Phone: (360) 794-7191- inactive, on 03/03/2008, -245/+49What he did was wrong no doubt. But posting someones name, address, and phone number online is not only dangerous but irresponsible. This guy's probably got a shotgun waiting next to his front door now.
It's a dog, not a person. If people are that outraged by this they need to get a grip on reality. Instead of posting this guys address online you should focus on the child molesters that live in your neighborhood. That's something to be upset about.- oldhick, on 03/03/2008, -14/+150Are you serious? The guy is messed up enough to kill a puppy. Then he's messed up enough to post the video on the internet and you're worried about posting his name and number??? Grow a pair dumb ass. The guy wants publicity and he's getting it. Or is it only ok for him to set the terms of his publicity?
- bentman78, on 03/03/2008, -42/+7Post your information on the internet. He killed a dog....it's wrong and he should be punished, but doing this is just emoting an irrational response...
- oldhick, on 03/03/2008, -2/+31Why would I want my info out there? I didn't video tape myself with my name clearly audible in the video on the internet.
- OldJesser, on 03/03/2008, -3/+9People in his neighborhood deserve to know who they're living with to the extent that he did something publicly that is quite disgraceful and has all the hallmarks of psychopathic behaviour. Further, no one responsible is going to go assault his place of residence because the rest of us aren't sick ***** like he is. We can, however, stop doing business with him if we know him, or socially punish him by shunning him (however effective as that might be).
- bjs3171, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3nah. ***** him. he's the one who threw a ***** dog off a cliff. i don't care if he's at war, i really really don't. i hope his phone doesn't stop ringing untill he changes the number. piece of *****. and yes, i know it's a dog, but guess what. i have an 11 month old puppie myself. hopefully, that guy just stepped on a land mine later that day.
- bentman78, on 03/03/2008, -42/+7Post your information on the internet. He killed a dog....it's wrong and he should be punished, but doing this is just emoting an irrational response...
- Wiini, on 03/03/2008, -7/+88He's man enough to kill innocent puppies by throwing them off a ledge, then he's probably one of those 1337 marines that is man enough to kill an Iraqi civilian when no one is looking and then call him an insurgent.
What the hell do I care what happens to him now?- bentman78, on 03/03/2008, -40/+5Just like your man enough to sip starbucks coffee and bitch about politics but not man enough to do anything about it like serve your country or do something worthwhile to society...
Man...making assumptions is fun!- oldhick, on 03/03/2008, -4/+21You're ripping through people today. Help me understand how you can defend a guy that throws puppies off cliffs? While serving your country is certainly honorable, does that excuse any and all behaviors? Whats left of a man if he takes enjoyment in killing someone's dog by throwing it off a cliff. What's left of a man who has such little shame that he will post that video on the internet where we can see his face and hear his name? Why are you defending this shell of a man? I seriously would like to understand your position as I am completely baffled.
- paperclipsNsoup, on 03/03/2008, -4/+7Serving his country? I'm sorry, but going to Iraq is not serving the country. Iraq isn't a threat to us, in fact the 9/11 hijackers were mostly Saudis, and Bin Laden was in Afghanistan (not to be mistaken for Iraq).
Why did we not go to war with Saudi Arabia you might ask. Because that might ruin the $40B weapons deal we have with them... and the oil, can't forget about the oil.
Don't get me wrong, I support the troops, they were duped too. But leaving people in the middle of the desert with little direction, poor funding and no real plan of action besides, 'get them terrorists', is enough to drive anyone mad. That being said, he (as well as all soldiers abusing position/power) should be held accountable. Acting like an idiot/bigot/psycho gives a poor image of US soldiers and thus a poor image of the US (especially to those middle easterners that live it first hand) and thats no way to make friends. - germanguy89, on 03/04/2008, -2/+0The only reason the military has poor funding over in the Middle East is because douchebag liberals like you won't give Bush the funding the MILITARY NEEDS! When the Demofags do approve funding, there's always some sort of string attached to it about how Bush has to pull the entire military out by a set date. If the Jackasses of politics would just approve military funding, this war would have been done about two years ago. so before you start blabbin off about how it's a war for oil and weapons, maybe you should get off of your high horse and look at who's fault it really is that these "duped" soldiers don't have all the necessary equipment over there to get the job done right. By the way I don't agree with that soldier's actions at all. He is a sorry excuse for an American soldier
- paperclipsNsoup, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2@Germanguy
liberals don't approve spending?!? what about the some $500 trillion that was spent already, Vietnam only cost about $133 billion. Even compensating for inflation $1 trillion a head spinning amount of money.
To get an idea of how big a trillion dollars is lets do a little math:
The cost to build a high school in the US is about 10-20 million, assuming they all cost 20 million, you can build 50 schools.
The average cost to pay a police officer for 1 year is about $45,000, we'll say 50,000 for the sake of easy math. For $1 billion you could hire 20,000 police officers for a year (the war cost more than $500,000 billion)
In short, research what is going on before you lay blame.
Just an FYI the military budget for 2008 is $548.8 billion, the budget for education is $89.9 billion, science $25 billion, national public health (medicare, medicade etc) $276.4 billion.
- Wiini, on 03/03/2008, -1/+6Firstly: I don't drink coffee.
Secondly, I do bitch about Politics, and am active politically (I vote, attend my city council meetings, and write my senator and congressman), so I've earned the right to bitch about it.
Thirdly, that son of a bitch isn't serving jack. He's succeded in tarnishing in the image of the nation with his poor decision. Regardless of whether or not our image is 'tarnished enough' as it is... I don't care, I didn't elect him to do ***** like that, and I sure as hell wouldn't consider him a hero.
- bentman78, on 03/03/2008, -40/+5Just like your man enough to sip starbucks coffee and bitch about politics but not man enough to do anything about it like serve your country or do something worthwhile to society...
- bbqsalad, on 03/03/2008, -10/+34No. You're a ***** idiot.
- Nougat, on 03/03/2008, -3/+26When you do things in public, you have to expect people to find out that you did them.
- psion01, on 03/03/2008, -16/+17UltramegaOK, you're in the middle of a full-on Digg lynch mob, and no amount of reasoning will get through to them. The guy deserves punishment for this, but anyone who makes it their mission in life to avenge that poor dog by phoning a stranger at all hours of the night or vandalizing his home is just setting themselves up for harassment charges and a lawsuit.
And that's even assuming that NullZipZero didn't accidentally or deliberately post incorrect information.- darkane, on 03/03/2008, -8/+5Right. Clearly the masses are stupid because they don't agree with your opinions.
- oldhick, on 03/03/2008, -5/+11Did you ever think people might want his name and address so they can accurately report him to the authorities and the media? I don't think most of us are planning on driving across the country for a dog.
- psion01, on 03/03/2008, -4/+2Oldhick, go back and re-read my post. See the part where I say "... but anyone who makes it their mission in life to avenge that poor dog ..."? That restricts my case to those motivated to vigilantism. Now the next part is where I say, "... by phoning a stranger at all hours of the night ..."; didja happen to miss that part or was the strawman about "planning on driving across the country" intentionally obtuse? Read some of the posts here and on Reddit. You're naive if you think as much as a quarter of these people are planning to go about resolving this properly. Most plan on getting their giggles with 2:00am phone calls. Correction, most will do nothing more than venting here in a fit of masturbatory outrage. Most of the remainder will think prank calls somehow equals justice, and the rest might ... just might ... try to report this guy so he gets properly disciplined.
And all of that just assumes NullZipZero's information is correct!
Darkane had it right even though he/she/it is probably just too dim to realize it.

