NYPD traffic cop parks in front of fire hydrant for lunch watch!

- sungoddess808, on 04/20/2008, -9/+381Why did she park illegally next to a fire hydrant while dining? Probably because she thinks she is above the law (which she is not) and she doesn't have the stamina to walk her fat ass from a legal parking spot to the cafe.
- mraustin1337, on 04/20/2008, -53/+46The guy making the video is kind of a moron. It's not really intelligent rhetoric to call someone a "*****." However this officer should be reprimanded for not only parking in front of the fire hydrant but flipping someone off. Not befitting of a law enforcement officer.
- ligyron, on 04/20/2008, -34/+19Indeed. I thought it was good at first, but it went down hill towards the end. He's just another juvenile troll

- MrMax99, on 04/20/2008, -6/+53Unfortunately, a police officer can do whatever you cant stop him/her from doing.
- blipblipbeep, on 04/21/2008, -0/+5Well then, I can do the same as long as there r no cops around i can do what ever i want.
- ayeroxor, on 04/21/2008, -2/+2I think that logic stops at the point you start using letters as words...
- crzdmn, on 04/21/2008, -0/+9Actually as a citizen you can have a police car towed as long as it is in violation of parking laws/permits etc. I've watched it happen in NY before, albeit not NYC but it was still funny as hell.
Cop parked his car in a private parking lot and then went for a stroll down the street because he wanted to issue an arrest warrant without warning. The owner of the establishment called the tow company next door and had them towed. Probably was one of the funniest things I've seen happen to a cop, right up there with their patrol car getting hit for pulling ME over on an overpass with limited visibility.
HAHAHAHA- Black6x, on 04/21/2008, -4/+1Private parking is a little different. If the officer were in the place while in the line of duty, and probably against teh owner, it might have flown.
- blipblipbeep, on 04/21/2008, -0/+5Well then, I can do the same as long as there r no cops around i can do what ever i want.
- HandsomeRuss, on 04/20/2008, -64/+5It is not illegal for an emergency vehicle to do this. They are exempt from traffic laws.
Go back to playing Halo 3 now.- pintomp3, on 04/20/2008, -1/+86they can run red lights too... in cases of emergency. getting lunch is not an emergency.
- BlackCow, on 04/20/2008, -3/+63For her it probably is!
*zing*
- BlackCow, on 04/20/2008, -3/+63For her it probably is!
- grimw, on 04/20/2008, -0/+37Cops are never exempt from traffic laws, even when their flashing lights are on. You know why? Because it's the law that allows this.
They may only speed, run red lights, or "violate" other common traffic laws when their flashing lights are flashing. At other times, they have no legal basis and can in fact be ticketed, fined, or whatever else. If you video tape them doing these things without their lights, they can indeed be punished.
Next time, don't be an idiot. - chrgrose, on 04/20/2008, -0/+28In an emergency circumstance I would agree. The sudden urge to go on a dounut binge is not an emergency.
- pintomp3, on 04/20/2008, -1/+86they can run red lights too... in cases of emergency. getting lunch is not an emergency.

