- jessestorm, on 04/24/2008, -3/+119This has been on digg at LEAST twice before, and it's already been shown that most of these "homeless" people are just teenagers who think it's cool to look poor.
- Jaroid, on 04/24/2008, -2/+80Wait... I'm confused. Is this an ad for Urban Outfitters or American Eagle?
- fadeout, on 04/24/2008, -1/+71Exposed as a Tom Waits-ish art/fashion shoot the last half dozen times this has been on digg.
- bfeagan, on 04/24/2008, -6/+54Only 29 pictures. INACCURATE.
- bossm4n, on 04/24/2008, -9/+51Nice photos. I'm very thankful they aren't scratch n' sniff.
- inactive, on 04/24/2008, -0/+35These are photos featuring anarchist crust punks. Rich white suburban kids who chose to be homeless because they feel (for now) that it's the only way to live truly free from the oppressions of modern society. There's a big difference between youthful rebellion and people who're homeless due to serious mental illnesses, drug and alcohol problems, or just had a few awful financial breaks they couldn't bounce back from. I think it's important that the distinction be made.
They're cool photos anyways though. - reflex768, on 04/24/2008, -4/+35Mmm. Opossum alfresco.
- jlimon, on 04/24/2008, -0/+23How many times is this story going to be posted to digg?
I love photojournalism as much as anyone.. but can we get something new? - wastedlife, on 04/24/2008, -5/+27"Sold"
Hi! I'm the polaroid kid! I take photos of homeless people, rich people think this is deep and artistic and that makes me rich! - DeskFlyer, on 04/24/2008, -1/+23They aren't homeless.
- MCBowelmovement, on 04/24/2008, -1/+19Tour kids.
- Rodalli, on 04/24/2008, -5/+21Thank you. Homeless people don't look like 20-something, trendy, free-spirit hipsters. Homeless people are old, they're dirty, they smell, they don't shave, they don't brush their teeth. They certainly don't build *****, because that would constitute having to do work.
- ANT1138, on 04/24/2008, -1/+16This is what happens to you if you get lost on the way back to the drum circle after taking a piss.
- mith167, on 04/24/2008, -1/+15you can derelick my balls
- Foenetik, on 04/24/2008, -1/+15digg is getting worse than hollywood with it's recycling of the same ***** over and over.
- str3ama, on 04/24/2008, -6/+20DUPE DUPE DUPE DUPE DUPE DUPE DUPE
- Navicerts, on 04/24/2008, -1/+14Although someone could use a course in gutting and skinning properly.
- ekboost, on 04/24/2008, -2/+14I actually wanted to start a site where you had to determine if a person was homeless or hipster. Its a tough call sometimes.
- nullpass, on 04/24/2008, -0/+12This is an inferior duplicate of other duplicates.
Try this one:
http://ziza.es/2007/07/23/La_vida_de_vagabundos_am ...
or just search digg for 'homeless' - MasterThief117, on 04/24/2008, -2/+14Whoever skinned that opossum is just trying to ham it up for the pictures. The way whoever carved that up essentially wasted it.
- LongShlong, on 04/24/2008, -4/+15What does it inspire you to do exactly?
- alkajazz, on 04/24/2008, -0/+10Derelicte
- thscientist1, on 04/24/2008, -1/+10all the rich white suburban punks i know in my communitry that ended up like this got there because they could afford really bad drug habits. and theyre parents were disgraced and kciekd them out, not cause of any rebellion
- moldykorn, on 04/24/2008, -2/+11The crusties want to be homeless.
- aenima987, on 04/24/2008, -2/+10derelicte
- wootup, on 04/24/2008, -4/+12To live free of the alienating, monotonous grind of contemporary American life. To reclaim your time - and thus your life - from the business owners who rent it from you. To see the world, to share new and exciting experiences with new and exciting people, to feel the wind and the rain and the sun against your skin and remember what it is to feel alive. To abandon the material possessions that weigh your spirit down, to shake off others' expectations of your life, and pursue a path where you can start over and be whoever you want to be. To wake up and ask yourself each morning what you should do that day, and provide the same answer to yourself every time: "Whatever I please".
Have you never backpacked, adventured, wandered? - panzermeyer, on 04/24/2008, -1/+9I have seen this before, posted here on Digg. AND! They are not homeless as I see pictures of 'kids' staying in a house, thus the term home-less does not apply. For the term to apply they (the 'kids') first have to be less a house, which they are not according to the pictures.
- Navicerts, on 04/24/2008, -0/+8I dunno a couple still looked cute - they were just dirty.
- galeninjapan, on 04/24/2008, -3/+10Why do you feel bad? They choose to live like this.
- inactive, on 04/24/2008, -1/+8What you actually care about a bunch of ***** who can afford TATTOOS, jewelery and heroin?
- HarryBauzonia, on 04/24/2008, -0/+7The discerning palate would just know.
- Navicerts, on 04/24/2008, -0/+7I was in France a couple weeks ago and it's very common for the homeless there to have dogs. I found out the reason is that if the police want to take them in they need to contact the animal control agencies before they can arrest them - the dogs are very territorial regarding their masters. This gives them some extra protection from both citizens and police.
- HarryBauzonia, on 04/24/2008, -1/+8I figured out it was staged when I saw the retarded butchering job on the possum.
It looked like roadkill. I can only hope wouldn't try gutting it before skinning it. - jdames1980, on 04/24/2008, -0/+7This reminds me of "Into the Wild". I wonder if it ends the same.
- ChzPlz, on 04/24/2008, -0/+7Become a better photographer. Or, at least take more photos.
- Rodalli, on 04/24/2008, -0/+7100%
- b3astie, on 04/24/2008, -0/+7It's like camping, but everyday!!!
- typicalusername, on 04/24/2008, -2/+8If I want to see the homeless, I'll go downtown and throw pennies at them....
- johnnall, on 04/24/2008, -0/+6Pretty much 100%. I have a friend who is a rail kid. He just likes the lifestyle. He tried to settle down with another friend of mine but it just didn't work out. He didn't want to work or anything else "responsible" so they split and he went back on the road.
- tambird, on 04/24/2008, -2/+8how much of this is choice?
- Strongo, on 04/24/2008, -0/+5Better ending would be Grizzly man
- sagat, on 04/24/2008, -6/+11I'm sure their parents are so happy that their children decided to study liberal Arts at their expense then ***** off to become travelling bums.
- 10lbhammer, on 04/24/2008, -1/+6not exactly true. in the area of seattle in which I live, there are many homeless kids that live on the tracks that look exactly like this. although, I do see them almost every day, so I guess they're not traveling...
- magoblygoo, on 04/24/2008, -4/+9keep your coins, i want change
- plizard, on 04/24/2008, -1/+5this is old and was proven to be rich people who thought it would be cool to live in hobos during the day but go home to mommy and daddy's mansion at night
- mooseofshadows, on 04/24/2008, -0/+4This deserved a superdigg.
- brock2020, on 04/24/2008, -1/+5I bet it smells like the inside of an ass in there.
- dulymachine, on 04/24/2008, -4/+8Why the ***** is this dugg down?... Thank-you for posting a mirror applekrr.
- xanadont, on 04/24/2008, -4/+8That train you're riding? Yeah, it's there because of material possessions.
