- Boogiedude, on 06/30/2009, -1/+180Fantastic! This has made my day!
- skyjis6, on 07/01/2009, -5/+143Prison Roomie - What are you in for?
Gregory McCalium - I tried to rob an old man with a knife, he beat my #$%^ and then called the cops on me. Should I pull my pants down and face the wall now or later?
Prison Roomie - Now - Fleeek, on 06/30/2009, -1/+112another reason to never ***** with old people
- chuckerton, on 06/30/2009, -0/+106"Photos of the scene looked more like a murder scene."
Not only is he 72, but he's also just 5 feet 5 inches tall. - tacotomato, on 07/01/2009, -1/+99Pow! Right in the kisser.
- dinuguan, on 07/01/2009, -0/+80"DODGED the knife as the yob lunged at him in his hallway, FEINTED and DECKED him with two massive right hooks"
thank you The Sun for emphasizing those words, WHAT A G. - Phases78, on 06/30/2009, -1/+74ah ha! ah ha ha!
- rebotfc, on 07/01/2009, -4/+68Good on him, but if you slash a knife at a 73 year old you should go to prison for at least 10 years not 4 and a half.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -1/+61Probably tried to take his TV while Matlock was on. Bad move.
- Elijah17, on 07/01/2009, -0/+47Git off my lawn!
*snarl/scowl* - skyjis6, on 07/01/2009, -4/+51DouglasQ... Your last attempt at humor "Last time I saw the words 'sir', 'suicide' and 'fapping' in the same sentence my great-uncle got deported" was a colossal fail. If that's what good joke structure looks like I don't want any part of it. Sorry for "not being concise" with my response.
- twoblink, on 07/01/2009, -0/+38Meet my left hand Thunder.. and my right hand Lightning. Who says Lightning doesn't strike twice?
Who's your daddy? err.. I mean who's your grandpa? - 4rp4n3t, on 07/01/2009, -1/+38They serve duck in prison now? Who knew....
- wyrdness, on 07/01/2009, -0/+35The Sun is written for people who can't read without moving their lips.
- alfredscakes, on 06/30/2009, -2/+34Ha ha brilliant but I should add having studied and practised the noble sport they were two good right hooks the first to the eyes for the blind and then the jaw for the knockdown - brilliant textbook stuff.
- RickyTheRiot, on 07/01/2009, -3/+31Pow! Right in the kisser!
- Russelllucid, on 07/01/2009, -1/+27Its format has nothing to do with it? Yes the Sun might be gutter press and especially stretches its celebrity news too far but this is factual, old man and former boxer decks scum...
Great! - dixta, on 07/01/2009, -1/+21To the old guy: You're awesome!
To the perp: Hope you enjoy sucking d**k in prison, worthless piece of crap. - Jeepy, on 07/01/2009, -0/+19"I still got some stuff in the basement" -Rocky Balboa
- jwkpiano1, on 07/01/2009, -5/+23You guys all realize that The Sun is a tabloid, right? Funny, nonetheless.
- adycowley, on 07/01/2009, -0/+15good on ya matey
- supertom, on 07/01/2009, -6/+21Pow! Right in the kisser!
- SDawg, on 07/01/2009, -0/+15Well here is a second article on that incident:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politic ...
Just because The Sun is considered a tabloid does not mean that there's not any truth to some of their stories. And Yes it is very funny that the robber got his face pounded.
From the UK Tele article: "I just punched him as hard as I could and he went down like a sack of spuds"
LMAO. - Inceptious, on 07/01/2009, -3/+17Thanks, but we're happy without having half our population in prison.
- jpate86, on 07/01/2009, -0/+13I see what you are getting at, but only about 1% of the US population is in jail and we account for about 24% of the world's prison population. Nothing to be proud of, but stop being so dramatic
- yakfo, on 07/01/2009, -1/+13grandpa said knock you out!
- smashblu, on 06/30/2009, -1/+13Alright, put 'em up! Put 'em up! Are you having a Bully day? I'm having a bully day. Is everyone having a bully day? Oh thank God we live in this time!
- D3L3T3D, on 07/01/2009, -0/+12A proper newspaper has the naked girl on the front page
- bhuntsbarger, on 07/01/2009, -0/+10I live on the corner of Thunder and Lightning... (no *****)
- kaelyiesta, on 07/01/2009, -0/+9So most of your life never happened?
- damack, on 07/01/2009, -0/+8Tell me about it man.
A lot of people under estimate old folks that have studied the art of pugilism are capable of but anybody that goes to a boxing gym and has a senior trainer will tell you the art of boxing is much more about technique than raw power and strenght.
You really shouldn't mess with somebody who knows how to box like this idiot found out. He's lucky he didn't get beat any worse. - JoeQuixote, on 07/01/2009, -1/+9We need stricter fist control laws. The fact that this one time a person was saved by owning a fist does not offset the fact that many more are punched every day by criminals with too easy access to fists.
- charlietuna, on 07/01/2009, -0/+7You realize that this article is not political analysis, right? Classic police blotter story. Perfect for The Sun.
- danthepiercer, on 07/01/2009, -0/+7and THAT is why i still talk to my grandfather respectfully!
- diggerado, on 07/01/2009, -0/+7Amazing that he's still at that level of effectiveness after all those years. No "buts" about it, this is a great story. Wish we'd see more like this and I second the comment that the Judge should get some credit for not letting the criminal turn this around on the old dude.
- evildaz, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6This is great, read it in the Metro this morning, but it was only a small article, but it made me smile then. And kudos to the Judge for telling him he "got what he deserved". To many times the victim is made into the criminal for defending themselves and ending up with a GBH charge and sued by the felon. No doubt this scum bag will try to raise a "no win no fee" compensation case against Frank for daring to beat him up in his own home.
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6sign me up
- 1jaxstate1, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6Daaaammmn! You got knocked the ***** out!
- damnshoes, on 07/01/2009, -0/+6A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES
- irvin666, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5Guy seemed to age well too. Look at him on his younger and present pic.
- Mykonos08, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5a real life Gran Turino moment. Nice.
- ASSASSYN360, on 07/01/2009, -0/+5Two rights to the face and he went ***** up!
- dazparkour, on 07/01/2009, -2/+7Burying you for mentioning ethnic minorities.
- kjones555, on 07/01/2009, -1/+6Pow! Right in the kisser!
- Quartzblade, on 07/01/2009, -4/+9Actually he 71, and the article clearly states this, and SOMEONE is terrible at reading.
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -1/+6ha ha ha ha!! will definitely forget to rob in future...
- stevealford, on 07/01/2009, -0/+4Won't someone think of the children?!
- CoreyTamas, on 07/01/2009, -0/+4Stories like this shouldn't make me nearly as happy as they do.
- sportbikepilot, on 07/01/2009, -2/+6and he didn't need a gun!
- bhuntsbarger, on 07/01/2009, -0/+4LOL. I know a guy that's about that age. He wasn't a boxer but he was a fireman and I'm 28 and I wouldnt wanna cross him!
