- Robustica, on 11/09/2009, -3/+213What a ***** driver. All those idiots waving him in and he still couldn't hit her.
- scruffybr, on 11/09/2009, -3/+66What a dumbass
- robwhite1979, on 11/09/2009, -5/+57Are you serious?? I know I sure as hell wouldn't jump in front of a train to save someone who is too drunk to save herself. I can just imagine trying to help her back onto the platform as she falls all over the place dragging me down with her... Also see: survival of the fittest.
- matty22, on 11/09/2009, -2/+52clearly you haven't been drunk before
- orijimi, on 11/09/2009, -11/+56It's so hard to not hate drunk people.
- earthtoandy, on 11/09/2009, -4/+43natural selection.... we miss you.
- MissDeFacto, on 11/09/2009, -0/+35Seriously. She's lucky she didn't get electrocuted too. Her next stop needs to be AA.
- Awwzm, on 11/09/2009, -1/+34I could have sworn she touched the 3rd rail.
- timothycrash01, on 11/09/2009, -1/+23Mom!??
- KrayzieKyd, on 11/09/2009, -1/+23You're right... Go get her, Ray!
- jerrolds, on 11/09/2009, -4/+25id like to think id give it a shot - check to see how far the train is, how fast its moving - jump down..if the drunk is too heavy and too hard to move id jump back up and be a failed hero.
- FunFactor100, on 11/09/2009, -1/+22You just did. Welcome to the Internet.
- justlior, on 11/09/2009, -3/+22Job well done to the old guy who single handedly stopped the subway with his arm.
- jamesgott, on 11/09/2009, -0/+16I think she's had enough shots.
- jamesgott, on 11/09/2009, -3/+19she and drunk convenience store guy would get along great.
- DeadliestSnatch, on 11/09/2009, -0/+15What gave it away? The orange on the train or the FOX 25 News/MyFOXboston graphic in the video?
- BigLou, on 11/09/2009, -2/+16Haha, awesome.
- oboshoe, on 11/09/2009, -0/+13Whats up with all those rectangles that keep being drawn on the video?
Some sort of people recognition system? - holamark, on 11/09/2009, -4/+16HEY I WANT TO SAY SOMETHING SO I WILL DO IT IN ALL CAPS
- immatellyouwhat, on 11/09/2009, -3/+15Must have been a woman.
- sisterofspin, on 11/09/2009, -0/+12The orange line isn't powered from the top. That's the green line (and silver line, if you count that as a "subway").
She didn't get electrocuted because she didn't actually touch the third rail, only the cover on top of it.
http://science.howstuffworks.com/subway3.htm - GeekNurse, on 11/09/2009, -4/+16It takes an insensitive clod to make light of a potentially fatal situation. Thank you for being that clod and making me lol.
- SaladCactusKing, on 11/09/2009, -0/+11Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!
- tnoy, on 11/09/2009, -0/+11or just not drunk enough
- Larssonk22, on 11/09/2009, -1/+11Owwww worst hangover ever, feels like I've been hit by a train
Alot of drunk people will tell you "I love you man", but think she will really mean it. - Alli3388, on 11/09/2009, -0/+9She was too drunk to stand.
- Sabin8, on 11/10/2009, -0/+8Is this the wife of the drunk guy who goes to the convenience store to buy more beer when the hammered beyond belief?
link to lady's husband, video still makes me laugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti3UL_mVHHI - GeekNurse, on 11/09/2009, -0/+7FTA: "How she did not get hit or hit the third rail is amazing and were very thankful that the passengers were able to stop that train," an investigator said. ..... Other passengers helped pick the woman off the tracks and lift her back onto the platform. It was a dangerous move because the track's "third rail" carries 600 volts of electricity.
- pilot3033, on 11/09/2009, -0/+7when she falls, the train headlights are already pretty close. I'd jump down if there was a reasonable amount of time to get her before a train hit us both, but in this case the correct and best course of action was to get the attention of the train operator and attempt to stop the train - which is exactly what they did. Tragic as it is, better to lose one life than two. Take into considering also what a previous poster mentioned: she's drunk and clearly unable to maintain any sort of coherent motor function, getting her and yourself back on the platform is going to be much more difficult if you were dealing with a sober or even unconscious individual.
- NJDevils30, on 11/09/2009, -0/+7That's true, however, he did say something.
- anarchyinthekr, on 11/09/2009, -0/+7Five dollar footloooooooooong
- confuciussay, on 11/09/2009, -4/+10Good driver. That was some good breaking there!. Not a day for Ogrish members..
- Takfam, on 11/09/2009, -1/+7Five...
Five dollar... - sisterofspin, on 11/09/2009, -1/+7Good driver my ass!! Justlior may be joking about that old guy stopping the train with his arm, but that's exactly what happened.
The T driver obviously doesn't see the lady on the tracks. He only stopped because the old guy (in the green coat) is in the way of the train. You can see the driver slamming on the brakes then yelling at the old guy at about :30. If that old guy had moved out of the way of the train, the driver would have kept going and run the lady over.
F the T. - FelixDrylock, on 11/09/2009, -0/+6Holy ***** me too. that's North Station I was there earlier that day.
- WolfDog, on 11/10/2009, -0/+6Actually it was a woman.
http://www.mygc.com.au/images/articles/2009/11/10/ ... - Alli3388, on 11/09/2009, -1/+7Why should they risk their lives to save that stupid drunk idiot? They did about as much as they should have.
- MoebiusStrip, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5Come on man, those 3 guys were like old grandpas. they'd break a hip trying to save her dumb ass.
- strongsad, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5BILLY MAYS HERE! ARE YOU TIRED OF GETTING *****-FACED AND FALLING IN THE PATH OF HEAVY MOVING OBJECTS? WELL, NOW THERE'S LIMBS-AWAY! IF YOU CAN'T GO ANYWHERE, YOU CAN'T GO ANYWHERE UNSAFE!1!1
Is it pure coincidence that the 5th story under "Top in People" is "HOW DO I TURN OFF CAPS LOCK? (PIC)"? - Ibox, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5I'd be a self loather...
- beakerbite, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5I was reassured by the title that she wouldn't be hit. But that was so ***** close I believed it wouldn't stop for a second there. There goes all her vegas luck.
- acroyear2, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5yeah, i'm thinking if someone would've jumped in there they could've grabbed her and rolled into the side crevice of the track or something.
The real lesson how ever, is never let a drunk chick go home alone. She's better off going to your place. - punkcat, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5rim shot.
- tigersinegypt, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4I wonder if she quit drinking after this incident.
- kyledeb, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4This is the real story on this http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/news/local/orange-l ...
- eers2snow, on 11/10/2009, -2/+6Bitches be crazy.
- incywebb, on 11/09/2009, -0/+4That train has a hell of a set of brakes. I wouldn't have thought it could stop like that. Well done, brake designer!
- holychicken, on 11/09/2009, -0/+4Too bad she didn't have enough sober to climb back up.
- thegrantman, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4Only for a day or two.
Alcohol has a way of allowing its disciples to justify any behavior as a simple mistake instead of what it really is: alcoholism. - lleeoo, on 11/10/2009, -0/+3movement
