- SpectralSounds, on 11/25/2008, -0/+59"After we conducted this interview in Asia, Joran contacted us again. He told us he had been lying during that interview and that he had not sold Natalee Holloway to a stranger. Joran says he made the story up."
This guy is a major league douchebag. - jrhasty, on 11/25/2008, -2/+57I think this guy is a sad excuse for a human. This is yet another attempt to gain recognition at the expense of the Holloway family as if they have not been through enough. He,his friends and his father should have to pay for their involvement in this case...I feel really bad for the family and pray that justice will be served. My only hope is that he gets NO MORE AIR TIME.
- inactive, on 11/25/2008, -3/+54Sad if it's true.
- AmyVernon, on 11/25/2008, -1/+47It would be nice to just actually know what happened.
- inactive, on 11/25/2008, -0/+45Somehow, I wouldn't be surprised.
- doublefelix, on 11/26/2008, -2/+43After about 10 pages of chat transcripts, this nugget to end it:
'After we conducted this interview in Asia, Joran contacted us again. He told us he had been lying during that interview and that he had not sold Natalee Holloway to a stranger. Joran says he made the story up.'
That is some fine reporting Lew! - Cglass, on 11/26/2008, -9/+45People, it's called a joke. A tasteless one, but I applaud you nonetheless snea.
- jecrawf, on 11/25/2008, -11/+47Some of us have been saying this from the beginning, that she was sold into slavery. Now this creep seems to think he can come out of the woodwork with some revelation. He wants to tell evedryone what happened but only certain things. We should sell his ugly ass into slavery and then we'll see how much he's willing to talk. A little torture never hurts a genuinely bad person, and he is. HIs father and friends too that helped out and covered up for him.
- bananasluggy, on 11/26/2008, -0/+31Am I the only person who finds it a bit strange that a commercial TV program plays this out like some sort of teaser drama, complete with, "We'll be RIGHT BACK after these commercial messages!!!" crap?
It's a woman's life, not an excuse to sell ad space and drum up ratings. - snea, on 11/25/2008, -46/+76Yea and unfortunately she isn't worth half what I paid.
- btgoss, on 11/25/2008, -0/+27Joran has already retracted this most recent "confession."
It just plays to easily into his most recent trouble, and into what is the popular feeling on Aruba right now.
It is a shame the true story is never going to be told.
I hope he finally ends up paying for the way he is leading his life. - skiner24, on 11/25/2008, -2/+28I watched his interview with Greta on Fox News, what an emotionless mother F*^*er
- michaelpinto, on 11/25/2008, -2/+25It sounds like a cover story to cover up what happened, but we can't really know. What I do know is that see Aruba ads plastered all over the subways of NYC with a mega ad campaign — until there's some real progress on this case I wouldn't feel safe letting anyone I know travel there.
- ozymandias2012, on 11/25/2008, -1/+23I never knew it was so easy to sell someone.
- xister, on 11/26/2008, -0/+22...and a pathological liar.
- BabyWookie, on 11/26/2008, -3/+24Internet Tough Guy alert!
- nunu4u, on 11/26/2008, -0/+19There was video of him in Thailand recently, arranging for girls to be sent to Amsterdam for prostitution. Some were in college and
thought they were going to be part tme dancers for big $$. He left the country before the Thai government could arrest him. - SSUK, on 11/26/2008, -0/+17I think the less of his genes carried into the future is for the best.
- everfresh59, on 11/26/2008, -2/+18I bet Jack Bauer would make that ***** talk the truth....
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+15Remember that hidden video where he admitted she went into some sort of epileptic fit and then dumped her body in the water using a boat?
- wonderbriefs, on 11/26/2008, -0/+15I think this is one of those "better off dead" situations. I can only imagine the life of a sex slave is worse than death.
- EasyE888, on 11/26/2008, -2/+15He's a ***** liar.
- Stroggoth, on 11/26/2008, -0/+12He already admitted to a "friend" (taped by a hidden camera) that he saw her convulse and then stop breathing, so he panicked and had his friend take them out into the water with a banana boat and put her out to sea.
It explains perfectly about his shoes, etc. I think he was telling the truth then - because he didn't know he was being recorded and he was totally straightfoward about it. They call testimony given when you have no reason to lie probative and admissible. - capnawesome, on 11/26/2008, -6/+17This case has been in the news for 3 YEARS! Make it stop!
