- Alfonzo, on 03/09/2008, -1/+11Wow, my heart goes out to you, man
- BOFH2, on 03/09/2008, -0/+7Edit - never mind what you said is not worth the effort I put into it.
- thepoliticalcat, on 03/09/2008, -1/+8This is simply untenable. Unconscionable. Thanks for publicizing the information.
- MetalLizard, on 03/09/2008, -2/+8There isn't much worse than being a Quadriplegic. Now he gets sent back to India, has his laptop taken away, and his family has abandoned him. If anyone is living in hell right now, it's this man. Up against this dude, there is no room to complain.
- goodkidyo, on 03/09/2008, -1/+6more diggs = more publicity. Dugg.
- B3000, on 03/09/2008, -0/+4I think that, if your friends had wanted to, they probably could have stuck around illegally, avoiding the authorities and hanging out in front of home depot hoping to get scooped up for day labor jobs. I'm guessing they were law abiding people who didn't feel like living the life of an illegal and that is why they are gone. I'm not saying that there is any fairness or justice in the way our country currently handles the immigration problem - because there isn't - I just think comparing your friends to people who are essentially third world refugees is a bit off the mark.
- Nudar, on 03/09/2008, -1/+5Took it from them? It was sparsely populated and they lost it in a war they instigated. all is fair in love and war moron.
- Lutremi, on 03/09/2008, -3/+6I wouldn't say the same out of personal experience. I'm Asian and I get treated pretty much the same in my school as any other kid.
- rey1867, on 03/09/2008, -0/+3If you want to help him out, Times of India is accepting donations through post at the moment. A lot of people are asking for ways to donate online but I dont know whether they will create some sort of paypal delivery system or not.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/opinions/284834 ... - B3000, on 03/09/2008, -3/+5Actually, much of the American southwest was actually part of the OLD Mexico (y'know, before we took it from them), so what would that make it now? The New Old Mexico?
- mhuggins, on 03/09/2008, -2/+4Your FACE is *****. Oh snap, OWNED!
- stephant, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Asians are loved by most intelligent Americans. They come here, assimilate to the culture better than most Americans do and raise the academic standards through ridiculously hard work. Even if they don't pursue academia they just seem to have more ambition than most Americans. Asians do it right for sure.
- Nudar, on 03/09/2008, -1/+2You're an illegal alien from asia?
- stephant, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Just so I understand, everyone here is criticizing India (and this man's family) and not the US, right? We were the ones providing medical care from what I can tell. When he was sent back to his home land because his visa expired, he was abandoned by his family and government. You're not suggesting that we did this to him are you? Man, I hope not. It's not completely clear who is being criticized from some of the comments.
- rey1867, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Why would anyone criticize his family or India ? His family can't afford any treatment and he is getting free care in the government hospital. Can't really blame the US either because they just followed the rules (although a little lenience would be nice). It is a story about a guy whose gone through a lot of ***** but still has a smile on his face.
- chawkie, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Holy *****...you may be the leading candidate for douchebag of the year...
- stephant, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1You do realize that almost all political boundaries are a result of some war at some time in history. No one has an absolute right to any land. In the end, people earn their land. Sadly they usually earn it through conflict but you're not going to change thousands of years of human history by being idealistic.
I kind of wonder if you own any land in the US. If so, do you think you stole it from native americans? Just asking. - stephant, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Well said. His friends were probably pretty decent people that made a hard choice but decided not to break the law. They should be at the front of the line for citizenship if they apply for it in the future.
- chawkie, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Because we don't give a *****...
- lukas88, on 03/09/2008, -4/+3It is because America is the new mexico.
I, for one, welcome our new sombrero wearing overlords - Emused, on 03/09/2008, -2/+1I see by your profile, professor, that you have the blog thing down to a science yourself !! Or have we missed that GEM.Give the guy a break. Many people with much greater capacity achieve significantly less, your comment fits into that category, and if this poor chap was capable , I would think he would tell you to take a long "sip and puff" on his Johnson.
- WeDontGiveAFuck, on 03/09/2008, -4/+0This is damn cruel!
- WeDontGiveAFuck, on 03/09/2008, -6/+0Why am I getting automatically digged down after the comment is posted?
- Aynatix, on 03/09/2008, -8/+1he is a fag, ***** him. He only has like 4 posts.. ***** this guy. Who cares about Indians.. ***** YOU GUY.
- inactive, on 03/09/2008, -16/+1You can't exactly take this story in all seriousness considering he's using..."Sip-N-Puff" ....If I were him I'd just give up and die.
- inactive, on 03/08/2008, -18/+1Meh... the blog was a ***** anyways...
