- KillerLettuce, on 10/10/2007, -13/+212I would say this is one of the few times when Police brutality is a welcome act.
- stealth45, on 10/10/2007, -5/+150Looked like that dog got a good piece of his arm in that garage.
- TravisG5, on 10/10/2007, -59/+187Uhh, the officer had no right to pull that vehicle over. I think the suspect should be set free. Oh, the dog committed police brutality. He should be sent to jail along with all of the officers for unlawful detainment, assault, and kidnapping. Also, the officer who got shot should go to jail for assault.
-Typical Digg User - Hend, on 10/10/2007, -25/+131I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one annoyed at all the cop bashing on digg.
- YZBot, on 10/10/2007, -5/+97At least they let the dog chew on him for a bit.
- DewKnight, on 10/10/2007, -5/+89As much as I hate police brutality, it's awesome when a K-9 tears into an obviously guilty person like that. He learned his lesson after dealing with that dog
- shirosamurai, on 10/10/2007, -9/+77As over the top as that would be even for a digg user, I too am always amazed at the vehement hatred for the police around here. Yes, there are a number of officers who overstep their limits and go on a power trip. But most police officers just do their job -- the way they're supposed to. There isn't a police-related article on digg that doesn't have some smartass commenting about how the article or video is "a sign of the impending police state".
- fishskeeter, on 10/10/2007, -6/+63I love it "quit resisting" as the dog takes bites of flesh and 40 cops are dragging him down...
but that SOB deserved every bit of it... - DreadBlog, on 10/10/2007, -3/+52You see how powerful that dog was, even after catching the criminal he wanted more, nearly pulled the handler over. Another good job done by the dog and his handler.
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -3/+51The suspect was found, armed with video evidence of him shooting a cop. At this point deadly force is authorized and had the suspect even looked like he was going to turn the gun on the police, again, he'd be dead.
- JoEBlack982, on 10/10/2007, -8/+55god bless that dog and his trainer.
- TabControl, on 10/10/2007, -12/+57Many officers die each year responding to domestic disturbances, stolen vehicle reports, rape, etc. Yet no one hears about all of the ones who died. But 1 officer f*cks up and turns out to be a peice of sh*t and all of a sudden all the officers are crucified.
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -2/+41you're right, Attempt of murder on a cop. I think that qualifies deadly force. What amazes me is that people thing they shoot to disable. If a cop fires his weapon, hes shooting to kill.
- Lane, on 10/10/2007, -1/+38What a dumb ass, throw the shirt down but hide the gun in the room with you.
- musicfreak21, on 10/10/2007, -2/+38you mess with one cop you deal with ALL of them
- 46reasons, on 10/10/2007, -4/+35You have no idea how refreshing it is to hear that...
You never see articles about police saving a life on digg... you only see the ones of the few bad ones doing something stupid. - Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -2/+30Police dogs are for tracking, but they are trained to fight. They use them to follow attack and detain criminals, not Jews. The dog are not even trying to hurt them, they're trying to hold them. I've been attacked by dogs before, they go for your throat.
- onewingedangel9, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20...HE SHOT A POLICE OFFICER!
- inactive, on 10/28/2007, -2/+18Only police work is never "routine", they should be paid more
- xike, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15That's not brutality. A dog jumping a guy is way less dangerous than having a shootout. They pull the dog off once they have control.
- brundlefly76, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Wow something actually happened on Cops.
I used to love the show(like, when it started in the 80s), but there are only so many times you can watch a Broward County Sheriff rummage for crack rocks under the filthy seat of a stolen pickup truck - I mean, seriously, that ***** gets old. - Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Well, I was an assistant dog trainer.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+18This video gives a little insight into why cops can be such dicks. Taking a casual approach to police work can prove fatal.
- btattersall, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12From what you can hear, it sounded like the car matched a description put out by the dispatch... Also that would fit with the shooter coming out with guns blazing, because he knows he'll be arrested.
Brutality? If he's shown he is totally willing to kill one cop, I would expect the rest to make sure he had ZERO opportunity to do any more damage. - emt41, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12no he is right, if a cop shoots its to kill, they never shoot to injure or disable, its called justified use of deadly force
- imyayo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12It's quite clear that dog was NOT done with the guy!
- missamanda271, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Where do you live that police dogs are constantly attacking the wrong person? I've never heard of that happening before. I'm not saying that it hasn't happened before, just that I've never heard of it. I have heard plenty of times of the police dog attacking the right person, though.
- adraft, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16THANK YOU Gir53457, I believe you and I just may be the only two digg users who actually want to be officers. I don't know why you're getting dugg down, though I probably will too. Just two things I'd like to say: 1, I'm getting a four year degree from UMD beforehand and where I come from officers have to have at least a two year degree so I'm tired of people saying cops are ineducated and 2, ***** YOU DteK
- sammy_cda, on 10/10/2007, -4/+14Should have let the dog chew on him a little longer.
- tehpunkprodigy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13They should have left the dog on him for a bit longer
- seanc6610, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11All cops on patrol wear kevlar. if you mean a full body suit, than yeah i agree
- Sliver85, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11I hope you rot in hell.
- mogn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10"I have to side with the cops on this one" ?
There's nothing to side with anyone about. This is a video of a police officer getting shot and the shooter subsequently being apprehended. - 3amboo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11dog pwned him
- emanpa68, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14your kidding right?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10you really think he learned his lesson?
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -6/+15When I become a cop, I hope I get into the K-9 unit. I will nickname my partner, Munchy.
- MikeonTV, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10YEAH
- djvchris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Sure. A cop pulls up for a traffic stop and - hey did you see that article on those CRAZY-looking crabs? Oh...sorry...where was I?
- floridiot2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8No, read it again. He says normal attacking dogs go for your throat. Trained dogs are trained to hold by the arm.
- emt41, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7german shepard from the looks of it
- tehbishop, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7thought I heard on the radio something about a carjacking. Maybe that was why?
- 80hd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8No kidding. I would have loved to see them let that dog chew on that guy for a while. But that's a slippery slope so the right thing happened. Damn I wanted to see that guy get messed up
- zombiedepot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I'd like to read more stories about good police officers.
- nakani, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Hey, more power to you guys. When you're in the force just remember to treat us other civilians constitutionally, and you're OK by me :)
- Pinhedd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8not necessary, I'd rather watch him squirm during the trial. Shooting a cop can bring the death penalty in some states, even if they live.
- proliance, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6He was found to be asking dumb questions on Digg.
- Arramol, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6The throat would be where they would target by nature since it makes for a quick kill and meal.
- TravisG5, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11I don't really feel that all Digg users have a hatred for police officers... but I do feel that it has become somewhat of a bandwagon thing here. Yes, there are problems with police officers, but on digg they are really bashed about.
- vidar808, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yes he was in a vehicle that had been recently carjacked. Listen to the radio as he is coming up to the car.