- atchon, on 11/26/2008, -6/+16one of the better comedy stations around
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+9After reading up on his family's background in the area, it would appear their high status is definitely keeping this case unfairly biased against the truth.
- TheManikin, on 11/26/2008, -0/+9--Summary--
Joran Van Der Sloot is a piece of trash. - Pyroteq, on 11/26/2008, -1/+10Big man over the internet.
- RedHeadedFreak, on 11/26/2008, -1/+9Yes, it's a sad mystery. But my question is, why the hell is this news all the time? I hate the exploitation of a real bad situation just to get some soap opera ratings going. It would be nice if Greta helped solve the case, but that's not her job. I think all Journalists have forgotten their jobs.
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -5/+13I wonder if you'd be saying the same thing, if your sister was that "underage moron"?
Get lost, *****. - AllHereTruth, on 11/26/2008, -2/+10Yes. One hot girl goes missing and it DOMINATES the MSM for years.
How many stories are they ignoring to concentrate on one college girl. Its ***** up. - firebirdx01, on 11/26/2008, -0/+8It's certainly possible- kidnappings like this happen all the time in some parts of Europe- but given that Joran has changed his story about it several times, he's probably lying to cover something else up.
- Dabaum, on 11/26/2008, -0/+8Yeah, I've been to Aruba. I stayed at the beautiful Marriott, in which I felt extremely safe because of all the hotel strip security. However, outside of the touristy hotel spots, there was little police presence and everything kind of had a shady feel to it. I never really felt threatened, but I never really felt safe either.
But hey, there are ***** up people everywhere. But the Aruba police force failed conducting themselves in the midst of the world's scrutiny. - inactive, on 11/26/2008, -2/+10TLDR
- patpl22391, on 11/26/2008, -5/+12I'm surprised he hasn't been kidnapped and killed by a good Samaritan.
- bowlagoat, on 11/26/2008, -11/+18Her parents now have to live through all of it again...Pray for them.
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7The Aruban police have already established themselves as the face of incompetence. I wouldn't even consider going there.
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -2/+9If he got killed in a really horrible way, I'd be okay with that.
- EtherGnat, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7A horse needs to wake up with this guy's head in his bed.
- YEEK, on 11/26/2008, -2/+9Maybe there is a legitimate use for waterboarding.
- WoollyMittens, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7This is a hoax. He confessed to dutch journalists that he was ***** with Fox News: http://www.geenstijl.nl/mt/archieven/2008/11/joran ...
Now what he was doing with little girls in Thailand in his self imposed exile is a whole different thing. I hope the Thai police locks him up sometime. That'd be a suitable punishment. - MrJ777, on 11/26/2008, -2/+9I've thought she was either killed or sold into the sex trade the entire time.
And it happens daily. I think the entire process of either is disgusting, I am not gonna devote my attention to just one case because it was a attractive upper class American for a change. - ryborg, on 11/26/2008, -0/+7While I agree this guy is a waste of carbon, the air time is the reason an investigation continues to be financed. As long as there is public interest, this guy will not be left alone. I just hope for the Holloway family there is closure, and the truth comes out -- one way or another.
- inactive, on 11/26/2008, -0/+6Is that what you'll do to Joran, blow him?
- Ric33r, on 11/26/2008, -5/+11Jack Bauer would have found her in 24hours
"Where is she" *waterboard*
"WHERE IS SHE!!!" *waterboard**waterboard**waterboard**waterboard*
*confession*
*Profit* - inactive, on 11/26/2008, -2/+8Since he keeps changing his story, they should lock him up, and let him sit until he can make a story that he can stick with, and can be verified.
- MendotaLee, on 11/26/2008, -4/+10It's a pain in the ass that VAN DER SLOOT is being interviewed by VAN SUSTEREN. I wish they would give out new last names in scientology... at least then it would help society a little, seeing as how greta van susteren has been doing this story ultra intensely since it broke...
- thelostemperor, on 11/26/2008, -0/+5Her stupidity makes the perpetrators no less guilty. Her stupidity makes her fate no less tragic. She should be blamed because other people suck? Get your priorities straight.
- Rivetgeek, on 11/26/2008, -1/+6$50 and immunity from prosecution and ill make him a woman and sell him into slavery myself
