- coolaids, on 11/12/2009, -3/+51DAMM NATURE, YOU SCARY!
- thetortoise, on 11/12/2009, -3/+48One more time for all the fools: Wild animals are not pets. Monkeys are not babies.
- DaDrake, on 11/12/2009, -5/+49While it's amazing doctors were able to save her life... I really wonder if it is always ethical to do so. I can't imagine what type of life you could have with no hands, no eyes, and a complete dependency on others.
- horakhti, on 11/12/2009, -0/+43Wow... Worse than I was expecting, and I was expecting it to be really bad... So sad.
- kartman2001, on 11/12/2009, -0/+41Why the ***** was her friend even allowed to own a chimp? Nobody should even be allowed to own something like that.
- RonADiSH, on 11/12/2009, -0/+40"911 call said they found pieces of Nash's fingers strewn on the floor and her hands looked as though they had been through a meat grinder.
"The monkey had ripped off her entire upper jaw, had ripped off her nose, which as hanging by a thread,"
damn..... - Commonwealth, on 11/12/2009, -0/+35Wow, it ripped off her UPPER jaw. That's really brutal.
- dshigure, on 11/12/2009, -0/+34About 5 times as strong as an adult male human. Those SOBs are strong!
- tootim, on 11/12/2009, -2/+30Monkeys. Not as fun as they seem.
- nihil, on 11/12/2009, -0/+27This poor woman.
- eadnams, on 11/12/2009, -0/+26Going back to her tabloid roots.
- inactive, on 11/12/2009, -6/+32uh oh, I shouldn't let my chimp watch this
- unclebrownie14, on 11/12/2009, -2/+25she kinda looks like ziggy now... http://ww1.prweb.com/prfiles/2004/11/08/176572/Zig ...
(come on you know its true) - boo3710, on 11/12/2009, -2/+25omfg
- hauntedchippy, on 11/12/2009, -1/+20It would not be ethical to make that choice for her.
- kartman2001, on 11/12/2009, -0/+19Well every cycle seems to come with a new diet book that earns bank.
- rolf, on 11/12/2009, -4/+22c0mputar,
It might be the selfish feel good solution, but I don't consider it the ethical one. The ethical solution must always take the person's quality of life into consideration. - madpainter, on 11/12/2009, -2/+20Well, when you think you have it bad in life, or you have a job that sucks or a boss you can't stand, or you are feeling miserable about your whole life, take a look at these pictures and realize the the hell this woman must be living in, and there is practically zero probablilty it will ever get much better. Makes most of our problems we complain about every day seem pretty petty compared to this, especially since we can still function and control most of the negative things in our lives if we choose. This woman must have tremendous inner strength to continue on after this happened. I honestly don't know if I could do that.
- daleok, on 11/12/2009, -2/+20What is the point of seeing her face? Oprah must be getting desperate.
- tootim, on 11/12/2009, -1/+18Strong enough to rip your testicles off as effortless as opening a bag of chips. And they do go for the testes.
Good thing her genitals are internal. Its slightly harder for an aggressive chimp to grasp ovaries, but I'm sure they could if they knew where to reach. - tootim, on 11/12/2009, -1/+18That's retart strength yer talkin bout son!
- spearce, on 11/12/2009, -1/+18just pass me a gun if that ever happens to me. kthx
- Phooka1976, on 11/12/2009, -0/+16"About 5 times as strong as an adult male human."
Holy ***** dude..... - mriegger, on 11/12/2009, -0/+14Chimps suck.
Seriously, what other animal fights even remotely as dirty as these things? Lions go for the throat. Elephants trample. Sharks bite off limbs. Snakes inject poison.
But Chimps? gouge out the eyes, then bite off the genitals. - JRowe3388, on 11/12/2009, -2/+16wow
- madamme, on 11/12/2009, -0/+13Part of her leg was attached where her nose used to be.
(rtfa) - roflcopter47, on 11/12/2009, -1/+14Remember those annoying Old Navy commercials years ago with the old woman and the chimp? It's the same chimp that attacked the lady.
- buddymander, on 11/12/2009, -2/+14i voted you down but i still laughed
- DaDrake, on 11/12/2009, -1/+12Oprah is famous for weight cycling... she will loose 50 Ibs, gain it back, loose it again, etc. Of course, being so filthy rich... you would think she would stop caring about how others perceive her and just try to be healthy (weight cycling is much worst than being fat).
- bobburn1, on 11/12/2009, -1/+12Half her jaw was ripped off, her nose was torn from her face, and the majority of the skin on her face was removed. It hasn't been long since then, and *****, HER WHOLE FACE WAS DESTROYED.
- spearce, on 11/12/2009, -0/+11O_O
- Darrelc, on 11/12/2009, -0/+11Did you get the ***** advert again when you pressed the faux full screen button? god damn crappy news video
- hivoltage815, on 11/12/2009, -6/+16How did the chimp add more mass to her face rather than take it away?
- kartman2001, on 11/12/2009, -0/+10This ain't the movies yet, Even the few face transplants that have been performed don't really live up to the expectations of most yet.
- Shadowfox99, on 11/12/2009, -1/+11Damn nature, you scary!
- vodka357, on 11/12/2009, -0/+10No wonder Charlton Heston was so pissed
- javakah, on 11/12/2009, -0/+10The last I had read about this difference in strength, the scientists were suggesting that the cause for such a difference (even accounting for us being weaker from being sedentary), was that humans generally trade extra strength from our muscles for more more precise muscle control. Humans can be capable of greater strength, but there are built in limits to discourage use that will affect our finer control. On occasion we can bypass these limits for a short duration, achieving super-strength for short durations when we are pumped up on adrenaline. So the chimps pretty much normally have as much (or perhaps a bit more) strength than we do when we are full of adrenaline.
Well, that's the summary of the last I read on it at least. - newes, on 11/12/2009, -0/+10I think your quality of diggs has gotten to the point where we can no longer allow you to live.
- potamkin, on 11/12/2009, -0/+9This is horrendous and i feel for this poor woman, but i'm afraid the lesson here is not to have stupid exotic pets, and to leave wild animals where they belong. A chimpanzee is not a suitable 'pet'. Get a dog ffs
- tgrokz, on 11/12/2009, -2/+11i really wasnt expecting that. holy ***** *****
- Ryan_KW, on 11/12/2009, -0/+9Oprah will exploit anyone for a couple of bucks.
- xGeneric, on 11/12/2009, -0/+9Anyone else watch the show and cringe more at Oprah doing the interview, than when seeing the lady's face? The first people she interviewed were the two first responders at the Fort Hood shooting. She actually asked the woman if getting shot was painful. Then she asked the chimp lady stuff like "Were you a vain person? Did you used to spend a lot of time putting on makeup?", and at the end when she grabbed her... ummm... hand, and said "oh got your little finger, your thumb *hehehe*". Ughh...
- inactive, on 11/12/2009, -0/+9You seen his face too?
- x00x, on 11/12/2009, -0/+9
Yes, absolutely true.
I read about a similar incident occurring about a year ago where two chimps in a lab somehow got out of their cages, terribly disfiguring a man and a woman but the one thing that stuck in my mind most of all was that they had ripped off their victim's testicles. -
