- GTOFan350, on 11/05/2008, -24/+1674Aww.....but thanx to Ron Paul, he motivated a lot of young americans to vote. I really wish he was the republican nominee besides McCain. Much love, Dr. Paul.
- taiwanniggadu, on 11/05/2008, -42/+1672 respect
- davehenning, on 11/05/2008, -106/+1047I VOTED FOR RON PAUL
- mikejones1983, on 11/05/2008, -73/+902We're just getting started.
http://www.campaignforliberty.org/ - UltraMegaFilms, on 11/05/2008, -85/+873I think his heart is in the right place, and I have tremendous respect for him in that regard, but I can't ignore his disbelief in evolution and the desire to keep resources separate. That's the beauty of democracy though. Congratulations on being mentioned in every Digg thread for the last 18 months!
- MiIhouse, on 11/05/2008, -66/+807remember when digg liked Ron Paul? you know, before this whole hate McCain praise Obama thing took over.
digg is mainstream media. - BBryan, on 11/05/2008, -59/+744love the sneakers with the suite
- solarsavior, on 11/05/2008, -71/+660Suckit Republicans. You had your chance to win with Ron Paul and you blew it.
- mattyz0r, on 11/05/2008, -44/+615He would have destroyed Obama in the debates. Ron Paul knows more about foreign and economic policies than Obama, McCain and Joe the Plumber combined.
- sunburner, on 11/05/2008, -10/+561It's sad when the party you are a part of sucks and ridicules you for being smarter than them.
- kangy3213, on 11/05/2008, -22/+473Ron Paul deserves a go kart too, guys.
- oldjersey, on 11/05/2008, -25/+430Hoping that Obama appoints Ron Paul as the United States Secretary of the Treasury.
- Moses410, on 11/05/2008, -10/+414"Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul."
- DVmaker, on 11/05/2008, -15/+394I hope we all realize that his candidacy brought the to forefront a myriad of issues that would have gone unnoticed. He has affected history and should be honored for that very point. Ron Paul is no looser.
The same goes for other long shots like Nader and Sharpton. - richirwin, on 11/05/2008, -294/+670Did somebody forget to give him his pudding?
- xShad0w, on 11/05/2008, -23/+377Lets just hope he sticks around for 2012, he'd be a good adversary to Obama!
- Link2999, on 11/05/2008, -27/+330Ron Paul for Prez 2012, I'll vote for ya man. ^_^
- staffell, on 11/05/2008, -5/+282How can he possibly be sad??? At the touch of a button he becomes TRONPAUL!!
- ferrisnox, on 11/05/2008, -18/+287We will not forget Dr. Paul's ideals.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -13/+250***** truth.
- DonJohnTom, on 11/05/2008, -38/+221Ron Paul 08!
- kentomatic, on 11/05/2008, -17/+198he's pulling a "sad grandpa"
- rivalius13, on 11/05/2008, -8/+183Buried for suite.
- feignNU, on 11/05/2008, -7/+179What an elitist. Don't you know the debates are no place for knowledge?
- Nevermor7, on 11/05/2008, -13/+178Libertarian, marxist, compassionate conservative.... all ***** labels for a bunch of humans trying to figure out where they fit in. I voted for Obama, and I disagree with some of Dr. Paul's ideas... but that doesn't stop me from wanting to give that guy a big hug and a bowl after seeing that pic.
You did good, man. - themonkman, on 11/05/2008, -4/+164I have an immense amount of respect for this man. He was far more of a maverick than McCain. He was so much a maverick that he was alienated from his entire party, which is ironic because he is the last of a dying breed of true Republicans. He had the balls to fight the big government institutions, down every chamber and hallway. He had the audacity to call out the war mongers and chicken hawks and stand up for everybody's rights, not just the ones we hold exclusive to us as Americans.