- rekleiner, on 04/21/2008, -2/+7No wonder crime is so high in NY. With Fat asses like this for cops, who is chasing the criminals?
- Railz, on 04/21/2008, -2/+2Crime rate in NYC is actually one of lowest in the USA.
- HeDiggMe, on 04/21/2008, -6/+5Not defending the officer, but this cameraman is a pompous *****. An arrogant tone like his is the very reason people don't like cops who behave in the same deriding manner.
- sinembarg0, on 04/21/2008, -2/+12Did anyone notice that the guy filming was a bit of a douche bag? I mean if you're gonna make a video of someone breaking the law, you could at least do it elegantly. The part where he is talking to the retired coplady, he could've been much more polite on the face of things, and actually be much more rude and damaging by doing it the right way. Saying that he has the right to film in public would be good, saying that his minor offense of filming in public is much less harmful to the general welfare then the cops parking in front of the hydrant, etc. Speak softly and carry a big stick, you will go far. (Convey meaning with your words, it works better)
- willynilly, on 04/21/2008, -6/+3Wouldn't you rather have the cop park in an illegal space rather than take up a legal space that civilians need?
THINK ABOUT IT.- arobar, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1I'm sure when your home is burning down because the fire crews couldn't get to the hydrant, you'll be saying "That's OK, that officer freed up a parking space for a civilian."
- mraustin1337, on 04/20/2008, -53/+46The guy making the video is kind of a moron. It's not really intelligent rhetoric to call someone a "*****." - sgtpppr, on 04/21/2008, -1/+13The same thing goes for speeding and traffic violations. I've seen motorcycle cops doing well over 90 on the interstate here (not pulling anyone over) and been cut off on more than one occasion to the point I thought I was being pulled over. Instead, they just needed to get off on the next exit. Can you imagine what would happen if you accidentally hit and killed a motorcycle cop because they cut you off and you couldn't avoid them? At least in california, they sure don't abide by any traffic laws at all. Nothing like a cop getting onto the I-5 doing 80+ and crossing over all 5 lanes to get in the fast lane for no other reason except that it's 'legal' for them to do so.
- knarg, on 04/21/2008, -8/+1That's not a very strong argument is it?
"You shouldn't kill people, but don't mind me, shooting all these people over here."
Your argument has no "magnetism," meaning that why would you will upon others action which you would not will unto yourself, on your own accord.
Go back to school.- bossm4n, on 04/21/2008, -0/+8WTF are you babbling about? I quoted a very old colloquial phrase. If you have never heard that or do not understand the meaning or context, might I suggest YOU go back to school.

- radsprack, on 04/21/2008, -6/+7This guy is stupid. Jimmy Justice, pfft. I don't know the laws and how police vehicles are marked in New York, but the ones in Texas have a little word above the the numbers that says "EXEMPT". I'm not actually condoning that type of behavior to go and park in front of a fire hydrant especially to go and take lunch of all things, but I watched some of his other videos and for the most part, a cop needs to be able to get in and out of a place as quickly as possible so they can get back to doing there job. Now whether or not they are actually doing that, I don't know. I sure as hell hope so though.
- ZiggyDaZigster, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3understandable, but if it's just for a mid-day lunch........ it's like..... emergency? How can the LAW be "EXEMPT" from that?
- sampanc, on 04/22/2008, -0/+3That's fine but it said on her uniform that she's a traffic cop. I mean come on, what emergencies are they even involved in that need them to be exempt from the rules of the road? I agree that the guy was arrogant and annoying and probably somewhat stupid as well but that fat cop does not deserve to be exempt from anything let alone a 5 min walk to the donut shop.
- rootryan, on 04/20/2008, -13/+17that guy was annoying.

- apollomurga, on 04/25/2008, -0/+1i know what the ***** a hybrid is...the way the guy was stating it in his airhead tone made it sound like the law of wearing a seatbelt only applied to cars that ran on gas...

- SRSco, on 04/20/2008, -20/+3No.
- Salomas, on 04/20/2008, -16/+2The very least cops deserve is a good parking spot. They put up with enough *****, the last thing they need is some dickless ***** giving them migraines about fire hydrants.

- Diderotten, on 04/20/2008, -4/+5Nobody brought Paul up until you, douche-bag. Contrary to popular opinion, not everyone on Digg is reactionary and responds screaming 'Help us almighty Ron!' I'm for him, but that's besides the point. Nobody said we're living in a police state here. The police officer is obviously in the wrong, and action shouild be taken accordingly, which isn't much ayway. Only $115 + whatever the courts decide he should get for harassing a police offcer and getting flipped off.
- SRSco, on 04/20/2008, -5/+2You should read Digg more. Every article about police is negative and has a million comments about us being in a Police State. And then if you click on the commenters' profiles, you will find that 90% of them have Ron Paul's face up as their favorite candidate.
So even if I was the first to bring it up here. It's been done elsewhere unfacetiously by true Ron Paul supporters.
Fact of the matter is: what this cop did isn't a big deal. Cops are generally good people (including this traffic cop). There is no Police State on the horizon. The guy with the camera is a complete moron. So is Ron Paul.- Diderotten, on 04/20/2008, -3/+3I agree what the cop did isn't a big deal. Virtually nobody brings up Ron Paul nowadays in fear of getting buried. Obama gets mentioned every ***** thread, and they get diggs in the hundreds. If you you can't see that the whole Ronbot thing was exaggerated, you're deluded. If his face shows up everywhere, that's fine. That just means he's getting popular support on Digg.

