- starphish, on 11/22/2008, -0/+81I ***** you not, I was in a near identical accident. I mean, literally. I was driving late at night going about 75 and fell asleep at the wheel. My car went off the side of the road, and when I woke up I was in the median of the interstate. I panicked and steered the car too sharply. When I got to the pavement, my car rolled REALLY fast like in this video. I was thrown out of it just like these guys. I smashed the hell out of my hip and pelvis. I looked like a mangled mess. I spent 3 weeks in the hospital, and 3 weeks in a nursing home. Lots of internal bleeding from my hip and pelvis, some long surgeries. Went from a wheelchair, to a walker, to crutches, to a cane. I now walk only with an ever-so-slight limp that people don't usually notice. I have 5 metal plates in my hip and pelvis now. This was 10 years ago when I was 28.

Then they need to survive the fall since they went 15-20 feet into the air. So I mean there was plenty of opportunity for one of them to smash their head or back. I say best case broken bones in the arms and legs. Worst case paralyzed or dead via head impact with a lot of broken bones.

When I get my own vehicle and license, if you're not wearing your damn seatbelt, you're getting out.