I would've given him my vote for President, as I had done in the primaries, had he become the nominee. I am saddened that the world was not yet quite ready for a man who had the same intellect as Thomas Jefferson, and the ferocity of Andrew Jackson as he took on the central banks that suffocated our country. He has the heart of a lion in the frail frame of an old man. I only wish he could live for another 100 years, for then the world might be ready for the type of change that he believed in. While I could not agree with every position and point he made, I will always remember Ron Paul as a teacher, a statesman, and a true American who even in the face of undeniable adversary told us not what we wanted to hear, but what we had to know. - CaptainAmerica1, on 11/05/2008, -89/+236At least Ron Paul supporters had half a brain... Most of the Obama supporters were doing so only because he was black and they believed they'd be getting a check soon to put gas in their cars and pay their mortgages. Even Howard Stern proved that Obama supporters knew nothing of the issues, and believed that Sarah Palin was his running mate! How dumb, ignorant, and clueless can you get???
- neveroddoreven, on 11/05/2008, -35/+182There is definitely a grid there Tron Paul. You can steer now
- gllopc, on 11/05/2008, -12/+158You know, it may take someone who is as "radical" as Obama to beat Obama in 2012.
Ron Paul just might get his chance for real. - BKitty8787, on 11/05/2008, -15/+157Why is that sad? Ron Paul is just waiting for his post-election lap-dance.
- vtnerd, on 11/05/2008, -12/+144You need to be dugg +1,000,000
- WeaponMit, on 11/05/2008, -2/+130because their TVs told them he didn't have a chance.
- MrMcGuire, on 11/05/2008, -4/+132I like his shoes.
- frazw, on 11/05/2008, -37/+165Yeah and this is the year of the linux desktop
- str1fe, on 11/05/2008, -3/+118One with flames painted on it.
- RafiParrr, on 11/05/2008, -9/+121Paul / Kucinich '12!
I can dream, right? - bunkka, on 11/05/2008, -10/+117most republicans wouldn't have voted for him
- vtnerd, on 11/05/2008, -29/+135Unlike every single other candidate, Obama included (see: gun control), Paul does not seek to push his views down the throats of the American public. This is why he was and will always be the best 2008 Presidential Candidate.
- m1zl3d, on 11/05/2008, -17/+120Us Ron Paul supporters are still out here. I refused to vote for Obama just because he was the lesser of 2 evils. You can bury me if you like.
I voted Paul for the Republican nominee and I voted Baldwin yesterday b/c Paul asked us not to write in his name. - Modestexcuse, on 11/05/2008, -12/+114He didn't eat his meat.
/Floyd - Toddd, on 11/06/2008, -12/+112Don't blame me either, but I didn't vote for Ron Paul.
While I feel that he deserves two consecutive terms as our nation's president more than anyone, I was too scared of a McCain/Palin administration to vote third party. (factions/partisan politics are the death of democracy)
Mr. Paul, if you have it in you... I will support you 100% of the way through another campaign. If not... PLEASE find someone who you can feel confident in endorsing to carry on with the same ideals, wisdom and temperament as you so graciously have. - Ryfi, on 11/05/2008, -14/+110Ron Paul is against abortion and gay marriage personally but wants to give the States the power to chose. There are spill over costs associated with both ideas and Dr. Paul realizes it is unfair to enforce one view on the entire country which leaves those who benefit from having their ideas implemented without burden of the costs. If states chose, those who support those ideas pay the costs associated with them and everyone wins. Maybe you should read his book before you start talking smack about him.
- MalarkeyPN, on 11/05/2008, -15/+111So sad it's almost cute.
- danconia, on 11/06/2008, -0/+95For the record this picture is VERY old. Think like almost a year old. But yeah it's a depressing picture. Notice his sneakers, he keeps it real.
- artsike, on 11/05/2008, -9/+103Aww Ron. :(
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -2/+95not if it was cast for the candidate of his choice
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -25/+118if you would have paid attention you would have noticed that while he is against these things he took the time to learn about how our government works and quickly found that the president cannot change laws regarding these matters, therefore his opinion on these things is moot.
and as far as respecting privacy, obama voted FOR the fisa act. - Fracture98, on 11/05/2008, -17/+108Then you should be in the pic.