- theradical, on 04/20/2008, -48/+9Although it sets a bad example, I don't really see the problem. Had a fire erupted anywhere nearby, the officer certainly would have moved. The law is to keep people without any priority or any idea from blocking off essential services. So just relax.
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -3/+6considering the animosity between the nypd and the nyfd, i'm not convinced she would have complied with procedure quite as readily as you might insist.
- twiztidsinz, on 04/20/2008, -2/+27Next time I get a ticket for parking anywhere near a Hydrant I'll use that line... "If there was a fire I would have moved my car"... lets see how far that gets me.
- theradical, on 04/20/2008, -13/+1Why, are you a police officer?
- bjtitus, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2So how is it that police officers have any better "sense of a fire" than anyone else? Lets say the building next door went up in flames and she didn't even know about it. Would she be able to move her car then?
- theradical, on 04/20/2008, -13/+1Why, are you a police officer?
- chromerium, on 04/20/2008, -3/+6So ... its ok to break the law if you're a police officer and know what the law was intended to avoid and therefore make sure that you avoid that thing, rather than just, not break the law?
Next time you're being beat down because you were 'resisting' arrest, after not being able to provide ID or something else like that that has been manufactured, and it's all "legal", you'll maybe think about what you said and realise how ***** stupid you were.- theradical, on 04/21/2008, -4/+2Oh, it's no worry for me. I live in Canada.
- 14justice, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Yeah, they'll only taser you to death up there.
- theradical, on 04/21/2008, -4/+2Oh, it's no worry for me. I live in Canada.
- meed, on 04/21/2008, -0/+6The issue is that this police officer speciffically enforces the same laws she broke. Law enforcement is not above the law. Think about it.
- lickmylovepump, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3so her 'priority' would be FEEDING HER FAT ASS another sandwich?
- dmark77, on 04/20/2008, -23/+9A bit stale... we've seen this on the front page before.
- badjoke, on 04/20/2008, -0/+7I haven't.
- MtheoryX, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2You do realize that you're just as annoying as the "only X diggs and front page??" people, right?
- dmark77, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2Man, check your history - you troll after anyone you don't agree with.
- dmark77, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2Man, check your history - you troll after anyone you don't agree with.
- Grumps, on 04/20/2008, -6/+91Dont the PD have a regular physical standard inspection? She look like she could barely move a feat extra, what's more keeping us safe.
- SquareHipster, on 04/20/2008, -3/+11I'm sure the PD does, for front line officers. But I'm also pretty sure that parking enforcement and by-law officers are not chasing down the bad guys.
- daizaru, on 04/20/2008, -0/+5Where I live, you pretty much have to pass a physical and other tests going in... but once you're in your job is pretty much protected.
- mille716, on 04/21/2008, -0/+5I think her physical condition is why she's only a parking cop.
/apologies to any parking cops on digg- Mike89, on 04/21/2008, -0/+4Don't apologise to them, ***** them.
- wheelsee, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3big girls need love too
- Paul1245, on 04/21/2008, -0/+4What? Apologizing? Whats wrong with you... everyone hates parking cops. Ill bet parking cops even hate parking cops.
- Mike89, on 04/21/2008, -0/+4Don't apologise to them, ***** them.
- TomTruelle, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2The excess adrenaline pumping through her veins would probably give her a coronary in say a high speed chase.
- internetwinner, on 04/21/2008, -1/+0All firemen/women and police officers are protected from further physical testing after they have completed their preliminary testing. Physical condition has little to nothing to do with job placement. As you can see, she has her sergeant stripes. This is just proof that you can be a fatass and still succeed in the field of law enforcement.
- matschig, on 04/20/2008, -59/+5The camera man is an arrogant prick who needs the shaft of my penis firmly pressed against the mucous covered lining of his large intestine.
- Emnsta, on 04/20/2008, -2/+19Are you retired NYPD?
- dohidied, on 04/20/2008, -1/+7No, then he would have used a toilet plunger.
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -3/+10let me guess, you're a retired corrections officer?
- Charun, on 04/20/2008, -1/+6gay
- 80hd, on 04/20/2008, -1/+8You know, I don't understand at all how the hell you thought you'd one-up him by using the same overwrought tone as that tool did.
- Emnsta, on 04/20/2008, -2/+19Are you retired NYPD?
- crowbar77, on 04/20/2008, -14/+2Funny video but was it really worth the time it took to stake out the restaurant?
- 80hd, on 04/20/2008, -1/+1think Dwight Schrute. Only real - and worse
- anagoge, on 04/20/2008, -31/+11The guy was pretty much asking to be led away in cuffs, to be fair.
- BillMoocho, on 04/20/2008, -0/+25For what? He's not doing anything against the law.
- Slick50, on 04/20/2008, -3/+8Yes he is. Didn't you hear what the retired "*****" said? "Because of the terrorism" I guess you can be arrested for anything now because of "the terrorism".
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -0/+12how is that "fair"?
let alone, hold up on a legal basis?
the fact that cops might pull that kind of ***** is why people equate cops to lawyers on their *****-lists.
- BillMoocho, on 04/20/2008, -0/+25For what? He's not doing anything against the law.
- mdaize, on 04/20/2008, -13/+9I like how in one of the videos, there is a firetruck on the job and the cop doesnt even bother to notice...

