One thing I always ask a girl is "would you ever date a cripple" and I think that almost applies here. It's always good to know where they stand so you will know who you can count on if you are ever seriously injured. Might sound kind of stupid but it says a lot. It's really an interesting question, some people get really offended when you ask them and inevitably the question that most men and women alike will ask is "how crippled."

      According to the caption they were engaged before he left for Iraq, so I'd have to say that can't be the case.

    So yes, the picture does pretty much capture "true love" (READ: Marriage) as defined by most Americans: Hasty, without foresight, absent of critical thought, done for all the wrong reasons, blindly romanticized, and destined to fail.

I'm sure they loved each other before the unfortunate incident, and I give them all the respect in the world. But trying to spin this story into something as superficial as "love is blind" is really shallow. I'm burying the post in respect for the marine, and for his wife.
