- sexybobo, on 10/10/2007, -13/+110so the body guard guarded the mayor? He might have been a little rough but i would assume most bodyguards would have done that especially since she was making a dash to the mayor. How does this guy no she is a reporter and not some woman with a microphone who wants to kill the mayor?
- Frozo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+70Oh please, that was a pretty gentle reflection. He did the right thing, as it was his job. News reporters arent entitled to EVERY spot interview they want. With this mentality, she has the right to walk into the White House and not expect to be taken away by the secret service. She was the "pushy" one.
- redrock34, on 10/10/2007, -0/+68"WHY ARE YOU PUSHING ME?!" As she shoves her body toward the bodyguard.
- StatiK69, on 10/10/2007, -2/+52No need for chivalry on digg, there aren't any girls.
- nooreazy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+51The lady started to run first :|
- zgress, on 10/10/2007, -1/+46I have no sympathy for this woman
- bl34ch827, on 10/10/2007, -4/+44She had it coming.
- unclesaddam, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28You can see the bodyguard just trying to hold back laughter.
I think he was just angry that she can run faster. - TheAkolyte, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25You have a point. To me, it looked like he was going to escort the news crew to the mayor, and then the reporter tries to make a made dash, and he stops her.
Also, that stupid ***** face he makes is priceless. It just screams "What's going on? Wheres the gym?" - widebhoy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24Move bitch! Get out the way.
- Aidanjalali, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17What a bitch. The guy with the camera stood up for her too, "You can't do that!"....what?! Of course he can, he's a f***ing bodyguard, it's his job to stop loons running at important people to stab them.
- ch4os1337, on 10/10/2007, -7/+24Titles a little screwy and you don't need to put "Video:" if its in the video section, but still kinda funny.
- origclubsoda, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16he deflected a person running after a public official. If she hadnt been running, she would not have hit the container.
- dylanwalker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Pushy reporters are just as bad as pushy cops. As far as I'm concerned, she was working on a smut story... there's no righteousness in news thats ill-disguised entertainment for the lowest common denominator; that kind of deflection goes with the territory. Look how reporters treat 'civilians' that they want out of their way (using their own security). There's very little difference.
- Mudger, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12FLOP!
- TygerrTygerr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Sleazy journalist gets thumped trying to be sleazy. Can't imagine too many Get Well cards for that! It's riduculous that they think they can even complain about that. You were out of line, you got called on it. Get over yourself!
I like the way it says "FEMALE reporter" as well. Mild attempt at sensationalism? Sexism? Pretty weak either way. - DocHoliday22, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14It's useful for those that use RSS feeds....
- NoTiG, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10well technically that wasn't a shove... he redirected her momentum . The reporter seemed annoying.. but then again.. should public officials be able to dodge public scrutiny? Still... we could use better questions for our elected public officials then harassing them about which girls they are dating. At least he is not a gay pedophile like some others we have found out *cough*
- GirthAgain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8She wasn't in the process of destroying property. Don't do that and you won't get screwed with.
- bean, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Two people race towards a doorway wide enough for one. They're in a dead heat when they get there going top speed. One of them is going to hit the wall. Does that make it the other one's fault?
- PixelVision, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8agreed, I'm surprised the bodyguard only laughed a little.
- GMorgan, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Depends what you are asked quite frankly.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7No matter who pays you you have a 5th amendment right to say nothing at all.
- SuperCUBE, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9Then maybe you should have submitted it yourself.
- faithfreedom, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7I want to hire that man. He did a good job to protect his boss. And he's not police officer.
- acarr, on 10/10/2007, -6/+10that was funny! This is also what's wrong with Digg. Why is everyone so critical about what people title their stories? Who the ***** cares....just click on the link and enjoy.
- sebastianbr, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9I believe that is what's commonly referred to as ownage.
- skihigh2002, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yeah I agree with all the above posts. The stupid bitch had it coming. I'll be the first to jump on the "police are *****" train but this seems somewhat warranted. It reminds me of when the paparazzi are literally harassing a celebrity and the celebrity finally has had enough and destroys the camera. Then the cameraman goes crazy and acts like its the end of the world. A) I know this person is a celebrity and subject to scrutiny in the public eye but B) he/she does not deserve to be harassed in this manner.
I also don't appreciate how the media pushes its own moral viewpoint. So Villaraigosa had relations with a news anchor. At least he's not purjuoring (sp??) himself in front of Congress or proctoring an illegal war. - inotocracy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Um, so why does she think she should be allowed to run past a body guard? Is it because shes a reporter or because of the vagina-factor?
- faithfreedom, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5She need more Love
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4owned.
- Stochio, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Agreed, Frozo, and it looks like 40+ other people agree as well. If you can get heavily dugg for a statement like that on heavily anti-authoritarian Digg, then that should tell the remaining hippie holdouts something: the guy is doing his job and doing it well. He did the gentlest possible deflection of that woman to keep himself between the crowd and the person he was protecting.
- Xool, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"Thats wrong!" The press really don't get it do they? Should of pushed her harder.
- excesssaibot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3With any sort of muscles in her legs she could've stopped herself smacking her face into a container
- swoopdog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3If you are a celebrity and I have to hear all about your life all of the time from the mainstream media and I am assaulted with your images day in day out and you dont actually do any kind of honest work and you are famous just for being famous (a certain hotel chain heiress comes to mind) than you should have to put up with reporters. I dont feel bad for them, they can get away from it. There are tons of celebrities you DONT see being followed around all of the time. Sorry though I am not going to shed tears because they have no privacy in their multi-million dollar homes. HOW HORRIBLE!
- swoopdog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3it reminded me of like when you watch little kids running to get something and you always get the kid thats a little brawnier and shoves the smaller kid to the side so they could get there first and sticks his tongue out and taunts the kid in a sing song voice.
- vvaduva, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I hate reporters....this was mild..she had it coming.
- saggygrandma, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5yeah EXACTLY.
friggin digg nazis - fcra, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Yeah, I hate reporters, too.
- KenMo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I wonder how this would be treated on Digg if the Mayor was a Republican?
"Mayor's henchmen manhandle the voice of the people" - Frozo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Hey, I'm still a hippie! Just a fair one who isn't stubborn in the face of reality.
- Magnum50Cal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3This was in LA you dumb *****, and it was a body guard not a Police Officer.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I keep watching it over and over just to get a laugh.......What made it more hilarious is her throwing body up against the guy screaming WHY ARE YOU PUSHING ME!!!?!?
- Frosty122, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2we tend to judge on a case by case basis.......
- reaver, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2woulda been funnier if she nailed the shipping container and fell back on her ass.
- latova, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Uh, you mean the *video* rss feed?
- mablco, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I am so glad I no longer live in the LA area. Hearing about Villaraigosa's ***** all day from KTLA would drive me to push women too.
- givemereplay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1She had no right to chase after the guy. If the mayor doesn't want to talk, smear him, but don't try to assault him to get your little shocking story on the air.
- cliffzdude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1He just wanted to escort the crew, calmly over to his client. No big deal, access was being granted. Then the, ahem, reporter decided to try to outrun the body guard so she could flank the Mayor and get some nice juicy footage of his reaction as she ran up on him. ***** her, she got what was coming her way. You try to OUT-SPRINT the Mayor's body guard and he's going to do his job, which is to control the situation.
- fellesab, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2That bitch got OWNED!