- pak314, on 04/20/2008, -0/+32I though that meant exempt from paying registration fees with the dmv.
- agentlame, on 04/20/2008, -0/+18You are correct. It's just in regards to regulatory fees.

- sleeknerve, on 04/20/2008, -19/+13Theres plenty of good cops out there. My friends dad was shot dead in the line of duty and yet i hear people criticize cops every day for using a tazer or doing something bad, sometimes, you need to get the full of the situation to understand it. People out there dont understand, theres always going to be a few bad cops that slip through. This shouldn't make the rest of em any less important. This woman should be fired but its not like we need to scold every cop out there for being a cop.
- jaydoj, on 04/20/2008, -0/+12I feel for your friends dad, I am in school to become a Paramedic/Firefighter. I respect public servants much more now that I have seen what they go through, and more specifically what I'm about to go through if I make the cut for the F.D. Bad cops will spoil the bunch, but there are a few decent cops out there.
- SRSco, on 04/20/2008, -3/+6You act like decent cops are a rarity. Bad cops are not the rule but the exception to the rule. Don't let a bunch of basement dwellers on Digg tell you otherwise.
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -2/+3and cops should employ the same consideration before discharging their taser or utilizing some other form of less-than-lethal force.
understand?

- zephyr42, on 04/20/2008, -1/+6I'm sure we have the full situation here.
- pintomp3, on 04/20/2008, -5/+5just like teacher's unions, cops get a bad rap because they often protect the bad ones.
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 04/20/2008, -3/+8***** that, cops get off on micro managing ***** like where you park or how fast you drive, the when your car is broken into they are too "undermanned" to show up and do anything of value.
- Typhoon2009, on 04/20/2008, -6/+5Welcome to Digg, where cops and soldiers are considered the scum of the earth by 90% of its users. You and I are a dying breed, the so-called "non-dunces" who recognize that a bad apple shouldn't spoil the whole tree.
- jugger74, on 04/20/2008, -2/+2To qualify as a "non dunce" you may have to open your eyes and see that America has been turned into a police state and these scumbag degenerates can not be allowed to get away with it. It is called a first step, there are more people in prison in America than China for Christ sake.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarceration#In_the_ ...
Wake the f**k up you DUNCE!! - NonLeftistDiggr, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Is it really so much to suggest cops follow their own rules?
- jugger74, on 04/20/2008, -2/+2To qualify as a "non dunce" you may have to open your eyes and see that America has been turned into a police state and these scumbag degenerates can not be allowed to get away with it. - daizaru, on 04/20/2008, -0/+6I don't think anyone would refute the existence of good police officers, unfortunately more and more there seem to be more obvious bad cops and very few of the good ones get any acknowledgment they deserve. Cops are also just "the man" and a lot of people can't stand it, even when you technically deserve getting a speeding ticket nobody likes it and blames the officer. It's a rough job.
- buckrogers1965, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2Yeah, dammit, the 90% bad cops give the 10% good cops a bad name.

