "129" in the US over 18 months there are over 900,000 in employ in EMS thet comes out to less than a hundredth of a percent overall. I am not condoning what those 129 "attendants" have done but we are not perverts or sexual predators. It is articles like these that tarnish the name of civil service and public health workers throughout the world.
We dont walk up to patients and say "oh. your head hurts? Let me start by checking your crotch for lacerations." We are trained to give the most decency possible to all patients if the situation allows it. - inactive, on 12/12/2008, -0/+0There are sick mofo's everywhere but this article is spot on.
