He left a message for us, explaining his decision. Lots of ***** going on, none of it pleasant (small business failed, mountains of debt, etc.). He said that's the way we should all go out, leaving our tormentors emptyhanded and eternally frustrated. He was as outspoken an atheist as I am (if not even more), so he asked us to save our energy and not bother praying for him. He just wanted us to remember him fondly and celebrate his release from misery.