- mbonzo531, on 04/20/2008, -11/+36you have to be the anti-christ to be a traffic cop... imagine if your job was to make hundreds of people miserable every day.
- IpwnZnoobs, on 04/20/2008, -2/+9imagine if there was a group of people who prevented people from doing crimes, and kept drugs off the street.
what a world that would be- mbonzo531, on 04/21/2008, -0/+7Because when I think of American heros I think of the Traffic Cop who tickets your car and kills all those drug dealers with her batton.
- breezytrees, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Batton.. more commonly known as anti-drug dealer device.
- centerblack, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3If a group like that did exist, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't call them traffic cops.

- Hindermore, on 04/20/2008, -11/+10I saw this last year. Really something eh?
- rahamm, on 04/20/2008, -5/+169"You are not suppose to film anybody with the police because of the terrorism."
- chrgrose, on 04/20/2008, -0/+26god damned ridiculous.
- Jforsyth89, on 04/21/2008, -0/+53Quiet, the terrorism may be listening!
- shadeOfGrey, on 04/21/2008, -0/+16After seeing this, now the terrorists know we have meter maids.
- Mac454, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1And watch out for the Iraq. They are both watching youtube.

- Jalh, on 04/21/2008, -1/+3na rly bitch !
- sgtpppr, on 04/21/2008, -0/+24Prior to this, terrorists didn't realize you couldn't park in front of fire hydrants and might have been foiled! Back to the drawing board!
- Paul1245, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1She seems like an excellent candidate for an NYPD Parking Inspector......
- PatNolan, on 04/20/2008, -20/+4Bore me. Get a shot of NYPD shooting black people or anally raping Hispanics with plungers and then try again. Seriously, with all the problems any large organization has, don't you think that blocking the plug is rather minor?
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -2/+10not when they blitz the citizenry with tickets, no.
- PatNolan, on 04/21/2008, -4/+2If the worst thing you have to worry about in life is a ticket for breaking the law -- you have nothing to complain about. The video shooter's attitude ruined his point of view. It was parking for christ's sake. Don't play it up like any of the previous issues NYPD has had.
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -2/+10not when they blitz the citizenry with tickets, no.
- Supernova36, on 04/20/2008, -5/+5Sometimes you have to bend the law to catch those who break the law... right...? Hmm..
- Nelka, on 04/20/2008, -23/+35Can he make a point without being so vicious and crude? The moment he starts cussing these people out, he sort of loses any credibility.
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -2/+40the moment the retired officer called him an "*****", i think all manner of decorum went out the window. in fact, i would call it irl trolling.
- theonlywizdum, on 04/21/2008, -3/+0if he wanted any credibility, he shouldn't have taken the bait. OH NO! SHE CALLED HIM AN *****, he better swear back at her to make it even.
- sgtpppr, on 04/21/2008, -1/+5Well, this guy is about NYC as it gets. She called him an ***** and that's all he needed to let loose the flood gates on her. I'm not sure you are allowed to live in NYC without 'cocksucka', '*****', and '*****' in your vocabulary.
- digitalunit, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1With that frame of mind you're not necessarily watching for a problem but rather your own entertainment because you simply don't care, but that's ok, that's what everybody else does and she can get away with that now.
- dustout, on 04/21/2008, -3/+1agree'd, the guy in the video sounded like a real jerk
- kurtwinter, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2What's crude is $115 ticket you get for parking illegally for even a second in NYC. These pig ***** deserve all they get when they break the rules, because when regular people do, you end up having to walk 2 miles, spend $500 and wait 2 ***** hours to get your car out of the towing yard.
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -2/+40the moment the retired officer called him an "*****", i think all manner of decorum went out the window. in fact, i would call it irl trolling.
- agentlame, on 04/20/2008, -13/+48While I did enjoy the "point" of the video, the commentary from the person operating the camera was completely childish.
"You're a *****!" Really?
Personally, I think he nullified his own point. He should muted the audio, and used subtitles.
Shame to, the video speaks volumes about how some police regard the laws they have sworn to uphold... so long as they don't interfere with their lunch.- geezor, on 04/20/2008, -3/+20To be fair, he only cursed in response to the a**hole curse that the "retired cop" shouted at him.
- agentlame, on 04/21/2008, -2/+8You are correct, and that is almost the point I'm making.
He could have gained more credibility--in book, at least--by being the 'bigger person'.
But when presented with the option to do so, he behaved childishly.
To me, it's not about what he said, it's about his character.- Velnich, on 04/21/2008, -4/+2Line all three up. The guy holding the camera is the one I'd want to beat the ***** out of the most.
- digitalunit, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1Right, Velnich, because you get to judge and punish other people, you have that right.
- Velnich, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1I don't have the right to say what I'd "want" to do?
- BriscoeJr, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3*****
- agentlame, on 04/21/2008, -2/+8You are correct, and that is almost the point I'm making.
