I would be interested in hearing more about this as it unfolds. I have to say it "sounds" compelling to me that the allegations by the plaintiff are embarrassing/humiliating, and one would think that it would be hard for someone to come forward and accuse a public official of taunting them with their own anal beads . . .

They've been tied to the Mob among many other issues. The Police Captains brother used to be Mayor here and was voted out like 70-30% mainly because of corruption. Most of them strike me as more of the high school meatheads who got fat when they stopped playing football and started playing beer pong. While I have met one or two friendly ones, the majority lack understanding of even the most basic constitutional rights. If they want to search your car, they will.     A little sister of a close acquaintance had the same thing happen to her. The parents called the police to try to get her boyfriend prosecuted. He was 23 and she was 14. The cops searched her room to try to find drugs that her parents knew she was doing. They found numerous xxx pictures. It became obvious that they had passed the pics around the dept. When another officer not originally involved visited the house he made inappropriate comments to her. Nothing ever came of it...

My personal experience is that cops will spew vicious lies under oath to protect themselves and their peers, that cop Internal Affairs departments will do everything they can to protect "their boys," and that DAs and most judges will not prosecute cops. Only when public outrage deafens them to the point where they will not be reelected will DAs and judges to anything, and that will just be a show.

    Face it, we live in a very, very corrupt society. Our judicial system is a farce. Only money and political power can purchase justice. At least in 3rd world countries they payoffs are visible. And the sickest part of the whole phenonemon is that we Americans don't want to face it -- in fact, we persecute those who speak out!
