Ok, so let's say this asswipe starts his life of crime at 15 years old. That's 4 arrests on average per year??? Why is this guy on the streets? Only in America could this crap happen. Make me embarrassed to be an American (but not as much as having GWB as our current President is) - 4UIDigg, on 12/31/2008, -0/+1Yeah, the judge can lecture the drug addict all he wants, but unless the drug addict gets rehabilitation, the judge might as well teach his dog algebra.
- allocate, on 12/30/2008, -1/+2My gf clerked for a judge that would lecture all the DUI people at their sentencing. I think this was probably fairly mild by comparison. Still though, it could do some good. Our system is WAY too focused on punishment as opposed to rehabilitation.