- scamper22, on 04/21/2008, -2/+1oh blah. when when people realize police officers are just workers, like everyone else.
Just like doctors, engineers, nurses... are all workers like everyone else.
does 'swearing to uphold' the law really mean anything grand? It's a given that police officers are going to abuse their powers. Police officers will speed, drink and drive, park illegally and no other police officer is going to arrest them. The average police officer is no more honest than than average guy on the street.
Making a big deal about this traffic cop is like being mad at the ATT tech who gets caught torrenting. You know they do it no matter what they lecture you on.
Should we expect more from our officers? Maybe. Yet, the solution is not to rant against them. It's to make sure there is a proper civilian complaints and oversight body.- 14justice, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2I disagree. Ranting is necessary to mobilize public opinion in order to generate sufficient complaints that the oversight body finds it politically expedient to actually do something about the problem.
- geezor, on 04/20/2008, -3/+20To be fair, he only cursed in response to the a**hole curse that the "retired cop" shouted at him.
- llama5492, on 04/20/2008, -8/+2Owned IMO.
- shyboy2008, on 04/20/2008, -16/+34let see Jimmy Justice go into harlem and pull this ***** off.
- pintomp3, on 04/20/2008, -0/+45because harlem is overflowing with love for cops?
- sgtpppr, on 04/21/2008, -1/+12Cops try to avoid areas with high crime. If they didn't, they'd be busy all day and who wants to actually work for a living?
- earthceltic, on 04/20/2008, -8/+19I'm pretty sure you can film anyone you want in a public area, number one.
Number two, instead of harassing the woman he should have gone ahead and called the cops ON the cops, they are fully expected to write tickets against their own force when necessary. I know a few instances where cops have been pulled over for speeding in my home town (I was an EMT)
Although the "retired" worker was an annoying bitch, I don't get the whole "awesome commentary" from this.. the guy was a douche.- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -1/+3oh yeah, the iab is known for its veracity in pursuing matters. *****, the iab is about as effective as a health warning on a pack of cigarettes to a longtime smoker.
- Scaryclouds, on 04/20/2008, -4/+3I agree. Also the comments made about here moving her car five feet with out wearing a seat belt is utterly ridiculous.
- proliance, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1I've never know a police officer to give another cop (on duty or not) a ticket for a moving violation unless it was for DUI. But the cops will ticket off duty Deputy Sheriffs for minor violations such as expired plates.
Watched it happen one day when I was pulling into work and saw a city cop gave a ticket to a uniformed Deputy Sheriff for plates that had expired the month before. He wasn't too happy. - scamper22, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1sorry man. I'd be afraid to call the cops on the cops. You must be insane to think you should do that. Cops don't arrest other cops, unless its like murder or something. You'd be labeled just a trouble maker and will be treated as such.
- AngeloM3, on 04/21/2008, -0/+2earthceltic.... you are correct. As long as you (or the camera) are on public property, you have every right to film anyone you want. You can also film someone that is on/in private property... as long as your still on Public property.
- HandsomeRuss, on 04/20/2008, -20/+8Jesus you people are ignorant. Emergency vehicles are exempt from parking laws. She can park wherever she wants. Her car needs to be very easily accessible in case she gets an emergency call. This is why it is completely legal and should be.
- theL3G4CY, on 04/20/2008, -0/+10Agreed, but... in case she gets and emergency call? really?? what the ***** is her fat ass going to do in an emergency? Just stick to the "those vehicles are exempt from parking laws" which i totally buy, but you and I both know she can't assist anyone during an emergency call in her physical state.
- ileftfark, on 04/20/2008, -0/+11I didn't realize a Traffic Cop was an "Emergency Responder". Thanks for the info.
- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -0/+5even when it's someone whose body-type is recognized as morbidly obese andis thereby eligible for a handicapped plate due to limited mobility? is that why police might need the ability to park right outside? because some on the force can not scramble to their car and can only waddle?
- JamesMatt, on 04/20/2008, -10/+3the camera guy is stalker waiting outside for the cop to come out........hahahaha
- BigglesPiP, on 04/20/2008, -5/+84The guys a dick, but he's right.
- Velnich, on 04/21/2008, -8/+3He's enough of a dick, that I don't care anymore that he's right. The dick:correctness ratio was way too far off.
- jaydoj, on 04/20/2008, -1/+19She's a bit girthy to be a cop, a traffic cop even....There's got to be some physical standard for police officers, even the ones that dont' chase 'bad guys'. What if her fellow boy (and girls) in blue need back up, and shes the only one around to help? Her physical state would prohibit her from actually helping in any way.
- Typhoon2009, on 04/20/2008, -7/+4There are these things called "guns"... they work much like the bow and arrow or the spear. I prefer the latter for hunting sabre-tooths, but the "gun" is nevertheless a viable method of catching prey.
- jaydoj, on 04/20/2008, -0/+6and how do i obtain this 'gun' you speak of?
- Typhoon2009, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3The blacksmith in Forlearon has a few.

