- scallon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22As humans, we act like nothing surprises us. Show us something in slow motion, however, and suddenly we are more fascinated than a chimp playing with his own feces.
- corevette, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15sure, but are they "high FPS" cameras?
- spragg, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12I've said it before, and I'll say it again, anything in slow motion is awesome
- AlexTheDeich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Once again, Dave Chappelle is proven right in that all things look cooler in slow motion.
- jconnop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Wow. That's very cool. And I agree with you in saying that the water balloon is awesome.
- liquidjamm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Ahhh climbatize sweet stuff
- shlemielo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9anything that makes a pigeon look like a complete badass.
- mediaphile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7wrong. the bird is definitely real.
it's people like you that can't tell the difference between real and cgi that proliferate hollywood's ridiculous overuse of terrible cgi in movies. - weasel75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Man, but I am happy that the bird was not another "bullet goes thrue xyz - clip" .... was waiting for a bullet (or arrow) to hit it anytime .... internet did this to me ;)
- digg-dugg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6punching the water balloon was awwesome
- StarManta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4What makes you say it was fake?
- slickfire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4normal video runs at around 30 fps so to get certain detail, like the water baloon hitting the dude's head, figure the act took around 3-4 seconds, the end result was around 30 seconds, so around 300 frames per second, and definitely higher in the bullet clips.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This one is pretty cool also.
Slow motion video sequence of a knife bursting a water balloon.
http://scooptube.com/story/483/ - DroidBlender, on 09/18/2008, -2/+6man, these videos never get old, no matter how many times I've seen them :)
- anonymoz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4is there any pr0n out there shot in high FPS?
- jconnop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Haha I can just imagine that now, super high FPS, slow motion cumshot ... eww lol. (and the pr0n industry would soo do that, so don't suggest it)
- scallon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4watch till the end it tells you.
In case your lazy: Climbatize by Prodigy - digg-dugg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4yes, finaly a internet video without some ***** music to listen to. Climbatize goes great to it :-)
- Groady, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yeah the music really suited that video.
- noeljohnhoward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thanks slickfire
Youre really the only one who answered my question.
Yeah, film is 24 fps, video is like 27.9 - mindsnare, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That tank missile whatever it was impressed me the most.
- Grovulent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I know what you meant... I'm questioning why you think youtube is somehow morally superior. Because it clearly isn't.
- briantech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That is completely false. Humans don't see in frames. its just that at 24 FPS is when our brain switches from perceiving pictures flipping by, and perceives motion instead.
- stephenwq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The high resolution one is much much better:
http://stage6.divx.com/Slow+Motion/show_video/1021427 - antdude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2What song is this in the video? Sounds neat.
- anonymoz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i suppose this is could be said of a lot of things that let us look at everyday objects/events/etc at a more detailed level than our senses normally allow. i know i've spent far too much time looking at mundane objects shot with a macro lens, for example.
- Spikito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i saw a whole segment on either modern marvels, or the discovery channel that showed how explosives affect the human body at different distances, that last one was on there, its was pretty sweet to see explosions with a 10 ft blast radius, destroy a manekin 60 ft away. jsut wish the shockwave was more visable

For some reason, the Web page keeps crashing my Mozilla v1.7.13's Web browser. :( - Sulleric, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1NEVERMIND
- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I didn't notice anything special?
Well, I was in a bit of a hurry so I fast-forwarded through the whole thing. Maybe I missed something. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ive seen most of theses before, but i love them.
anything in High FPS Slow Motion is cool - mapkinase, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1and I am dugg down why? Nice reply to my questions...
- jimi1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Am I the only one who was expecting the arrow from the preceding clip to actually HIT that pigeon?
- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I am pretty sure my brain sees movement at 2 FPS too. Didn't people like you get extinct 65 million years ago?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Movies/films are usually about 25 FPS, normal Cams are usually about 30-35 FPS
- jokoon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah ! I can post comments now ! Thanks digg v3.5 from userstyles
- mapkinase, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Guys, I have seen many of those videos. They are very educational and thought provoking on the subj of "fast physics".
Please, every time provide actual FPS of the camera and speed of replay, so one can estimate the time lapsed on each of the events shown. - Grovulent, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1oh you mean because youtube is not a 'money making site' that doesn't leach at all... say from comedy central?
- austin006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i know i did the same thing. whats the big deal? just throwin water balloons around and shooting fruit with a gun
- viruz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1by money making , i mean that the person who posted this can "monetize" off someone else's video
- verb0ten, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3corevette beat me to it...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1how is it that that is a video hosted on youtube, but the player is about twice the size as normal, and looks higher definition? i didnt know youtube had other sizes than the standard one
- jirvoc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure humans see at 24 FPS. Just an interesting fact to put it all into perspective.
- japostoles, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2That was AWESOME
- noeljohnhoward, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2wow i misread it and got all smartass
:/
how many frames persecond are these normally. like on average. - viruz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Lets link to the original source that's not link to a "money making site" that leaches from youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX6aerxQPOs - Aque0us, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1@noeljohnhoward
Many are between 30-60 fps. Of course, this is at the low end of the spectrum. - HRF1, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1What was up with that fake CG bird at the very end? Those were all supposed to be real slow motion videos, right?
- noeljohnhoward, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2arent all cameras "frames per second" cameras?
