- Azerael, on 10/03/2008, -3/+352He wasn't insane; he was a genius. He convinced millions of idiots to give him more money then he ever could have dreamed of if he had stayed a sci-fi author.
Makes me want to start my own religion, too. Jobs are for people with no creativity. - aznpwnzor, on 10/03/2008, -1/+322Dugg for understatement, "Ron Hubbard Insane"
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -8/+282HAIL XENU!
- Asheis, on 10/03/2008, -1/+172Wow, if this is real this kinda throws an even bigger wrench in scientology's credibility.
When your religion is based on science fiction, and your leader/creator is a paranoid schizophrenic, you know you're in for some trouble. - allothersnsused, on 10/03/2008, -1/+162I think in the midst of all these political campaigns and the differences between us all, we've forgotten what Diggers really hate: Scientology.
- chrissku, on 10/03/2008, -2/+114Someone needs to ask Katie Holmes if these symptoms sound familiar?
- whiteonyx981, on 10/03/2008, -2/+113We will all remember where we were the day we learned the shocking news L. Ron Hubbard was insane.
- ThiefAnders, on 10/03/2008, -4/+108Oh wow, that does explain a lot, doesn't it?
- BXRWXR, on 10/03/2008, -5/+96He was 40, she was 25? He was crazy all right, crazy for that young stuff.
- fr3ddie, on 10/03/2008, -13/+101In other news, water is wet.
- jmpeagle, on 10/03/2008, -0/+83actually this would validate their beliefs in their eyes...they believe they are under attack by a conspiracy of psychiatrists and they just so happened to want to lock away their founder forever....which is porbably why his movements os so against psychiatry because he probably spewed hatred for them his entire life.
- spidur1, on 10/03/2008, -5/+77And Clay Aiken is gay...
- deadmoo, on 10/03/2008, -0/+67It definitely explains Scientology's crusade against psychology.
- crackedlogic, on 10/03/2008, -1/+65not only her, DOCTORS said he was "hopelessly insane".
- ScottMcIntyre, on 10/03/2008, -1/+46Proves the truth! The date is April 23- do we know which year?

Then let's go egg some Co$ offices and send some black faxes - inactive, on 10/03/2008, -1/+42... you're surprised?
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -0/+37It's not like they had any credibility in the first place.
"Hold these cans, I'm going to measure your mind" - jetboyterp, on 10/03/2008, -4/+39And Tom Cruise and John Travolta won't come out of the closet...
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -1/+33Should be 1951.
- lefthandpisces, on 10/03/2008, -3/+33it's sad to see the once former fresh prince of bel air subscribe to this crazy man's theories.
- eliotmat, on 10/03/2008, -5/+35Never take Will Smith's name in vain!
- stonebone4, on 10/03/2008, -1/+31It gets way better than that...
http://www.xenu.net/archive/books/bfm/bfmconte.htm
According to this unauthorized (obviously) biography he was also involved in black magic, stealing his friends' wives, sailboat fraud, crappy science fiction writing for cheap pulp magazines, roaming around China making fun of Chinese people, and making the Explorers Club believe the government hired him to do some exploration in Bermuda or something so they'd make him a member. Also he was apparently a pretty good glider pilot. - StrangeFamous, on 10/03/2008, -1/+29Give us back our Beck, you asshats!
- pittpat, on 10/03/2008, -2/+28You do not spread these false rumors about my lord L. Ron Hubbard! Xenu will come and slip into your ear and release trillions of thetans and you will beg for his mercy!.....
Nah, he's crazy - cloudberries, on 10/03/2008, -0/+25"It appears.. Wait, let me double check these readings, yes... yes I'm afraid, you have...
BRAIN GHOSTS!
It appears the ghosts have attached themselves to all your money too. Give it to us so we can clean it for you" - brstilson, on 10/03/2008, -17/+41Well it wouldn't be the first time a whole religion sprung up from the words of a paranoid schizophrenic. Ever read Revelation?
- JeddHampton, on 10/03/2008, -0/+23So I pulled out my gun!
- staffa, on 10/03/2008, -1/+23While both Mormons and Scientologiests have some pretty insane ideas about how the world works, the reason we don't hate on Mormons is because most Mormons are pretty decent, hard working people that you can totally get along with(the weird fundamentalist Mormons not included of course).
And if you disagree or try to leave the Mormon church they won't try to make your life a living hell by slandering the hell out of you, making all your friends/family never speak to you and ruining you financially. - Acglaphotis, on 10/03/2008, -1/+22Well, if that wasn't ownage then I don't know what it is.
- cheeze_ballz, on 10/03/2008, -0/+20not only symptoms...situation (ie. younger girl, older guy)...let's hope she gets out just like this chick did!
- zacbro, on 10/03/2008, -5/+23Thank you for this insightful post. You see, I was trapped in a cave these last 6 months in addition to being mentally retarded. I saw this picture and said to myself "Self! I wish someone would explain what this means in a bizarrely obvious and kind of creepy way that would update me on this situation from the perspective of someone who's obviously incapable of forming their own opinion and believes every aspect of everything they read on the internet" and then before I could think of anything else sarcastic to say, BAM! I saw your post. I'm truly grateful and thank you. Could you now please express to me the general consensus people have of John McCain's Vice Presidential Running-Mate?
- cardyology, on 10/03/2008, -9/+27***** XENU. ***** TOM CRUISE. ***** WILL SMITH. (even if he was the fresh prince...)
- jeremyduffy, on 10/03/2008, -1/+19And all this time I thought he was just a vile con-man.
- cloudberries, on 10/03/2008, -0/+17@daniel
More commonly known as "Photoshop's sharpen tool"
Hang on guys, I'm just off to determine JFK's shooter using Dodge and Emboss... - cloudberries, on 10/03/2008, -0/+17"scientology's credibility"
Now there's an oxymoron if ever I did hear one. - Animental, on 10/03/2008, -1/+16WOLL SMOTH.
- analogkid01, on 10/03/2008, -0/+15Consider how old the clipping must be in the first place, though.
- bedlamite23, on 10/03/2008, -1/+15I think "Jobs are for people with no creativity." is my favorite sentence of all time.

- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -0/+13Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I liked to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I came to believe DC-8's dropped ancient aliens into Earth volcanoes and created alien ghosts that haunt our bodies.. - analogkid01, on 10/03/2008, -0/+13Well, to be fair, even John admitted he dreamed all of it.
- Monkiest, on 10/03/2008, -1/+14No.
- Ebue1, on 10/03/2008, -3/+16WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?
- daniel, on 10/03/2008, -3/+15Good point, but then he should have used the good old CSI Zoom & Enhance x 100 function to make the image crystal clear.
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -1/+13Sometimes geniuses are also insane...
- JDoorjam, on 10/03/2008, -1/+12Agreed, Staffa -- in fact, fundamentalists of all types are pretty hard to deal with. On the issue of leaving the Mormon church, it's prettymuch the opposite with Mormons than it is for Scientologists: Mormons excommunicate members who have violated the tenets of the church. Regardless of whether you believe in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it's a pretty strong sign of the value its members place on membership that being thrown out is their ultimate punishment. Definitely not that way with Scientology.
