- NBCLocal, on 06/29/2009, -2/+164I've tried to make this argument for years. "It’s not unusual for men to have large breasts that resemble women’s breasts.”
- PabloMac, on 06/29/2009, -5/+144We need to keep abreast of this issue.
- pmkenny1234, on 06/29/2009, -9/+136It's sad that this is even an issue. Nudity and sexuality are not the same thing. I seriously feel bad when it's really hot outside and women are shamed into keeping their top on when I do not have to. The obsession with the absolute requirement for clothing is stupid and illogical. Just take off ALL your clothes if it's warm enough and you don't want to wear them (just watch out for sun burns in tender spots). =P
- skc0der, on 06/29/2009, -7/+117This is Sweden, their high quality public education system prevents weak arguments like that from ever being considered in the political system.
- warp99, on 06/29/2009, -0/+110But isn't a breast the first thing a child gets right out of the shoot?
- itstodd, on 06/29/2009, -3/+105Yeah! Free range boobies!!!
- moliver21, on 06/29/2009, -1/+98And why not? Breasts are beautiful.
- blackhole37, on 06/29/2009, -5/+82But we must protect the children!!!
- Skurt, on 06/29/2009, -2/+74you spelled erection wrong...
- osteor10, on 06/29/2009, -1/+73now this is a movement i can get behind... well in front of please.
{O=O} <- my binoculars. - thizzlebot, on 06/29/2009, -1/+67Well the Swedish have to make up for being ***** to the Pirate Bay!
- megaton, on 06/29/2009, -1/+66I agree with your sentiment, but I would like to argue one point: nudity and sexuality CAN BE the same thing in any culture that limits visibility of any certain part of the human body. Any context in which nudity is deemed taboo makes it AUTOMATICALLY sexual in nature. But the reason isn't the nudity, it's the violation of the taboo that is sexual.
The only way around this, however, is to desensitize the culture, which is done very gradually, over the course of several generations. Remember, ankles used to be "hot" and dirty. Then it was calves. Then knees. Then thighs. Now we're pushing the limits of barely-there bikinis and bodypaint.
Ironically, you can thank the Internet for what is most likely going to be the most pronounced taboo-killer in the history of our world. I wouldn't fret too much about "outrage" over the unjustness of forcing women to wear tops or whatever. It's not going to be that way for much longer.
Who'da thunk the Internet would be responsible for fostering tolerance in this world... - kweee, on 06/29/2009, -1/+58Legalized it? Let me know when a city MANDATES it.
- jshhmr, on 06/29/2009, -2/+50Note to self: Move to Sweden.
At least a good portion of the Swedish population looks good enough to be topless! I will never forget the time that I went to a topless beach in Italy. 95% of those people should not be seen topless! - Zomgondo, on 06/29/2009, -1/+48Go ahead, get it off your chest.
- vonsama, on 06/29/2009, -0/+47Well done, Sweden. Well done. You have our complete support.
- warp99, on 06/29/2009, -2/+47Sorry, that should be chute instead of shoot depending on how you look at it.
- Blax, on 06/29/2009, -0/+43Here in Vancouver it's technically legal for women to be topless in most situations due to equality laws. Noone really knows about it, to the point where even the police have to be reminded about it before Mardi Gras.
- gordonf238, on 06/29/2009, -12/+53This comes as no surprise to me. Having been there, Sweden is centuries ahead of the US in just about everything, be it medicine/health, quality of living, safety, etc. But we've been taught to hail America as #1 forever and ever that it never really sinks in to the minds of most Americans who, instead of traveling and seeing the world prefer to spend their time and money buying cars or shopping at Target.
- jeffwmartin, on 06/29/2009, -1/+41They should nip this problem in the bud
- Vesper73, on 06/29/2009, -2/+41Quite the tittlating story, to be sure!
- kurtzmoo, on 06/29/2009, -0/+38most of 'em anyway
- lamejoketeller, on 06/29/2009, -2/+40^IT'S A TRAP!

- inactive, on 06/29/2009, -2/+35This is why I am currently looking at real estate in Sweden when things get even more crappy here...
- UEichen, on 06/29/2009, -4/+35they are light years ahead of us!!
- Eurynom0s, on 06/29/2009, -2/+29At first I read this as "...at public schools".
And then I got hot images of 17 year old girls with huge breasts. - po43292, on 06/29/2009, -0/+27Enhance.
- digithed, on 06/29/2009, -1/+28Exactly, the 18th century is when most of the rest of the world started using Celcius instead of Fahrenheit. ;-)
- digithed, on 06/29/2009, -1/+26It was 29°c (or 84°f in those quaint units you colonials use) where I live in Sweden today so no, no it's not cold as hell.
- tdmeth, on 06/29/2009, -0/+25Bastard. Now I can't unsee that.
- mandarin, on 06/29/2009, -0/+25so topless sunbathing is futuristic?
- borninda818, on 06/29/2009, -2/+26Only a boob would disagree!
- Zomgondo, on 06/29/2009, -2/+25I agree with you, but honestly I feel more sorry for us men than I do for the women.
- uptwolait, on 06/30/2009, -1/+23Um, geez...when you put it that way I sound kinda pathetic.
Got a link? - po43292, on 06/29/2009, -1/+22First thing it sees is a vagina, then sucks on boobs. I don't make these rules.
- Alli3388, on 06/29/2009, -2/+23So? In Vancouver Canada women can be topless anywhere men can be (in public places)... It's a law that came about when the whole equality issue was raised by some woman who, I guess, really wanted to go topless... Thing is, this has been legal for years now, and I live there, and not ONCE have I actually seen a woman walking around topless when it's hot out... Not away from the nude beach, anyway. Most women don't want to go around topless, even if they don't get charged with indecent exposure, it seems. I certainly wouldn't.
- dexter311, on 06/30/2009, -0/+20Enhance.
- koan, on 06/29/2009, -0/+19The point about equality is that you have the option to exercise it. It doesn't mean you'd have to or even want to.
But if one day you decide "***** it, I am taking my top off" you don't go to jail just because you are female. - NBCLocal, on 06/29/2009, -0/+19Ugh.
- THEbarber, on 06/29/2009, -3/+21Thanks for the mammaries!
- avianeddy, on 06/29/2009, -1/+19"colonials"?

- Chris_F, on 06/29/2009, -0/+18Yes, remember to take plenty of sun lotion. You have to block that harmful ultraviolet.
- rahsut, on 06/29/2009, -1/+18the feminists finally do something that i can agree with!
- lazyrussian, on 06/29/2009, -3/+20Have you seen THAT MUCH amateur porn that you're resorting to topless sunbathers?
- Rozenrot, on 06/29/2009, -1/+18YES. Sweden here I come!
- po43292, on 06/29/2009, -2/+19But you better be on your breast behavior.
