Watch Full Charlie Rose Interview with Conan O'Brien on Google Video watch!
video.google.com — "Lots of good clips from both his show and the 2002 Emmy Awards, and O'Brien has a lot of interesting things to say about his 13 years at NBC, the money that FOX offered him a few years ago, what will happen when he takes over The Tonight Show in 2009, and his conversation with Johnny Carson three months before he died." - KnightMareInc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2was only able to catch the last half when it originally aired, thanks.
- tanveer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Its funny. I just watched the entire interview last night on google video, found it to be really interesting - to watch Conan for an hour to just sit and talk about stuff on a serious manner - he definitely had interesting things to say...overall a quite satisfying and informative interview. I'd thought of submitting on digg...but supernova actually did it, and it got enuf diggs to be on the front page...so that's good!
- Yashar, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2From 1:57 to 2:03 Conan looks like he's thinking, "I can totally make fun of this guy in my monologue."
- benliong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Saved for later (after work). Dugg. I heard that Conan is really a very smart man.
A little off topic, I love how this video is free because of HP's sponsorship, and I definitely would not mind seeing their ads. But I'm missing the "download to PSP / iPod" option.- Yashar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10True, he went to Harvard.
- tanveer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3His father teaches at Harvard too, BTW.
- iPirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Not only did he attend Harvard, he graduated magna cum laude.
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -2/+2Yeah, Conan is actually a lot smarter than the common viewer thinks him and he remains pretty unbaised regarding world news and political events though I'm sure he's a liberal/and/or democrat depending on your definition. He makes fun of everyone, but you can't really get him to give his opinion on air which I think would show his intelligence more than anything.
He brought a new kind of comedy to late night that I think Dave Letterman does as well but Conan takes it to the extreme the same way that Craig Ferguson also does too though Craig has even more charisma than Conan.
He'll make a great Tonight Show host I'm sure and regarding the interview: thanks for posting it, and I'm only up to about 13 minutes, but I'd like to mention as an aspiring filmmaker and screenwriter how great it is to hear that he's intimidated by some of today's direction and screenwriting like LOST (which at first was a huge shock to me in its quality though now I think we've all adapted to it and we expect more).

that opening was hilarious.
- bluto20, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I always thought he was funnier than Jay Leno. I just hope they keep the "Headlines" skit on the Tonight Show when he takes over.
- Falc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6i love conebone69...
- montiff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2any way to download this file? it is lame that they got rid of the option...

But on a serious note.. good interview! - bloodwings, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2conan is awesome.
- dumpling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Conan is incredible. I think the reason he's so successful is that he taps into every person's nerdiness. Whether it's a hardcore D&D fan, or an ***** jock, everybody sees a little bit of the animated Conan in them.
Anyways, really great find! An hour of information on a real icon. - IncognitoCraven, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Karma whore. Many PBS shows are available on google video
