- reflex768, on 05/03/2008, -2/+18Apologies, I should have typed "wife" rather than "lover," given that as the story tells, they were married at the last moment. Force of habit I guess.
- Abestar, on 05/03/2008, -3/+11What a great mother, she leaves all her money to a lesbian from another country and all the kids get is the debts for her foundation.
- alanocu, on 05/03/2008, -2/+8no worries reflex - a very interesting story - a really great find!
- NemoNowhere, on 05/03/2008, -2/+8Lesbians RULE!

- sjinadasa, on 05/03/2008, -1/+5Wow.. she was a bitch to her children
- camilos007, on 05/03/2008, -3/+7Whatever her sexual preference was, is no one's business but her own. But as a mother, she had ALOT to learn. She left nothing to her children and she wouldn't even see some of them on her deathbed. Real nice lady.
- inactive, on 05/03/2008, -0/+4Spanish inquisition: 15th and 16th century.
The Inquisition started 1478 and ended in 1834 (officially). The jews were expulsed in 1492 and the Muslims were expulsed 1502.
During the 13th Islamic rule over Spain was defeated. - fatas, on 05/03/2008, -3/+7[" she was an atheist, a republican and reckoned her 13th-century ancestor Guzman el Bueno, ennobled for fighting the Moors, was a north African whose grandmother was black."]

This is the story for the movie "El Cid"
What was ***** up was that the Spanish rewrote history after their inquisition. During the 13th century you had Spanish Muslims & Spanish Christians side by side fighting the invaders from North Africa who were Muslims but practised a stricter strand. - dysfunction, on 05/03/2008, -0/+3No- should read "WARNING: HUMAN INTEREST".
- evanfrey, on 05/03/2008, -4/+6nah, lover sounds hotter
- mardybum, on 05/03/2008, -0/+2That's hot
- bunki8, on 05/03/2008, -4/+6You leave your inheritance to the person / people in your life who you care about and who care for you. Sounds like she hasn't cared for her kids and they haven't cared for her either...that is until money was involved.
would it have mattered if it wasn't a woman? - beautifulbeast, on 05/03/2008, -0/+2I'm Spaniard and never heard any of this. Now you're making me read the article if I want to learn something about my country.
- inactive, on 05/03/2008, -6/+7huhha huh, lesbians are cool. Especially the ones that are doing it... Of course the isle of Lesbos is pissed about the whole thing.
- ulairix, on 05/03/2008, -1/+2Don't be surprised when this is overturned. The currently recognized Duke of Medina Sidonia is her eldest son, Leoncio Alonso González de Gregorio y Álvarez y Toledo. He is the rightful and legal heir and such will be recognized in the Spainish courts.
- thomashauk, on 05/03/2008, -1/+2By the sounds of things it was mutual
