Why is it appropriate to call this girl a goth? Stereotyping is why this girl was attacked in the first place. She was a human being and didn't deserve to be attacked. Now the comments are going to be filled by jokes and stupid comments about goths.

First off, this is horrible, I have ZERO faith in humanity day in and day out. Also...and I hate to go down this path....but haven't we had enough with this so called "Thug Life" lifestyle? At what point did it become cool to become a total moron? As lesson to the kids out there thinking they are cool because they are "badass"...wake up, you will become nothing someday.

Neds/Chavs pick a fight with everyone and anyone not just goths, but goths do stand out more, more inviting for an attack. Its a complex culture of young parents living in poverty not giving a ***** about what they're children are doing because the children are just re-living their parent's meanless life, and so on with the next generation.

I'm from a state in the U.S. which has the death penalty. Even though we've failed to apply it at the right times and have often applied it in the wrong times, stories such as this one make me glad that the death penalty is still on the table for crimes such as this one. With these dirt bags, I wouldn't even mind going back to the 'good 'ol days' where we'd throw these two to the lions for public amusement.

these kids aren't beating people up because they follow a "thug lifestyle." There's a growing population of kids with a single parent, often the mother. With so many challenges facing the single parent often they will lose control, where boundaries and morals are lost on the child. In addition, the kids don;t grow up in the best of environments. The culture in schools shuns those who excel and towns don't provide the support and activities that youths need. With nothing to do and no potential, the children are left angry and frustrated, forming gangs of yobs and resorting to violence. Although this is a despicable act and it dose take a particularly cruel human to carry it out, Britain needs to wake up and provide more support to such communities otherwise these acts are only going to become more common.

I was a goth kid and got randomly attacked 3-4 times in a period of 6 months before i moved to FL for a while.

While I'm sure this story is based on fact, some of these quotes and situations they describe are probably exagerrated. The Daily Mail is an online tabloid, not far from our own print tabloids here in the U.S. Anything you read on this site should be taken with a grain of salt.
Either way, this is still a sad comment on humans continuing to be humans. -
