- RobertS44, on 10/12/2007, -19/+90His words were bold, and he even had the guts to say how scared the other candidates are... Because I think everyone in that room knows that this Administration has been one of the worst in U.S. History. They just don't have the balls to admit it.
- themastersb, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2So is it Cheney pulling the strings on Bush or does Bush make a lot of decisions on his own?
- spankaccount, on 10/12/2007, -31/+18As a conservative, I love nuts like Kucinich and Gravel - they are going to siphon the wacko lefties away from the *real* democratic candidate, giving the Republican a significant advantage.
Furthermore, anyone who think impeachment is even slightly, remotely appropriate or even possible is clearly not sane.
This next election is already starting to be fun, 18 months out. - theone2Punch, on 10/12/2007, -17/+4The guy may be right in principal, but his timing is so self serving and political (including his dramatic "here's the constitution i keep with me at all times" bit) that I question this guys motive. Nobody ever heard of kucinich before now and this is just his bid for fame and name recognition. Just be quiet buddy, they'll be out of the white house in just a couple of months with or without your intervention.
- hamandcheese, on 10/12/2007, -9/+19Whether or not it's practical or even necessary, Cheney and Bush both are deserving of impeachment. If you deny that, then you are not sane.
- redDC143C, on 10/12/2007, -5/+21"Nobody ever heard of kucinich before now and this is just his bid for fame and name recognition."
Just because *you've* never heard of him before, hardly makes him nameless. You obviously don't pay much attention to politics, since he ran in 2004.
Kucinich is about as straight-up honest as they come. Hell, if I remember correctly, back in the Clinton/Lewinsky days, he called for the investigation of Bill - something just about every other democrat chickened out on.
Your comment has reminded me of an old saying (I think it was Twain) - "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." I'd advise you to abide by this sentiment. - DildoOreilly, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3""As a conservative, I love nuts like Kucinich and Gravel - they are going to siphon the wacko lefties away from the *real* democratic candidate, giving the Republican a significant advantage.Furthermore, anyone who think impeachment is even slightly, remotely appropriate or even possible is clearly not sane.

Are you paid to post this sh!t?
The truth of the matter is, Bush and the rest of his Neo Nazi pals have highjacked your party and turned it into Vaporware overnight! And Bill O'Lielly said the "Liberals highjacked the DNC?" Riiiiight Fools!!
The GOP is heading like a speedtrain into extinction. The way of the Dodo bird. The Republican party will be half the size of the B.C. Marijuana Party ticket by 2008
Like you BigMac eating inbreds always say, "I'm Loving It!" - Yokohamalion, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Kucinich. Sounds like a brand of wiener to me.
- alllie, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Kucinich is the only one who has any honesty.
- msipes, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The party of appeasement at its best.
- spankaccount, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just think it's funny that the only people who take Kucinish seriously are Digg kids...
- rockchops, on 10/12/2007, -18/+10Amen, Kucinich! Amen! Preach it brother!
- ltfc4ever, on 10/12/2007, -14/+6Just need someone with the same balls in the UK now as well. Sadly they never seem to win!
- purdueAl, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5/raise_hand
- newsledbans, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5'by show of hands,' the most accurate way to see what the majority of Americans think.
- jetpig, on 10/12/2007, -13/+6about as accurate as the current electoral system... (adding in diebold voting machines doesn't help)
- octoquake, on 10/12/2007, -12/+44i like the comment on youtube mocking "left-wingnuts" for wasting their time and energy on an impeachment.
because as we all know...the attempt to knock clinton out of office over a blowjob was a much better use of THEIR time.- Beatmiser, on 10/12/2007, -6/+36@octoquake
While popular belief is that it was a blowjob that knocked Clinton into impeachment, that is not the case. It was perjury. Lying under oath (about that blowjob). Still a waste of time, your right, but lets keep the facts clear. - TopherT, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2@beast Yeah, well who the ***** cares?
- Syncdata, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Beatmiser is correct, but you have to keep in mind, the whole reason he was under oath was Paula Jones had a civil rights lawsuit filed against him. Regardless of what you think of the merit of the claim, perjury, subourning perjury, and withholding evidence in a lawsuit would get you and me sent to the hoosegow. Why should it be any different for any president?
- msipes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Um...he lied under oath. How is that "wasting" our time? The Constitution states that Presidents should be impeached when committing "High Crimes and Misdemeanor's". Lying to a federal grand jury is against the law. Clinton should be in jail.
- Beatmiser, on 10/12/2007, -6/+36@octoquake
- Beatmiser, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7I absolutely admire his zeal and agree with his sentiment, however it shames me that impeaching Cheney is a lost cause for any single member of Congress at this stage of the game. Had he done this in 2004 or even 2005 it would have been a possible solution. Now however, not so much.
- Syncdata, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Getting dug down for explaining the context for those who might be unfamiliar. Nice, Next time I'll just keep my yap shut.
- johnkalel, on 10/12/2007, -7/+11yes, provided that we then impeach GWB.
reasons to do so, Bushies? see http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=The_case_for_impeachment_of_President_George_W._Bush - Bossy, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12I'm confused. Why would the candidates NOT speak up for something they know is WRONG?
Does the majority of U.S. population think Vice President is innocent? That, I don't think so. Then what is causing them to with hold what to agree with what is right? Someone enlighten me.- hagbard72, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12Because the Democrats what to continue to look spineless, and probably, because of their own past actions regarding Iraq make them guilty as well.