If this guy wants to play vigilante, he needs to be more professional than the people is he trying to bust. He shouldn't even have confronted the officer. He isn't out there trying to make sure officers are held to the letter of the law. He's out there trying to pick fights and thinks he looks cool doing so. He FAILS. He truly is an *****.- superdoofus, on 04/20/2008, -4/+25"***** you, *****" was uttered after a retired officer called him an "*****" and before the uniformed officer raised her middle finger at him. you wanna talk about respectful interaction and professionalism some more?
- czeman, on 04/20/2008, -3/+4You COMPLETELY missed the point. Do investigative reporters (typically) lose their cool when confronting the people they're investigating? No. Like I said, he needs to be more professional than the people he confronts. Nobody expects them to behave, but I would like to believe that most of us would expect better out of him when he's doing this.
- becknell, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1The only case I can think of is the Panorama episode on Scientology.
- Velnich, on 04/21/2008, -2/+2The retired officer was just stating the obvious.
- buckrogers1965, on 04/21/2008, -1/+3So was he.

- C0MF0RTABLYnumb, on 04/20/2008, -0/+7I have to say this video was the exception, in all of his other videos he is respectful.

- cidman2001, on 04/20/2008, -12/+4I think this guy must work for the Fox News show "The O'reilly Factor". He seems to be obnoxious enough...I do have to admit I've felt tempted to say something when I see cops doing things they would bust you for. I see them roll thorough the 4 way stop sign in front of my house all the time. To make matters worse, I live next to a playground! Dumb Asses!
- sgtpppr, on 04/21/2008, -0/+3If this was on Fox News, it would be a story about how filming police, gov't officials, or landmarks is a threat to national security and should be made illegal to protect our children from 'islamofascists'.
- 14justice, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1So make a video and put it on Youtube!
- crackedlogic, on 04/20/2008, -5/+35I AM JIMMY JUSTICE!!! YOUR DAYS OF RUNNING AROUND THIS CITY LIKE SOME SORT OF COWBOY ARE OVER!!!

- rockrapdude, on 04/20/2008, -3/+10Well, our mayor parked on a road crossing and they didn't do anything.
- MyDiggIsBig, on 04/21/2008, -0/+4our mayor is a dog. literally
- and303, on 04/20/2008, -16/+2Is the dude filming 14 years old?
I kept secretly hoping that she'd smash him in the face with her baton.- AppleMacStud, on 04/20/2008, -1/+4If she tried that she would likely hurt herself far more than she would him. In her condition all she can do is observe and report like a security guard. Disgusting.
- siszam, on 04/21/2008, -1/+2I wish she had. Then she would be fired and he would be rich.
- Donoram, on 04/20/2008, -12/+6Didn't I see this last posted on Digg in march of 1983?