Boo hoo. I hope that guy gets pancreatic cancer.- deathmatch, on 03/03/2008, -2/+3right cuz murder is okay...but heaven forbid a puppy dying.

- xB4R7x, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3The content of the letter in the mail to his address:
David Mortari:
A disgrace to this country and to his uniform. His parents have done a ***** job raising him, or he did a ***** job listening. My thoughts and prayers do not go out to him. - da_bradler, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3I don't understand what you guys denouncing putting up his address are thinking? Do you think somebody is going to go to his house and kill his family because he killed a dog cruelly? Believe it or not most people in the world aren't like the guy in this video, they have enough sense.
At worst he is going to get a lot a lot of hate mail a lot of angry phone calls calling him a disgrace and etc and some suedo threats of violence like "How would you like it if I came over and threw you off a cliff". Why should he not be held socially responsible for his actions? We live in a society and if someone violates the rules of that society(ie don't be cruel to other living things for absolutely no reason) they deserve to be outcast.
Seriously nobody is going to kill him or his family and I don't think hate mail is to extreme a punishment.- Kajarago, on 03/04/2008, -0/+0It only takes one.
- Kristin5907, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1You say it's just as dog not a human being but many murderers, rapists, and other bad people in this world all have one thing in common. They all showed early signs of there instability by harming animals. So yeah if you ask me, we should punish him and see to it that he can never do this again.
- oldhick, on 03/03/2008, -14/+150Are you serious? The guy is messed up enough to kill a puppy. - Mejari, on 03/03/2008, -0/+16... wait, what?

- natchiketa, on 03/03/2008, -1/+20well why don't you call him and find out? "Rey Ravid! RI'm Arive!"
- kooft, on 03/03/2008, -3/+68File a complaint including all of his information, your outrage and the video with the USMC Provost Marshal's Office. If the crime is bad enough he could be dishonorably discharged. This would prevent him from owning a firearm and gaining government employment (i.e., your taxes won't pay his wages any longer).
- NJank, on 03/03/2008, -0/+5link or address?
- kooft, on 03/03/2008, -0/+16You can start with the Camp Pendleton PMO:
http://www.pendleton.usmc.mil/base/ses/pmo/pmo.asp
"The Provost Marshal is responsible for law enforcement and physical security activities for Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. The Provost Marshal is a special staff officer to the Commanding General, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, under the staff cognizance of the AC/S Security and Emergency Services."
I've got no way to verify if this is where these Marines are based but I'm sure they could take the complaint and direct it to the appropriate base, if necessary. At the very least they could direct you to a more general office or refer you to a civilian channel for filing complaints.- SilentJay74, on 03/03/2008, -0/+3Pendelton PMO has nothing to do with it. He is stationed out of Hawaii. Call the Provost Marshal in Hawaii.
- psion01, on 03/03/2008, -2/+3Good job, Kooft! It's good to see a few people trying to talk sense while the masses take to pitchforks and torches.

You can't be certian it's the right person, either. - elegantjihad, on 03/03/2008, -3/+12I honestly think internet vengence is totally deserved for the guy in the video, but as it's been said above, how do we know that address is of the guy in the video? That's one reason out of many for why you don't post home addresses over the web. I've seen a lot posted here on digg that would imply the guy in the video lives in Hawaii. How do we even know that info is correct? Unless you have 100% correct insider info, you may have just ruined some innocent bystander's month. I thought this whole thing was in reaction to *****