- diggless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5in this system if you attack a member of the club (elected officials) you cause people to be unwilling to work with you. Its like burning a bridge to them. You lose a relationship to leverage. Its like bad mouthing a former employer. Its just not what you should do. That being said, its horrible that this behavior is rewarded. These people are shameful. They have no convictions, winning an election is more important than standing up for what they really think. Changing your black and white opinions to gray is what keeps people from actually learning anything about you. This in-turn prevents them from having anything too damaging to say. And its not who has the best ideas, but who has the fewest skeletons in our closet. I would rather vote for someone who has made mistakes and admitted so and learned from them than someone who cant point out mistakes for fear that they show weakness. This fear of criticism is awful and seems to drive the downward spiral of this system. Politics should not be a career. Being a lawyer shouldn't be a requisite. We should have farmers and welders and mechanics and professors and scientists involved in government.
.... of the people - redDC143C, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Because the Democrats what to continue to look spineless, and probably, because of their own past actions regarding Iraq make them guilty as well."
Remember, this is a Presidential race we're talking about here - one of them is likely to be the next president. None of them (well, most) don't have the balls to kick GW out when it could very well be them in the same position.
- NikoKun, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11the way this government is run... is an absolute travesty to man-kind... if man-kind is ever going to grow up and reach the future... it wont be by america's hands... at least not as america is right now run by this kind of government... It will be by the hands of true americans, willing to stand up and fight for truth and real freedom... or else it will be by some other country... and unless we do see, people in this country start to really stand up, it will be better to move else ware...
*stands up... or at least raises a ***** hand when it comes to impeaching these nuts...* - Lucidvegas, on 10/12/2007, -8/+7I raise my hand. I back him fully. Protest going on all over the country today. Wish I could be at one of them, but I can't. So me speaking here is my voice for today.
Impeach Cheney and Bush~!- WhiteRaven, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'll give you an opportunity to show yourself to be a sensible and mature person but putting into words what no one else can seem to. What are the exact legal grounds you would use for impeachment?
- hologrammanical, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5for the love of god, why hasn't this happened already?!?
- hagbard72, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Good for him! How about a Paul-Kucinich ticket?
- Santiak, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5According to a Newsweek poll, 47 percent of the democrats of this country think that impeaching Bush should be a “top priority,” Of course, the percentage should be much higher to impeach Cheney.
What the f&$k is wrong with our presidential candidates???
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15357623/site/newsweek/page/2/- WhiteRaven, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Unlike "the people" these candidates know a little bit about the law and the constitution. Trying to make a case for impeachment when there is none would only make them look silly... like Kucinich. If Kucinich were a rational, mature individual, he would have taken that opportunity to cite *specific instances of wrongdoing* rather than making vague accusations.
- deivys, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13All I saw up there were a bunch of pussies. Thanks Kucinich for at least trying to do the right thing and I am 100% behind you.
- redDC143C, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Man, if only we were playing with Mr. Potato Head.
I'd love to take Obama's charisma, Kucinich's morality, Gravel's sheer testicular fortitude, and Hilary's.. well.. never mind about Hilary.
- redDC143C, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Man, if only we were playing with Mr. Potato Head.
- robotbling, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4out of all the candidates, I like this guy the most. The only problem is, his name is hard to spell, and therefore Americans will not vote for him.
- octoquake, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@beatmiser
regardless...it was motivated by the moral implications of adultery. perjury was the claim, if only because adultery was no ground to impeach upon. or at least it seems that was the logic behind the movement to me - cheese06, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3With all this talk about liberals vs conservatives, why do we even vouch for either? Whatever happened to the moderates? The silent majority? Its as simple as this, moderates are too boring to talk with, its always better for extremists to come out of the woodwork and cause an uproar in the media for a cheap ratings boost, nothing more.
- andergriff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Moderates? What in hell do you think the Bush family is all about? That's why their administrations were so unpopular. They pissed off BOTH liberals AND conservatives. It takes rare talent to do that.
- aikimann, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I think more people should look into voting Libertarian. A kind of mix of the right and the left views. Granted, Libertarians have their own share of nuts as well, but the policies are sound and pragmatic.
- alllie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Libertarians are just Republicans for drugs.
- truman48, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Vote for the Fair Tax and take away most of the politicains power
- WhiteRaven, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Why didn't he cite actual, legal grounds for impeachment? Why was he so vague... talking about "lies about" instead of naming specific lies? Why accuse Cheney of formulating war against Iran without giving examples of what has been done along those lines.
Oh, I know why. Because this is nothing but a line of bull. There are no grounds for impeachment. Either demonstrate wrongdoing or shut the ***** up. These vague accusation only serve to demonstrate how weak these arguments are.- headt0thebunker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0You are an idiot....there has to be a hundred websites on the internet that list the reasons for impeachment........If you can't find one....its because you have your head up your ass......and there probably isn't enough light up there.
- hammerattack, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Kucinich is a left wing nut. But of all the left wing nuts running for President on the Democratic ticket, he's the only one who is honest about it. And more then just about anyone else running for President on any ticket at this moment... he has my respect.
Not that I'd vote for the nut. I just respect him. - thestud, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3you have no perspective on the war in Iraq. Would you please read what other presidents have done and not been impeached.. stop being blinded by your hatred.
http://www.wired.com/politics/law/news/2001/09/47051?currentPage=1- headt0thebunker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It is stupid ass posts like yours that will piss this country away..... People this far in the dark shouldn't be allowed to vote....Blinded by hate my ass.....I'm pissed off that I was lied to.......I'm pissed off that bush and co. have blew billions of dollars on a war they KNEW they couldn't win before they went.....if you have enjoyed the last 6 years of being lied to....I have a bridge in Brooklyn I have been trying to sell .....I can hook you up *****.
- Rager50, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Bush and the fat bald one should be impeached. Clinton got in trouble for having an extra marital affair and lying about it yet these idiots who believe their holier than most lied to the country and cost how many people so much heartache.
