- shoover, on 07/04/2008, -8/+206Because, you know, it is having lots of flags that make you patriotic. Not doing something actually useful for your country.
- etherreal, on 07/04/2008, -12/+131Flag-waving idiots are not patriots.
- tr0y85, on 07/04/2008, -1/+86Everyone knows patriotism kicks in at 1,033.
- bixby1, on 07/04/2008, -3/+79The only thing missing from this picture is a full-scale fireworks display and a monster truck.
- orangederange, on 07/04/2008, -1/+621032 flags... wonder how many of them were Made in the USA?
- MattFid, on 07/04/2008, -8/+64That's not patriotism. This is patriotism: http://tinyurl.com/6nynwd
- GeckoSlayer, on 07/04/2008, -5/+50Isn't one flag enough?
- Jenadae, on 07/05/2008, -2/+43Tomorrow on Digg:
Most patriotic man alive commits suicide after realizing his flag collection was completely made in China... - kemp34, on 07/04/2008, -2/+42Wow, that is pretty gaudy and ridiculous. I don't think that really does honor to the flag. Just my thoughts.
- pintomp3, on 07/05/2008, -5/+41especially since the flags are made in china.
- S4MF1SHER, on 07/04/2008, -8/+40I'm surprised he's not on the front lawn, firing off a shotgun and yelling, "I'M A YANKEE DOODLE DANDY!"
- pintomp3, on 07/05/2008, -0/+27what does it represent? our massive debt to china?
- kemp34, on 07/04/2008, -3/+27Large number of flags /= patriotism.
- inactive, on 07/04/2008, -5/+29You don't know the meaning of the word "patriotic".
- inactive, on 07/04/2008, -2/+24You may understand it in a generic sense. What I meant to say was, you don't know what it means to be a patriotic U.S. citizen. That's the problem with nationalism... it's bs intended to look like patriotism.
All that aside, how many months of the year do you suppose this jackass spends 14 hours working towards improving his beloved country? If one had 1033 flags at his or her house, would they love their country more? Or, does this fellow love his country more then someone who has only 1? How about someone who celebrates the Declaration of Independence as the greatest document ever written, and flies a Gadsden flag, knowing that IN THE U.S., the concept of a national flag is contrary to individual sovereignty, the founding principles of the nation?
To some, flying a billion flags may seem the epitome of patriotic. To others, it's asinine, nationalistic, and the antithesis of patriotic. - ninalama, on 07/05/2008, -7/+25It's interesting.. living in Canada, I don't see many people waving their flags. Sure, they are also proud of living here, but in the states it seems more of an act like "HEY WE'RE TRYING TO CONVINCE OURSELVES WE ARE SUPERIOR IN ALL WAYS AND REPRESENT FREEDOM" and it's just overly nationalistic.
- Diancechet, on 07/04/2008, -3/+21I'd say hes overcompensating for somthing
- spartan777, on 07/05/2008, -6/+24"Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind."
-Einstein - ha3er0, on 06/16/2009, -2/+19More Flags, More Fun!!
- pjpete, on 07/05/2008, -3/+18At first glance I read 'Most pathetic man alive' - pretty damn close!
- besheer, on 07/05/2008, -0/+15And a mullet.
- elfuego, on 07/04/2008, -12/+26At the same time though, it's a gesture of pride in one's country. Is it the best way one could support America? Probably not. Does he deserve credit for having his heart in the right place? I'd say he does.
Well done, you glorious flag-hoarding bastard... well done. - mtrip, on 07/05/2008, -3/+16Go back to Russia commie.
- cdigioia, on 07/05/2008, -0/+13And a DD+ chick with an American flag-print bikini holding an M-16 .
- Borgcube636, on 07/05/2008, -6/+19No flag on my apartment this year. This country doesn't deserve it.
- Jennefah, on 07/05/2008, -1/+13If a great number of people in the country didn't want war then you aren't serving your country... only serving the interests of the people who wanted the war, or will benefit from the war.
- pintomp3, on 07/05/2008, -2/+14and a flag lapel pin.
- adventflux, on 07/05/2008, -0/+12Shhh...Michael Bay might hear you.
- pakakapa, on 07/05/2008, -4/+15god bless china
- zxcasd, on 07/05/2008, -1/+12number of flags != amount of patriotism
- tehpwnerofn00bs, on 07/05/2008, -0/+11true, but while not really any more patriotic, 1776 flags would be more appropriately symbolic.
- pwnerofnoobs, on 07/05/2008, -1/+12The flags that adorn the house represents a man that is desperately seeking to be on the Colbert Report.
- ryanarchy, on 07/04/2008, -3/+14I can think of something that rhymes with patriotic to describe this man.
Well, that and consumerist whore. - kwago, on 07/05/2008, -0/+10dont forget the crying bald eagle
- HitLines, on 07/05/2008, -0/+9A few blocks away from my house a fellow citizen has a tiny yard flag for every troop member who has been killed in Bush's war since 2001. Sadly, that number is much higher than 1,032. It would make me, personally, feel more patriotic if he only had to fly one. I would proudly be that one.

Ann and Don Bender's front yard is decorated with more than 3,600 flags to mark the number of U.S. military casualties in Iraq. - inactive, on 07/04/2008, -6/+15and beer

- Novamaster0, on 07/04/2008, -1/+10...And our flag was still there... and so were the other thousands...
- Chachuka, on 07/05/2008, -1/+9You clearly are not an American Patriot.
- PaulRay, on 07/05/2008, -0/+8That's not Patriotic, it's Obsessive Compulsive.
I wonder how many of those little plastic flags were made by small children in sweat-shops in China. - tehpwnerofn00bs, on 07/05/2008, -0/+8but... but... flag burning is what people who hate America do.
- supermanred, on 07/05/2008, -3/+10We whine because we can't bear to see our neighbours to the south lose their freedom in the name of freedom. You are all so hypnotized by your poor education system and rich media that you have over the last 10 years given away everything that made America what it was. And yet you still wave the ***** flags as these ***** ***** who stole your freedom drive by in some stupid limo in a dumb ass parade.
It's out of love that we whine, you see... We're pretty happy up here. We just want you guys to smarten up and straighten out your government (burn the ***** to the ground if you have to).
Now smarten up or no more raw nuclear materials or oil for you, ok! - quaxon, on 07/04/2008, -25/+32Burn your countries flags
***** your patriotic pride
***** the politicians and the ***** they try to hide
They make you pay their taxes and they make you fight their wars
But they won't feed the hungry and they don't care about the poor
Instead they try and take you for all your ***** worth
And they separate with flags all the people of the earth
They exploit our different cultures and enhance our sickening greed
And they get the hatred rising which is exactly what they need
But what about the people's needs
Will they be unfulfilled
And what of those who speak out? Will those "traitors" then be killed?
The only traitors that exist are the traitors to mankind
The ones who put the money first and the people's need behind
They say is we don't love our country then get the hell out
Should we be thankful to die in battle for what our flag's about?
Nationalistic pride is ***** ***** why can't the people see
As long as flags fly up above us no one's really free - rolf, on 07/05/2008, -1/+8I wonder how many of those flags say "Made in China"
- vinceislegend, on 07/05/2008, -3/+10I'm betting on Republican.
